"the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" 🤦
beefalo anybody 🤔😂
Can't turn your back for a minute....like a bunch of toddlers. lol
The bison are just being sociable with the neighours, its summer!
Bison be naughty and smart; ranchers be frustrated but persistent. Colorado friend be helpful. Ranch Life!!❤
Every bison herd has to go on a mandatory end of spring start to summer field trip! I mean who are we to deny a tradition. 😂😂 Shout out to the lovely Marisa, adorable Brooks and new to the channel Colorado Mike! As always thank you Dusty for sharing all the bison shenanigans
This is one of those times when having a couple people on horses would be helpful. The day will come. Hang in there! Sometimes working with livestock can be extremely frustrating.
A cutting horse shouldn't be used with bison. They are WAY different than cattle. A bison would have no qualms charging and ramming a horse causing catastrophic damage.
That's down the road with yearling & coming !
Yep.. would have been ideal with Cora and Morgan. Add to that Msrissa in the atv.. makes so much sense doing it the old way with horses..
Boy when it comes to bison you really gotta be on your toes at all costs
I have decided that bison are like cats! Cat lovers know what I mean😂
Funny I Likened herding cattle to herding cats. Maybe not the same, but I knew what you meant.
🐈 Oh yes !
There better not be any Dunbar burgers.... I 💛❤ DUNBAR !!!!
Hope not too!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Don't nock it until you try a buffalo burger
@bradwbangerter863 pretty sure the sentiment was that Dunbar not go to freezer camp. Hopefully he is going to put that strong genetics into more of the meat herd!
Dusty said he was moving Dunbar over to the original place so he could keep him and Big Joe separated. He is moving some girls with him, hopefully one will be Eleanor, she needs somewhere less stressful with a smaller herd.
Glad to see you back with your family and the bison, dusty. I hope Dunbar isn't in too much trouble. He's my favorite. Actually I love all the bison.🦬🦬🦬🦬
Not sure about Bison, but when we used to have cattle get out and we tried to get them back in by opening a gate for them, they would run back to where they got out to try to get back in the Pasture. So we then knew where they got out at. (If we didn't already know).
Another great video….Never a dull moment in Bison ranching.
Hi Dusty, Marissa and Brooks. Brooks is so adorable and she loves the bison. Always the unexpected happens on the farm. Good thing you found them. Now to get them back. God bless and love yall ❤❤
What a frustrating situation 😜🤨😗!!!!! Hope you get all of the “runaways” back where they belong soon 🙏🙏🙏👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Bison " Spring Fling " is what you got there ! The personality of your 'core herd' has changed with all those 'red dogs ' ! Bison have been around on this land for a really long time, and to survive they had to develop 'tricks of the trade which helped them to survive'. Those tricks are still in their DNA ; that said , bison ranchers are still in the learning curve of their chosen trade. You have a lot more days like this one coming. Stay on your toes, 'n' don't let the challenges frustrate you. Look at Ms. Brooke; she is still having fun with all the learning she is going through ! "SURVIVAL " is a state of mind over the myriad of challenges ! ENJOY THE LEARNING OPPERTUNITIES, but do not forget 'em ! ( i know, easy for me to say ... but i am 80 years old...)
Well said Miss Sally!
How frustrating trying to get those bison back in your pasture. Good luck guys!
Like herding cats.
I love your call for the bison! Wwooo! Its cute! Love the videos! Brooks is growing like a weed! Keep em coming!
Just seeing this, "Omg, what have they done now?" 😅😅✌
Wow what an absolute nightmare Dusty, the bison obviously think that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, hopefully you get them all back without any issues, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
I hope your neighbors don't mind their grasses getting chomped on.
It goes back and forth because the cows have gotten out onto the Ponderosa too. This is life on a Ranch.
I hope your able to get all the bison back onto your property. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️🚜.
Love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the bison and the other animals
Amen
You should record the bag sound on your phone. Then you have the bag sound with you everywhere. No trips to find a bag. Lollol
They have a mind of their own for sure. God’s blessings
You &your family are true American family ❤God bless 🙌 😊❤❤❤❤❤
I think when you cut that fence maybe you should have made the ones on that side already to follow you way away from the ones you were calling so they wasn’t confused with shaking the bag and calling. They were too close and thats why they snuck back in real fast. Just stay safe.
