Hi folks - loved the master’s picks. I already have Shane in my bet, and interestingly I have Hideki as well, who was meeting a lot of the criteria noted in your chat. One ‘outside’ bet for me is Sergio. His ball striking has returned, his putting looks better than normal, and his driving is exceptional. In saying all of this, and coming from N.Ireland, I’d pay all the money I have to see Rory win! Let’s hope he can hold it together and just free flow.
It’s funny to hear you talk about pimento cheese sandwiches. I live in Alabama and that is a very common sandwich in the southern United States. It’s our equivalent of y’all’s beans on toast! It’s good to us, but I can see how it wouldn’t be to someone who didn’t grow up eating it.
Great show as always guys, really enjoyed it. One question though, why has nobody picked Max Homa as a major winner? The guy has been playing exceptionally well lately.
For some reason... (and he's not a favorite player of mine), "I've got a feeling" Wyndham Clark will win it this year. Also... Augusta National has bird sounds piped in with speakers strategically placed in the trees (so I've read/heard)... that's the attention to detail of the overall experience.
i know Kieran didnt get some of the players he wanted but I still think he has the best team. surprised that none of spieth, dechambeau, thomas, morikawa or finau were picked. Love the podcast lads.
Loved the Podcast :). Any plans to do anything in China with any of their professionals? A great place to grow your channel and content in an emerging market.
I remember you guys last year saying it was only a matter of time until McIlroy won another major as he's too good. I thought no! Chances of you playing your best (and better than everyone else) 4 specific times a year is practically zero. Glad to see that you've reined in those feelings now.
The Open should be more respectful towards its customers the concession prices are outrageous. They should be shamed into reducing them, just adds to the elitist air around golf.
@@RoughCutGolfPodcastI’m not 100% but I’m sure at one time you could take your own drink into the open I seem to remember someone walking in with a tray of 24 beers. Mind you you could get in on the day before none of this ballot stuff like now.
The disrespect put on Pimento Cheese is atrocious, a beautiful southern delicacy defamed by a northerner! I'll let you know my thoughts on the Butter Pie.... BTW thanks for the recs on London courses, playing the Berkshire this week!
If I had to make a bet on the Masters it would be that Scotty will not win! He is just the best player on the PGA this year...winning 2 out of 9 tournaments played...and the 7 that he didn't win, he lost against who...? I would put a bit of money that a LIV golfer will walk away with the title on Sunday... Wouldn't be surprised if Bryson does something this year...since he changed his driver he's driving has been bloody good and his very consistent draw (not to mention his distance) suits the course, and he is one of the best putters when he's on...
My anti-podcast team (players not chosen). I guarantee that I will do better than at least 2 (if not 3 of the chosen teams). DeChambeau/Homa/Spieth/Theegala
Looking at the list of the invited golfers to The Masters and seeing a bunch of nobody's from the PGA and PGA-affiliated Tours...but not Dean Burmester that won LIV tournament this weekend against a very strong field with many Major winners, and 2 tournaments in December on Sunshine Tour including the 2nd oldest Open in golf...and not Louis Oosthuizen, a past Major winner who also won 2 Tournaments in December on Sunshine Tour...and not Taylor Gooch who was probably the best golfer last year and LIV champion player of 2023 and leader of the money-list...? What a joke...Majors could easily become just 4 more PGA Elevated Events soon...
Masters, the weakest field by far of the so called majors.. made up of ams and past winners who have no chance.. its all about the "power" of the people who run it, nothing more.
PGA has done a great job of programming the average cable watching idiot into thinking the PGA's poster boy, Rory is the next coming even though his last major was 10 years ago.
Mick needs a shock collar and when he talks out of turn or over someone Pete shocks him lol
Mick needs to groom that beard... he looks SO dirty and smelly with that thing.
We’ll sort that for next time.
I'd shock him, just for the halibut

By far the best golf podcast around!
Great chat -made me laugh that Mick was so pleased with his Halibut joke but Pete just piled straight though it 😃
Another highlight to Masters week, Jacob’s stats and Kieran’s Brooks man crush
Love this content, I've been looking forward to watching your picks, and hearing about the results next week.
Slight correction on the Bibb numbers. The defending Champion always gets the #1, then its done by when the player checks in.

