Okay I don't think you understand dude. I've had a muscle in my lower back that feels like it's moved over to the left and I have been trying FOR MONTHS to push it back, move it back, hot baths, heating pads, exercise, SERIOUS stretching - and then I saw one of your shorts and learned about dynamic movement. I had no clue, I always thought you had to be completely limp as a fish to stretch correctly. I got down on the floor and was like "fuck it im desperate" and repeated some of your movements and wouldn't ya know it - my back popped and the muscle feels like it went back where it's supposed to be. I'm so so so glad I came across your channel because I've been dealing with severe lower back pain my whole life and have tried everything. Everything except dynamic movement, which I had never even heard of til I saw some of your shorts.
I dont think you get it, I finally have movements and stretching I can do that actually help my back. Thank you for sharing your passion of movement and flexibility. I will in fact stay flexy now that I found your channel.
Wow that is amazing! Congrats on your success
📈🌷📈
I love the simplicity of your videos, the fact that you wear normal clothes while showing these stretches and exercises, the way that you talk through everything in common everyday language is so helpful! I have always done these types of movements without even realizing how they are helping my body, it just feels good and now I am sharing your videos with my mom because at her age she feels like she "can't" exercise fully but your videos are absolutely things that she can do which will help her a lot. Thanks a bunch!
This dude seriously has a video and routine for every problem I have with my body. It's also nice that he emphases that you shouldn't be flexing to the point you feel pain. That's some thing I never took seriously as I typically train til failure and had the mindset that if I didn't feel some kind of pain, I'm making no progress. Likely why I have so many damn issues lol
When I was 14 I had a 500lb shipment of lumber fall on me. This has legitimately helped me with my lower back in ways I didn’t think possible. I can stand straight for long periods without pain. I was already pretty flexible to begin with but this has just helped with my pain. 9 years after my injury and it’s helped massively with zero treatment
How?
@@gustykraken cause physical therapy is literally stuff like this. So I guess I moreso found ways to do so without extra money
for a second i thought you were implying the lumber falling on you is what fixed your back pain
might’ve been the wording might be just that i’m in a brain fog and dumb lol
@@WalkingNeonCarpet I was confused how you thought that then I went and reread the thing and now I can't stop reading it the same way as you.
Just this small routine? Once a day? How are you now?
Just found your channel through your shorts. I have long covid and finally found a way of moving my body that makes me feel good, and doesn't cost me so much energy that there is none left to make myself diner. This is a lifesaver. Hope many others with long covid symptoms find your channel! ❤
It actually improved my condition. My muscles in the lower back were so tough that smallest breeze over my back would send me in a pain (that lasted for 7-10 days). Now I can crawl around my garden in a loose T-shirt, breeze blowing and I'm fine. Thank you!
These videos have been so helpful to me. I appreciate your mini lessons. I especially liked this one. It's nice when you don't rush through the lesson and take a little more time. Peace.
Back pain is a normal family tradition that has been passed down from my mom's side along with my dad's side too, so I got (back pain)² but it is nice to come across this channel and help my future.
I must tell you David how grateful I am for your videos. I watch and practice your exercises every single day. I have RH and the pain has actually decreased. I no longer use a cane everyday.
Been having lower back pain for weeks. I already feel a lot better. Thanks for doing what you do!
I would love to see a video like this for the neck. I've been really enjoying your bite- sized, simple movement videos, and have already been seeing a difference in how mobile I am with less pain. Thank you!
Totally agree, I live with varying degrees of neck discomfort and pain, would love some assistance.
Please do a neck video :-)

Are you still doing this routine? How has your lower back been?
I'm recovering from a severe knee injury and I've come to realize that physiotherapy is ideal for ALL types of join and muscle related pains. The tricky part is dedicating from one to two hours every other day to keep the progression ongoing.
I'm going through some Multilevel Degenerative Disc Disease blues, and I really appreciate seeing content like this! I'm going to start doing this as often as I can!
Oh my goodness!!! Me too 😢

