At least he admitted it's about the money, unlike many others. What's not mentioned is he no doubt saw the window to collect his half a billion closing if a PGA-LIV agreement happens. I get why anyone would have a hard time passing that up. Just be real and own it.

All of them have made references to money in one way or another. Only exception is Lee Westwood because he opted to do a NDA

Just about everyone acknowledged the money but said it wasn't the ONLY reason. LIV haters only hear what they want to hear. They insist that LIV players say YES, MONEY, ONLY MONEY, I LOVE MONEY 😅😅

    • @industrialpalletworx3548

@ralphkramden2826 what else would it be? There's no legacy with LIV. No history. Play less? I would disagree. 16 LIV tournaments and 4 majors make 20 tournaments a year. That's about what they played on the PGA Tour. The PGA Tour has an incredible retirement plan, so I've read. What does LIV have? Phil complained about the PGA Tour requiring players to sign over their rights to use their image. LIV did the same thing. Besides the money, what else draw players in?

    • @laterally1
      @laterally1 8 месяцев назад +2

Not a LIV hater. Just looking for them to at least look like they're being sincere and straightforward. These guys all have PR don't they? From my recollection Harold Varner III was the only one who straight up said it was about the money. No BS. Most others were like, grow the game, schedule, team format blah blah... oh you're offering me 100 mil? Ok fine I guess I'll take it

    Reasons to join LIV
    1. Ownership opportunity
    2. GUARANTEED money
    3. Get to wear shorts
    4. Less days of “work” (even if they play the same number of tournaments, the tournaments are one day less)
    5. Team dynamic
    6. Grow golf? (The start of LIV has certainly changed things at the PGA TOUR, but idk if it’s growing the game)
    Reasons not to:
    1. Legacy/records
    2. Drama and media conflict

I mean golf is one of the only sports where fans would cheer for whoever is winning, so basically barely any loyalty to a golfer. People should just grow up, enjoy these golfers and the show they put on, and feel free to watch or not watch.

I don’t expect liv players to play in any pga tour tournaments any time soon! After SSG took over they relegated pif to “if anything, minority investors.
They deserve it for destabilizing the industry which they did! And I love they being slapped after SSG took over!!! Anybody here thinks pif owners care about golf? They know oil running low and have to invest. It’s about business and business ppl care about $, feelings are secondary or nonexistent. So, no hate but I am not expecting liv players to play in any other place than mayors for those that qualify. I guess eventually they will be able to play in the pga maybe?
A lot of lawyers conversations and business agreements would have to take place first and honestly, I don’t care to watch any liv players on tour after they left. I was a rham fan and I don’t care watching him at all. I don’t idolize any man, I am not that needy.
Good luck and enjoy liv. This is my opinion. I don’t need to watch them same way they don’t need or care about me. It’s all about the money. Good luck, no hate. PGA should focus on new generation and since it may take years before any merger 😀 focus on becoming more powerful and expanding operations to new investors. Maybe PGA should go into the stock market as an investment opportunity? Buena suerte rham a tu familia y lo mejor. Good luck rham 👍🏼.

The majors are behind the split, not LIV. LIV was just supposed to be elevated events where the best can compete against each other more often. That's it. They could still play in PGA and wherever else. The majors decided to not allow ranking points and got PGA to ban any player who plays in LIV. The split is artificial and completely the fault of the majors.
