Didn’t you see how lightly those pieces would penetrate the firewall. If any of those had come to their feet then it would have hurt.

Why so high revs wen not needed? Engine seems to have plenty of torque.

Was clutch slip that did that. Heat happens fast

that's crazy! I've never heard of the flywheel detonating before..... also I don't think you know what a "sleeper" is XD that beach has a turbo coming out of the head!
If flywheels couldn't explode, it would be a perfect way to store energy. But there are also plenty of problems. And yes, superflywheels are tested in underground chambers with minimum 1 meter thick concrete walls.

It’s my neighbors old drift project he rebuilt the hole engine in 2 weeks all I say is that was a killing machine
Could be that OEM FW lightened in the heavy outer crown no fail, cast iron and big G centrifugal forces by high rpm . Hope no damage to driver, be careful.
I wonder if it's too much to tune the car when it's broken down in the middle of everything.

@@ogmudbone2334 Flywheel is attached to the back of the fully assembled engine. The car is yet to be finished, maybe this summer... It takes time and money for one person to build things right.

Inte särskilt bra när en hårt trimmad motor hackar på varvtalsregulatorn.
Ingen verkar bry sig om det utan bara håller nere men när det sker och maskin snabbt slår av och på med full effekt så "vacklar" allt från lager till svänghjul.
Mycket större risk för ras när regulatorn jobbar.

Got zero sympathy for these guys. What did they expect would happen?
It was due to clutch slip, the flywheel can handle the rpm and handle the power, but it wont handle a slipping clutch, thermal explosion.

If you're that *stupid* to push a highly tuned engine just to do slow burnouts over and over again you deserve the expected failure.