I don't know why instinctively held my breath. 😭

You’re the best. Thx
Strengthening is really important for back pain. I don't think this video emphasises that enough.
This comment section is like when religious followers give their testimony. You're really improving lives, keep at it!
indeed it helped a lot! Thanks, Cheers!
thank you for making this
And thank you again!
thank you!
Does this guy have an exercise routine series you can follow while exercising. I'm so into this content, been so hard to find exercise reasons that I'm excited about.
You are my new discovery! Please record something for beginners working at a desk. Greetings from Poland.
I have arthritis on my lumbar and have had it since I was a teenager. Have been going through pain every single day for 15 years. A good day for me was a day where I could walk and not feel like my bones were grinding to the point of actually falling. Bad days were just feeling my legs give out and being in so much pain that even getting out of bed was a challenge.
So what helped you?
it really helped! Thanks
Holy crap.
Learning to stretch properly may be difficult for people like ME who have a reduced ability to distinguish between "negatively percieved" emotions.
I think that being extra mindful when you stretch may be a good way to teach yourself how to "take your temp", and tell "is this pain, or discomfort+panic due to decades of chronic pain and stress?"
That shit CARRIES OVER.
Nice one, I'll give it a shot
Thank you for this sir
Great vídeo! Do you have some routine for upper back and shoulders? Mine are starting to bend foward due my job
Love your channel.
"Motion is lotion."
Gonna give this routine a try. Also I switching to zero drop shoes. Can you tell me which ones you wear?
2 MILLION? Damn bro?!
Hmm..I bet I could do most of those in my office chair. Thanks! 😊
I've been dealing with back pain since my teens, and I'm 31 now. Recently was diagnosed with Facet Joint Syndrome and came across this. I'm going to try this. I can say after one session I do feel more loose whereas my lower back often feels jammed/locked up.
HI! I have hypermobility, and for me passive stretching is just not very useful. Would a 100% active stretching routine be helpful for that? Could you make a routine for that? Legs and back mainly. Thanks!
Thx : )
hey man is there a routine you could do for your upper back? rhomboid area and in between your shoulder blades? I’m a 20 year old guy and I haven’t been able to train in the gym regularly because of this pain for the past 2 months and the job I work is very physical.
Gonna try this next time I feel pain
I knew David would have the answer for me ^_^
i really appreciate you my nigga thanks for helping people you are a saint
I just tried this and my back feels so much better! If you are experiencing pain try going slower, especially on the first one.
YES! Totally agree
I did it slower and feel so much better in the first try!
TQ bro
I'll be doing this with the 10 minute one
Great
Hey. Could you so a video on the knees please 🙏.
I was wondering if you could do a video to get more flexible in the back.
Kind of like it you are to lean backwards - how could you go further
Great video David! I've been watching some of your recent ones and you don't go into this kind of detail.
Would love an upper back video
Could you do this for mid back and neck pain?
why are you not making stretches for the office people and sedantary ones
Thank yewwww
Those are some sick Xero HFS shoes
Would this be a good routine for pain from sitting in a desk chair for too long?
I have piriformisv syndrome and lots of chronic lower back tightness and pain. Every day. It’s horrible. I take want to be able to stretch the hell out if my gluteus medius but i can never find a deep enough stretch. There are a few I’ve seen online but i feel like I’m hurting my knees in the process. Any ideas for the deepest glut medius stretch ever?
Motion IS Lotion!
That’s a logo you can put on your channel’s merch.
BAM! Yoga mats for sale.
I was sharing this to myself when I accidentally hit "not interested." Thank God for the "undo" button!
i watch these to get my mind into naturally wanna stretch, it works too!
Is this good for pain on the middle part of the back (around the T10-T12 bones) ir just for lumbar region?
Thank you. Posted to r/chronicpain
Can I do that with one bulging disk *lumbal, low part of spine, S1 L4, L5?
I feel like i cant keep my back straight/my hips upright when strechimg... any advice?
I had pain with 1st warm up you showed 😩🥺🥺
I literally just bought those shoes for the sport I’m involved in. It’s a sign
can i stretch bending sideways and do the twisting one even if i have scoliosis?
If you can't sit crisscross how would you do this stretch??
Can I do these with a herniated disc? I'm going to need surgery soon, but at the moment the pain has been subsiding. PS: I'm in my 30s.
Didn't know that you have these calmer "classes" instead just fast shorts.
Nice to see this :)
Is there any drawback doing this in bed? So on a soft surface? Or should you do it on a hard surface?
Sciatica pain relief pls!!!
Where is this city? It's beautiful, looks like some European suburbs...
