- The 8 minute barrier has been broken! I couldn't be happier with this run. While it is certainly not perfect, it is extremely good and I have met my goal. I remember the ign vid where the devs react to a 10 minute speedrun, insane that its now been beaten by 2 full minutes !! Crazy to see the starts evolve, especially considering how fast it seemed like they were going back then

This is absolutely incredible! A couple of questions: how tight is the window to get into ATP, and are there TAS tools for OW yet? no matter what, great job with this run!
It's not that tight to just get an entrance, but in a speedrun you want to go for optimal flight timings both before and after that, so it's trickier than that might make it seem. Unfortunately there are no TAS tools yet

I mean if this was real life and hatchling went through 9 million loops, this isn't an unrealistic pace.
the timeloop has been activated for 9 million loops, but the hatchling's memories were only sent back in time once, so the hatching is just a natural.

Previously, we've had to die a few times to unlock dozing off. How does this run manage that?
Incredible run, a lot of new tech since the last speedrun I watched
An update allowed you to sleep from the outset of the game, saving you from having to die (I think twice?) to unlock it. Small quality of life thing for normal people, huge time save for speedrunners.

I'm a super noob , but why do all the speed runners shoot the orb shooter? What's it do for you?
Are you talking about the scout launcher? Firing that gives you backwards momentum

@@jacobkaneff8261 That is a setup for guyser skip. It's a very precise trick since you have to land on a specific part of the railing to not die of fall damage

well it was, the new patch saved about 35 seconds

@@Randompancakes12345 the new patch removed the requirement to die twice to unlock sleeping, which changed the route

How did he get Chert’s instrument?
See 7:32. We just grab it with the signalscope. It loads in once you talk to Riebeck and can be grabbed from any distance, so there is no need to go over to the telescope
