Here is the fix that helped me: Open Registry Editor (just type regedit in windows search) Go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options Set DevOverrideEnable = 0 (double click and change the value) restart PC This value should usually be 0, but was set to 1 from a keygen or activator of a software or something.
This latest patch has been a cluster for many people, myself included, Riot support couldn't fix what this video fixed for me in about 10 seconds. I managed to start the game while closing down Vanguard and hit play instantly. Very weird, I think Riot should overlook their systems for real.
Still doesnt work for me. I havent played league in like 3 years and decided to start again now... What a horrible timing. Even after closing Vanguard my game still has to update for me to play and it fails every time, rlly frustrating
I start both League and Valorant this way. Pretty much having Vanguard started with windows or from vgctray.exe, then opening Riot Launcher, closing vgctray and clicking Play and they launch. If I close the games I just open vanguard, then client and exit vanguard to start the game. Any fix as of now?
So cringe man. This trash anti-cheat was already malfunctional in Valorant, why apply it to a perfectly fine game. Jesus... Thanks for the fix, though. Would have never guessed I had to close it and start the game. Working nicely, Riot, you've really outdone yourselves this time.
@@LotusGeek but it works only partially, because if you close lol, once you close vanguard, you can't reopen lol, you are forced to restart the pc, make the vanguard icon appear again and repeat the procedure, however if I can help someone with the my same problem, I'll leave written here what solved my problem "permanently" 1. Open registry editor (just type regedit in Windows search) 2. Go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options 3. Set DevOverrideEnable = 0 (double click and change the value) 4. Restart your PC 5. Launch the Riot Client as Administrator 6. Launch League of Legends
