I always thought "IT Engineering" is THE only thing for me, coz I was fasctinated by Computers (early 2003). Somehow managed to join a good 'A' grade college in Mumbai. Managed to clear 1st year except for Mechanics and Maths. Got into 2nd year but still could'nt clear Mechanics (I always kept telling myself, why the hell Mechanics when I am in IT?)
Well 2nd year I got dropped out. Well, I was embarassed to the core that I let down my family, coz every penny for was hard earned (at one point I had suicidal thoughts). But here I am, travelled more than 10 countries, managed to buy a 1 bhk house, got married and just working on my dream start up..
Don't lose hope. Don't stop.

I'm going through the same, I'm in 2nd year Btech and I'll get a year down bcoz of maths from 1st year I'm thinking about dropping out but it ain't easy, you feel bad for your parents, pathetic towards your self...
What did uh do when uh were dropped out ???
I had 23 backlogs in mechanical engineering and never got any placements but that is when you realise you have to stop complaining about your life .

I Got A KT in Calculas and could not clear it in 2nd sem also, I too thought I would never Get through it. But once I started realising 1 kt could not decide my future it was then The subject started looking easy to me and I managed to clear it in 3 sem. Today I am in the final sem of engineering and never have I ever had a back after my first sem. I still have friends struggling to clear Calculas , EG ,M3. But the thing I realised and will always remember that once you change the approach of your thinking towards a tuff situation every things seem esay.

@@roshanv5345 When you get into a college, no matter whatever you course/degree you choose to pursue, a KT (short for Allowed to Keep Terms when they ATKT), it's a subject which you fail to clear in your current semester. Unlike schools, you'll be allowed to proceed in next semester but you'll be getting a chance to clear the subject which you failed to clear in this semester either in the very next semester or the next semester depending on your college's/university's rules. But you've to make sure you clear that within the time span of your degree, like for example, you choose engineering, an engineering is supposed to be finished in 4 years but if you fail to do so, it may be kind of dampen your motivation because you'll feel like not being able to clear that one subject has not just ruined but weakened your profile when you go for a job interview.

I just gave my first sem graphics exam, it was VERY bad. I'm scared that I'm gonna fail it. My internal marks are okay, but I screwed up the externals I'm terrified.

For those who doesn't understand what KT means
It is the short for Keeping Terms as in BE you don't fail, you get a backlog (KT) which means you FAILED.

No KTs but my GPA dropped a lot in my second year. Worked hard after that and got the highest package in my entire college

I was like really lucky with KTs had 9 till 3rd Sem, covid hit after this and cleared all during covid, so for me covid was like the best thing that happened (online exams + covid saved my career)
