I have to say, I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale and every year, spring break was like an invasion of ARMY ANTS and all the locals stay away from the beaches
I live on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. Traffic during Spring Break is horrible, and it does get crowded, but the city and the cops actually do a great job controlling the madness. We never see idiots vandalizing cars, out of control riots or shootings like Miami has the past few years.
You ain't lying. I approve. I use to stay there too.
It is anywhere in Florida. From Jacksonville to Key West or Panama City to Marco Island. Happens every winter, too.
A tourist city turning away the tourists in the busiest tourist season. Those kids will give their money to someone else, what could go wrong.
I used to live in Fort Myers and it was the same (not sure if that's been the case since Hurricane Ian).

in college you go to Spring Break in Florida, then you discover Mardi Gras, a few years later you discover Las Vegas , and it's game on
Then you discover the boy prostitutes of Thailand.
Then they discover your bloated corpse hidden underneath a dead donkey on the beach.
Then your son doesn't have a mature father figure to look up to, and the whole cycle starts over.
I went straight for las Vegas

In 1982 Fort Lauderdale was where I went for Spring Break! It was out of control then, but the businesses said they made 6 months income in about 2 weeks so it was worth it!
Back then we thought we were experiencing
