Oh,Germany❤️ I love Germany and Germans so much❤️ Germany is very beautiful country for living and travelling❤️ Greetings from Azerbaijan🤚 I love you so much❤️🤗 Thanks so much for useful videos🙏
I was studying in Germany in 2003, and read in a guidebook about the medieval walled town of Bad Wimpfen in the Heilbronn district of Baden Württemberg, not too far from Mannheim, where I was studying. So one Saturday in early December I went there with my friend. There was a Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market) that day, and all the medieval streets were lined with wooden booths and kiosks selling wonderful German crafts and gifts. It was a magical day, and I unexpectedly got all my Christmas shopping done in no time.
Thank you very much, Germany. You are so beautiful, and so special for me. I apreciate and I respect Germany, and I respect and I love german people: God bless Germany, and God bless german people! Your friend, Cristin Schmidt.
I remember the lovely trip I did to Germany and all that beautiful Towns, some made me feel as I was in a fairy tale. But one particulary I can't forget, It was a beautiful Summer sturday and I went to Rüdesheim, as a tourisric place It was crowded, but people were só happy that they were singing on the streets, It was contagious, even I try to follow the songs. We danced. It was like a dream coming true.
Thank you, i lived in Augsburg 25 years ago, and watching videos it seems the charm is gone from airport cities, so was searching for old fashioned Germany
I was born in Lübeck and left the city at the age of 24. Lovely town. Since 1994 I live in Lüneburg. Considerably smaller than Lübeck but equally beautiful. Both cities were economically tied in the middle ages. There were salt mines in Lüneburg and the ‚white gold‘ was shipped from Lübeck harbour to all over Europe.
We will be visiting Fehmarn, Lübeck and Lüneburg in mid-April. After that, Schwerin & Rostock, then down to Berlin. Any other towns along that route we should see?
@@byronwood7162Sorry, I‘m late, well its a great selection, I would recommend Warnemünde , a short trip to the sea from Rostock and worth a visit. Hope you enjoy your tour!
Between Hanover and the Ruhr Region is the location of East Westphalia, and in it you'll find the former principality of Lippe. A very rural county in the Teutoburg Forest with a few wonderful small cities such as the former capital Detmold, the old Hanseatic city of Lemgo, Blomberg, or the tiny but picturesque town of Schwalenberg. Lippe is not on everybody's list, but well worth a visit!
My dad was in the Air Force and we lived there for six years before we had to come back to the states. The day we left, me and my sister cried. Such a beautiful country.
Very nice list with a lot of lesser known cities! All too often, list like this tend to highlight just the major cities in a country - as if no one had heard of them. This was very different and from the ones I know, a very good list as well.
Marburg with its beautiful 13th century Elisabethkirche, Altstadt and Scloss lording it high up over the city. Gelnhausen east of Frankfurt witth its 12th century palace ruins, Altstadt, lovely church and no tourists! Limburg an der Lahn with a picturesque Atstadt topped by a beautiful 12th century cathedral.
Thank you so much for these suggestions. I’ve been to a lot of them but went to Luneburg on Monday this week and it is so worth a visit. ( Went from Hamburg for the day )
Bacharach is also a beautiful medieval town I would recommend to check out. Its situated along the Rhine river and has a castle as well as ruins of a monestary to explore. Wismar is also great for movie fans, the world's first horror movie Nosferatu was mostly filmed there.
Your videos are always so beautifully made & inspiring! Your soothing voice helps too🥰 To be quite honest, watching your channel motivated me to begin my solo travel journey since this past New Year's🤗. 3 trips in & planning on 1 more before 2022 is over. Thanks
Good Job. If you're going to make a Part 2, you probably should travel a bit more eastern. I missed some like Binz, Rostock, Stralsund, Greifswald, Rheinsberg, Angermünde, Neuruppin, Jüterbog, Rathenow, Oranienburg, Perleberg, Königs Wusterhausen, Lübben & Lübbenau ... Just to mention some of them 😉 Greetings from Berlin 😎
You should also check out Ulm. It's located at the river Donau and has many beautiful small streets. Its Cathedral "Ulmer Münster" is the church with the highest church tower in the world. You can climb up over 750 steps and enjoy a beautiful view over the town. Ulm is actually also not far from Blaubeuren 😉
some of the listed town are very, very much off the beaten track. Lübben and Lübbenau are just interesting as a starting point for the Spreewald - a rural area with many canals. Warnemünde as shown is part of Rostock. And Rathenow is dispensable - rather visit picturesque Tangermünde nearby - even combing it with the brick romanesque monastry of Jerichow and the hanseatic city of Stendal only a fiew kilometers apart each.
Hallo, thank you for showing the world that medieval towns existing not only in the south of Germany. And also showing the very different but also stunning architecture in the northern regions. I'm allways disapointed when these kind of videos just only shows the southern and southwestern regions, like the others doesn't exist there. Good Job.
I would like to recommend to visit Bernkastel-Kues, Bacharach, Heidelberg, Berchtesgaden, Saarburg, Landsberg am Lech, Bad Tölz, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Mittenwald, Füssen, Tangermünde, ... and the list goed on and on ...
Recently been to (Burg)Steinfurt, close to the Dutch border. Didnt even know it, just passed by on my way to Munster. Got out of the train on a whim and was amazed how low-key beautiful this town is. Amazing little castle on a small island in the river. Old town square with a beautiful town hall and houses in the iconic half-timbered style, one with a classic watermill. Lots of other things like a historic recreation park, the Bagno with more beautiful buildings and an idyllic lake. There are probably more well-known places, but that fame kind of ruins them in a way too, becasue you get the feeling you visit an "attraction" instead of a town. Nothing like that here. Hardly any tourists or commercial activity that ruined the scene and a very nice and quiet true village athmosphere. Highy recommend for about half a days worth of exploring.
The castle is still owned by the Princes of Bentheim and Steinfurt and is used as a residence by them. Take a look at the Wikipedia article, there is something there about possible visits. Very reduced access.
@@ageoflove1980 When you'll come back to this area I can suggest you Burg Bentheim. It's the same family who owns it. And it's better to visit. A fast train between Berlin/Amsterdam/Berlin has a stop there. The website is also informativ.

Great video but I suggest the author to add a slide in the beginning about where the town is located in the map. Of course listeners can always look it up but looking up 25 towns when you mention them would not be the best way to enjoy your video. Geographic location is the most important attribute of any town, and you can’t omit it and start showing the buildings and histories. That’s like talking about somebody without knowing who it is you are talking about.
what was about the f*cking plane? the order of the list was a bit confusing becauce it was geographically jumping back and forth. Some of the town are actually close to each other and could be easily combined on a trip. For example: Wittenberg, Quedlinburg, Wernigerode, Naumburg are very close to eachother. The same way you could group Celle, Lüneburg, Stade, Schwerin, Wismar and Warnemüde. Nördlingen, Rothenburg and Dinkelsbühl are also conected by one road, roughly 30 km from each other. when visitig Wartburg you should check out nearby Weimar and Erfurt as well.

Being from Germany's neighbour country Austria, which gets a lot more tourists per capita, especially FROM Germany, as a kid I always thought Germany cannot be as beautiful as Austria, or why would all the Germans come here? I also love Munich and Hamburg, but this is already quite far away for me to drive.