Prayers for you all! God bless!
Reminds me of wen I stand by my back door calling in the kitties n they just stand there looking at me shaking there treats looking like I’m stupid lol xxxx
Im sorry for all the chaos at the ranch. Thank you Gerber Life for sponsoring Ctoss Timber Bison ,thank you Rusty for their information !
You should see if you can alarm the fencing in some way, then if they break one you get an alert & can round them up quickly
That little dog is precious.
Hoss is trying to establish his own herd!
Great video DUSTY and Mike. Hope you were able to get the rest of the bisons all together again. Hang tough. David B.,Utah. 🐕🐕❤❤❤.
Good day to all.
Hey Morgan 🐴🥰
Rotro, leave it to Hoss, he wants his own herd🦬😊💜
Look at that Meda😅 can hardly see Bulliut 😅
Hey Mike😊
Hey Brooks and Marisa 🌸💜
You made me dizzy 😂, not to mention Nervous Dusty! Jeepers!🙏🦬💜
They're stubborn Girls today! Hope it doesn't happen often!😮 Definitely Restless! Hopefully you get them in soon! Keep Bison Ranchin Dusty 🙏🦬💜🌸
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏GOD Bless KEEP UP the AWESOME Work THANK you for all you do to Preserve Our countries Bison
Maybe you should keep a couple of the flag sticks they're used to in the ATV for when you need to move/direct them.
Need the ATV, sounds of the cube bag and your drone to find them. 😊 Maybe get the drone to broadcast the sound of the cube bag.
Bison are pretty smart! You'll get 'em Dusty cuz most of them love you! Colorado is a great friend and helper! God bless you you all and your beautiful, playful, stubborn Bison 🥰🥰🥰🦬🦬🦬
I respect the job you do for your family but also for the bison. Many of us have become quite attached to Dunbar, Eleanor, and so many of his group ladies. You understand the necessary changes to make on your land to keep areas resting.
Dunbar and a select group of ladies going to OG before rut so Dunbar and Big Joe don't have a chance to touch nodes and fight again.
It made me happy when you included your daughters name in the help list🙂
Drone footage is ACE !!!!! ❤❤
Dusty will there be a part 2 to this video. It would be great to see what solution you and Colorado Mike came up with. Maybe you will move the half on your property to another area so you don’t have to worry about them going thru. I’ll keep an eye out for a second part.
Y’all have a wonderful week and keep on Bison Ranching! 😊
Start shaking a cowbell when you give them cubes. It'll help train them to come if this happens again.
The drone footage you do is so awesome. Loved watching them run and play.....
You seem to me to be a smart hard working, fella. Learning the herd behavior to better serve them what they need to be happy. My hat is off to you, living a dream obviously. Sure have a beautiful spot! Be Safe!
I love morgan she is beautiful! ❤😊❤ ! Hoss just wants his own ladies and not around Dunbar or Big Joe!
It is always a treat when animals get through a fence! We have Angus, cane imagine Bison.
You have a great Big Job wishing you luck 🙏
It's never a dull moment with Bison Ranching! Keep up the great work!🐂
Dusty That is so TRUE there !!! But remember Life Insurance for her it will be cheaper at this age for her to get it !!! I started at age O for my son !!! He is 47 yrs old now !!! Get the thought & do it for her it will help on out go for the GOLD for her for the later years will help her out in the long run or you !!! Will be back !!!
I love all of your videos ❤❤
I like watching your video Dusty
Looks a bit like herding cats!!!
I’d be so frustrated.
Hope your neighbor is cool 😊❤
I don't use the investment fund you do. There are many but it is a perfect way to help your kids, grandkids, with college or whatever they choose to do. 529 plans are wonderful. There are a few that are specific to the state you live in.
Could it be possible that Hoss is trying to make his own herd, or his own “harem”?
Moo Cows in Heat? With all the Female Bison with babies or expecting their baby maybe the Bull Bison are looking elsewhere.
