@@allenthomas914 you don't need less flare, you need a slower reaction to the dry. Less flare will leave you more susceptible to the wet dry of a house shot, if you miss in it will slide too far. The flare guarantees that a dry cover is available when you reach the dry on the lane. Urethane (any) will slow reaction to the dry, and offer control. Control is what you crave.

Dont do that.... Develop your own game! I've bought my first Storm ball last year, Hyroad Nano. It's a good ball, but not as dynamic or versatile as my Global 900 Black Ops. When I use that ball, I get more then a few compliments, even enough to get a few people to buy that ball, because of how I was able to make it react. While some results were "similar" they couldn't match what mine could do. And for the physical aspect, I'm kind of an athletic, lanky 6'3" left handed-half thumb bowler. I look down the lane, the same as a pitcher looks down the strike zone and I throw. Its really fun taking someone else's (right handed) ball, and make it hook harder then the letter "J". Sorry to ramble on, but I think you'll enjoy the game more not worrying about how others bowl. Just practice.
As far as I know, yes. The PSO at my home center is a staffer, and had a collection of demo balls. One was a two-handed layout with a similar placement. Now I know demo balls are very different from personalized layouts, but similar layouts can be used. Just talk to a helpful PSO.
Layouts are relative to the middle of your grip and your PAP (for asyms the mass bias as well). Only difference for two handed is the center of your grip is between your fingers

It looks like control reactive to me. Slower than the IQ but actually shapes when a speed heavy dude like me throws it. Can’t wait till mine is in my grubby paws :)
Because it is rampant below in the comments, every pitch ball made by Storm is urethane. They are all different formulations of urethane covers and none of them are reactive.
@Kai Kimura Yes I have heard of the Purple Hammer, I have three of them. I have owned and used virtually every modern urethane ball made as well as several vintage urethane balls. I know how urethane works and why you want to use it. Visit my channel to see many urethane balls in action. The purpose of urethane is early read of the lane and control of the back end for tough patterns. The Pitch Purple is primarily a resin ball with some urethane components. They are comparing it to the Pitch Black to show how "totally different" the Pitch Purple's ball reaction and shape is from traditional urethane. The Pitch Purple is a ball that is much more usable on house shots because it is basically a resin ball. It would also be usable on break down on a sport shot when normal urethane balls are reading the fronts too early and crossing over. I am not saying it is a bad ball, I am just pointing out it is not true urethane. It's a hybrid of resin and some urethane. Nothing wrong with that. If you want to see the reaction of "real" urethane, search youtube for videos of the Columbia Black U-Dot, or Faball Blue Hammer. Watch matches from the 80's where the pros were using "real" urethane and watch how those balls rolled and then compare those ball reactions to the Pitch Purple. Then you will understand.
@Kai Kimura The Pitch Purple is not PURE urethane at all. Listen to Nordattack; he has thrown more true urethane covers than you can even dream of. The coverstock has an additive to give it reactive resin characteristics. With my higher axis rotation and RPMs, this ball is very clean through the fronts even dull and will jump too much even on a short sport pattern. True urethane never does any of those things. This urethane label on the Pitch Purple is most likely just marketing. A PSO even told me that the coverstock is a lot easier to drill into than the Pitch Black; kind of like resin. Don't get me wrong, it is a great ball but this ball screams dull mid-90s resin rather than anything truly urethane.
@@scotty2221 Did you make the ball? I would think the people at Storm who made the ball and the specs of it would know what they are talking about. @@scotty2221 you can literally see the difference. Pitch black is early and fairly weak while purple is later and stronger. The 2 will serve similar purposes, but accomplish them in different ways. I can see the purple being a good option for when the black struggles to kick the 10 out, which is a common problem with that ball

Wonder if the purple will affect the lanes as much as the black.
Its low flare so it will.
So is the release of this ball why you discontinued the fever pitch? Both are supposed to be a urethane resin hybrid?
I guess this kinda lays to rest the re color only comments on the ball. Can't wait to get my hands on the purple ball.
the purple is a bootleg reactive, while the black acts like a normal eurothane
