The reason for putting flour in the bag is to stop the juices from super heating & blowing up the bag. Also do use the juices in the bag to make a delicious gravy, just strain them & thicken them a little if you want a thicker gravy. From 1 Aussie to another bravo, it looked scrumptious 👍🏻👍🏻
G'day 2 Aussie 🇦🇺. That's the way... An oven bag makes all the difference. Nice to see you eating at home for a change and a Leg of Lamb is a great choice to it with. Looking forward to Pt2 The Snack Pack. Cheers.
Like the idea for sure. Those air fryers are a great little invention. You could have easily gotten away with cooking that thing within the hour I reckon. I think an hour an a half was a little too long, it's a bit overcooked for my liking but that comes down to preference.
Love this video 2 Aussie. Can’t wait for part 2. Great idea to mix it up with the takeaway food. 2 friendly I can give you: 1. The juices left in the bag would help to make the most amazing gravy. 2. You must season your meat before cooking! Salt and pepper all over the meat with olive oil. Encore! Encore!
What do you guys pay for a leg of lamb in Straya please? It's £7.99 a kg in our equivalent of Walmart. (About £18 for a 5 lb leg to feed a family, in England).
I grew eating hogget in nz. roast hogget ya can't beat it. you bloody beauty. my mum paid $11 for a side of hogget. gotta have mint sauce made with fresh mint leaves. its made me hungry.
Make a couple of aluminium slings to male removal 99% fool proof (or get the silicone one with lattice bottom) before placing the bagged lamb in the airfyrer (I have the Ninja Foodi). OMG, can't believe you discarded those juices! At the very least, strain and freeze for later use!
I’m giving it a crack tonight 2👍.. made up a marinade to go over the top half way through cooking. Just using wistershire sauce, mint sauce, soy sauce and honey.. should be eatswah lad. Have a good one. Trissyboi
Really loved your video as it was so down to earth, but although I haven't actually tried it out in my airfryer yet, I do have to agree with Mr SlightlyBearded in as much as it looks a bit over-cooked for me, so like him, I reckon an hour may well have been sufficient. However my main peeve is that you threw all those lovely juices in the bag down the sink!! Sacrilege!! Just think of the lovely rich gravy you could have made out of that?!

Well Done.....Great way of cooking Lamb in air fryer with no mess. Love it....
The flour in the bag is used to make a quick gravy from the tallow that's been rendered off the fat of the lamb
Thanks that's a great video.
Didn't ever think to use an oven bag but I will now 👌

Roast pork in the air fryer is the bomb! You can't fail on the crackle, it's nearly impossible to stuff it up.

No the flour is to make gravy. You threw the best bit out.