Mick slowly morphing into his hero Pete 😂
It could be worse. M

Halibut 🤣 genius
Definitely enjoying the film quotes than the boring football chat from the “other” podcast 😉 keep up the good work gentlemen
Much appreciated!
Agree with the take on pimento cheese sandwiches, strongly… Also - I back Kieran’s take on steak and fish at restaurants.

watching from Kenya, come on down, NGCC is my local course
Guys, my team would be,
Neimann, Fleetwood, Mcilroy, Dechambeau.
What a team!
Thank you I live here in the USA and yes Budweiser is gross.
Andres Iniesta was the one that scored WC final :)
Nick Talyor is now 350/1 ;)
So close! Only 15 shots off.
My picks - Ron, Pad, Con and Dec. Heard it here first👍🏻
Those names sound familiar.
Loved the Podcast :). Any plans to do anything in China with any of their professionals? A great place to grow your channel and content in an emerging market.
Tyrrell Hatton was my pick but just read his caddie got injured could this make it not possible or maybe more possible 🤔
I'm sorry guys but it'll be either Åberg or Hovland, you heard it here first
Good takes - who do you think has the best Major picks this year?
Mick's got the winner!!
Love the podcast boys but I’m 20 minutes in and you keep quoting lines from Batman and Robin, not Batman forever.

I’d already put little each way bet on Taylor 🙌🏻
Haha "their roots go deep".
"& Rohan will answer!!!!"
A man of taste.
Matt Fitzpatrick is 10 in the world rankings!!
I would have so had harman and bhatia in my team.

Interesting take! How much should a Major championship cost?
The masters can afford to charge £1.50 for a sandwich when entry is £2k+…
@@jackramsden9346 actually that’s a good point.

You find this with most events in the UK. Went to Festival of Speed and prices were expensive. Captive audience.
Whackin' Niemann! Bets in
Shane lowry for me this week. Him and rory in the final group rory bogeys the last shane pars to win it and rory drops to his knees in tears
Colin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose.
Good work!
@@RoughCutGolfPodcast I just noticed, your graphic is wrong... Pete's 1st pick is off.

30 euros for fish and chips at the ryde cup in Rome
Think about this Tiger could someday be hitting the ceremonial first time shot.
Stop, the PGA sycophants cant handle that.
Too bad you didn't have a d4. Would have been extra nerdy!
Pimento cheese is to cheese as egg salad is to eggs
Can't see a LIV player doing any good , maybe big John but quite honestly they don't play enough golf
Rahm again!
Who killed the dinosaurs? The ice age UHGHRRHHUGG
Forgot about this one. So good.
Did nobody in the edit notice the graphic that had Rahm on 2 teams?
He’s just that good
As was the dinner menu!😂
Who is that guy in the red top 🧐
Make a Steak 🤔 what are the ingredients to ‘make a steak’?
My brain says Brooks Koepka but my heart says Tiger can make a run at it.
Let’s goooooo
sleeping on flower this year

I will be betting $1 on Akshay Bhatia for the swan song win!
I sent my Spanish girlfriend the champions dinner menu and she asked me was I playing in it. Does anyone know if they let 17 hcps in yet? 😂
I’m sure they’d get a lot of applicants.
Poor Kieran.

Bold choices
Outsider. Min Woo Lee
Rory? No! Scottie? No! Rory for the PGA. Scheffler will finish about 5th.
Pete, tell your crew it’s the Masters and not the Marsters😂
Stop using the word fire to describe things Mick ya weirdo.
But what if they’re 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Did I miss what the stakes are? Does the loser refill the snacks again?
