I want to join! I just havent started fixing my aptitude test requirements. For content suggestions, hmmm.. maybe if you dont mind sharing your experience as a woman joining the army? What was your routine during training? Etc It is nice to see a woman post videos about like this! Thank you
Here I am scrolling through YT and I see your beaming face and I'm like "Woah, you have a RUclips channel?" but then it's been like a year since you posted. Make anything! I'm down to watch. ;)
I'd like to see a series on personal development work that could be done along side military training. For instance the quotes you have in the background behind you are tools to develop perspective. There are all sorts of things one can do to make sure they're being the best they can be. So a series on that could be great.
Hey Yusef, great idea! I do indeed read books, listen to podcasts, etc. May be interesting to tie that into the CAF especially the 12 leadership principles. Checkout our FB group facebook.com/groups/cafcommunity.yt/
kyra, 1.what's the max age to join royal military college canada(RMC) 2.apart from RMC are there any other officer selection programme, what is the max age limit and number of attempts permitted 3.what is the max age to be selected as a pilot in royal canadian air force
Hey Manlasu, I don't have the answers to your questions but you can always contact RMC recruiters directly and ask! You can also ask in our group facebook.com/groups/cafcommunity.yt/
Decisions and priorities change as we grow. You gave it a try. I do agree, I hate taking Distance Learning courses; they are the craze right now in CAF.
Hi Kyra, I noticed from your descriptions you joined the Canadian Armed Forces as an Engineer Officer while still in university. Did you join as a direct entry officer (DEO) or the regular officer training plan (ROTP)?
I joined the Reserves! So it was just like having a part-time job (more exciting though). I didn't hear DEO or ROTP during my process so I don't think it applied to me.
I have some doubts about their security skills, higher rank implies often lower skills. I don't judge but someone who works in the field of security should be able to make the difference between a 56 and a AkS-222. I saw in my news a video with someone who had a toy machine gun. After, they gave a speech about how we need freedom restrictions and new cyber police.
Wtfff I literally just watched all your videos just to get this news 😢 I wasn't passionate about doing it but you convinced me, now I'm questioning my decision. I got so much questions but I don't have ig
Don’t do it if ur not passionate about it. You’ll just waste your time and quit. If I was such a strong factor in ur decision, you don’t have the drive it’s gonna take
@@KyraNankivell I wouldn't classify you as the driving force, I think passionate was too strong of a word. You provided great insight and a thorough amount of information which helped my decision. but I still got a lot of questions. I already applied, I'm just procrastinating on actually going through the training
I was thinking of joining AF but I don’t think I can physically deal with the GForces they deal with aha. I’ve applied for the test and will be doing my CFAT on Tuesday, and I’ve been stuck between doing Materials Technician or Aviation Systems Technician. Idk if you’d know this, but has BMQ been changed since Covid is being dialed back with the shots?
How did your test go? Would love to hear more about it in our group facebook.com/groups/cafcommunity.yt/ :) I'm not sure how BMQ has changed, but I believe vaccinations are required
@@KyraNankivell it went amazing. Thank you for asking. I passed my questions with almost a perfect score thanks to your videos. Then passed all my medical. I will be leaving for BMQ on the 22nd :) thank you so much for making these videos. I got accepted as an Aviation Structures Technician
Thank you so much for the videos you've posted. Would using that army-test website be sufficient in terms of practice for the CFAT? Or would I need additional sources? Thanks :)
Hey Sean! Thanks for watching the vids ;) I think army test is great and might be well complemented with a vocab app on your phone. Just because vocab is tricky and takes a little extra practice, it’s good to have it easily accessible when you have a few minutes in the day. Army-test has a mobile app too!
@@KyraNankivell Hello, I would like to know if you used mobile app version ($13.99) or desktop software version ($29), are they both same? which one would you suggest? I am preparing for CFAT. Thanks in advance.
Haha I think I’m done with the military for now. When I was younger my dad suggested the AF tho, because they sleep in nice barracks not on the ground in the field lol
How long does the process go, from applying to the Basic training for you? I finished my aptitude test on may 18th and they said that I should hear back from them in about few weeks but its been almost 2 months now and nothing back from them. If they don't get back to me by September then I am probably applying to college. Joining the CAF is what my dad expect me to do because its bring a lot of benefits later on with my life but I just want to go to school, be an electrician, get a job and have a decent life with my boyfriend. Being the only boy in the family is not easy, so much expectation. I hope that he doesn't find out that I have a boyfriend. Oh well, will see how it goes, I hope that he is not disappointing if I didn't get in, I already told him that don't expect to much from me, you might be disappointing, I hope he knows that.
I got an interview call an hour after my aptitude test & medical. A week later placed on the competition list. I highly recommend you contact your local recruiting detachment to get some answers. My experience could be because I was placed as a priority on my application file or they are really behind where you are, who knows but don't wait & find out.
@@KyraNankivell most of us are just joining to be the best of the best if its not JTF2 THEN csor, because whats the point if your not willing to go over the limit right.