Bullet the bison tracker! 😂
Ladies are getting a little sassy. Acting like they are out of practice responding to the feed bag.
Thank you Dusty and neighbor for the update on how things are going there in Oklahoma !
What a neat picture of mamas with babies! Looks as if rain is coming there or came. Brooks is growing up.. getting taller. They went to visit the neighbors, to catch up on the bovine gossip. What a neat treat feeder… I remember you were looking for one.. more safer…
Are there tags, like Air tags, that you could attach to some of the herd?
Attach them where?
@@regenesteffen2814 To their ears like their number tags. Just wondering if it could be done.
I must have missed something, why is Dunbar going back to the original ranch??
Idk I'm right there with you 🤔
Thanks, ranching now. ✌🏻👊🏼
Sorry to see Dunbar leave.
Be Safe and looking forward to the next video. All the best.
Can’t wait to see the end of this adventure. Thanks. Stay safe.
Never a dull moment in bison ranching.... Great video !
Bison ate so smart in escaping. Blessings 🙏🫶🙏🫶
Just love watching...
These bison are much larger in person then they look like on screen
Wow! Yes ranching ain’t easy. Y’all stay safe and get that other half home.
Well…….Happy Trails after you get this situation straightened out!!! 👍👍👍
Loved how the herd reacts. ❤❤❤❤
I love the bison and they keep you on your toes! I love Dunbar is going to have his own herd? ❤🦬
I wonder if there could be a possibility to herd with drones? 3, 4 drones with noisemakers at say 20'? Fly beyond them at altitude, then drop, activate noise, and herd them back?
Hang in there. Maybe you need extra help to get them back. Love and prayers for y'all..... from Donna in Florida
HOSS is breaking out his own herd of ladies. Maybe they are looking for Dunbar.
4:50 Must be awful not to be able to see above the grasses. Poor baby. I'd be afraid an eagle would get her.
GO get 'em!!
Thank you for the post! ✌🏼😊 We took out Gerber life insurance for our children at birth.
❤😊❤ awesome job!
Good luck Dusty. They will sure try your patience!👍❤️
Impressive! Maybe they follow their instinct to move pasture after a while even grass is still available..
That’s very practical!
Migrating is in their genes, so they don't even have to think about it.
That auto feeder, makes a sound, reminds me of Robo cop. Lololo
Watching the "Great Bison Roundup" reminded me of a question I heard asked. Someone called a radio station where I live to ask the only bison farmer around how do you keep a 🦬 in the field when it wants to get out? The answer you don't. A bison will go where a bison wants to go until it's ready to go home. Got a chuckle out the roundup even though I know it wasn't funny for you. 😅
Exciting to watch!!! Sorry you’re having trouble!!
Uncooperative bison and so smart, but persistent rancher. Tough job. Colorado friend so helpful.
You left us with a cliff hanger. Dunbar is going to the OG and what happened with the bison coming back to the Ponderosa???
Those darn kids..lol..
Dusty they just wanted to meet the neighbors lol
On this coming Friday, I start a trip out west with one of the highlights being Custer State Park
Good luck getting back home.
What an awesome video. I really enjoyed the drone footage. Sending love from Way over here in Oregon.
That had to be incredibly frustrating! When I first started watching you I wondered how on earth you could control animals that big & powerful, I can't even imagine. I love seeing that different aspects of the ranch & how you deal with troubles that arise. I grew up around lots of farms & I thought the cows & bulls were a challenge! ❤
Boy do you need a good border collie?
Release the hound...the dachshund! 😆🤠
Hahaha
I see you got brooks back after your sister and brother in law took her. I saw that they were spoiling her.
Dang I was sitting on pins and needles watching this. I know it has be very frustrating trying to get them all back. You definitely have to stay on your toes for safety reasons.
In the 70s my Dad had a sick cow to Desiper , way before technology LOL
Thanks Guys
I totally enjoy your problem solving episodes. I understand it was frustrating. I can’t wait to see the outcome. Btw, could the sound of an empty bag of cubes be differentiated from a bag of cubes? With all that lush forage are cubes interesting? Thank you for your dedication to this noble animal!
