The gun update was amazing, I immediately reinstall the game and get all the weapon! One thing I want them to add in the future is suppressor, would be great for stealth gameplay.
imo i dont think suppressors are a good idea as i would essentually make things like bows and crssbows useless

If they added durability on the suppressor like metal gear solid. Would work both ways.
@@zackstrife5189 this would be nice! Or maybe we could make a suppressor that can be obtained from wreckage like oil filter as suppressor just like days gone.

I finished this game like a month ago and they now added guns...Also I am surprised they still add new story bits!
And there are a few changes to the cutscenes in the main story.
Wing glider parachute thing is actually crazy.

I love having guns I just wish the chapter wasn't hard to level up
I hope Techland will improve on these thing as well like Lighting(Even better improvement), More locations to be added, Flashlight fixes, Sfx improvement(Especially dismemberment), Physics improvement, Environment dynamic like dynamic sky and infected moving locations, Blood improvement as well

Btw theres a way to tell between convoys which has pistole and smg ammo and which has rifle and shotgun ammo abandoned convoys pistole and smg and military convoys have rilfe and shotgun smmo
When I had to go into the GRE Quarantine’s I spent like 10 minutes just using the camo paste to hide from the Volatiles, it’s still terrifying, but fun

If anything that's one of the things I really liked about dying light one was after the game's been out for a bit and they released more DLC for like $3 a pop you got a bunch of really good guns like shotguns rifles guns at the electrical damage knives that did a fire damage just built in already it was great sure they were broken but like that's kind of what made the game fun in my opinion
I need to play this again. I stopped once I got to the skyscraper area. Not sure why, but it was fun at release
Just tried this quest 3 times. First time, I finished getting the meds, then it lied and said I went out of the mission area while on my way to the 2nd area. The 2nd time, I almost finished the cherry on top crystals area. I hit a zombie and the game just froze and it wouldn't respond to any commands at all. I had to use task manager to force the game to close and redo it all again. The 3rd time, I had just finished getting the crystals in the 2nd mission area. Within seconds, it said I was out of the mission area. I think it probably thought I needed to immediately go from the 2nd mission area to the last one. I'm done. I may revisit this when they patch it later.
If any of yall find the missions to get guns too grindy: play the game offline, activate the defeat 3 demolishes and complete 10 survivor missions. Gre anamolies for some reason count as survivor missionz, so look for a repeatable gre anamoly that has a demolisher, then just repeat over and over. Once you've done the 2 missions I mentioned you get +600rp. Then, change the tine on your console 8 days forward(you don't have to restart the game), and jai will have missions reset. Rinse and repeat.
I played it for the first time on free weekend recently and loved it, too many things to do and 4 days free weekend really went fast. might pick up when 70%+ discount 😊

I wonder why the game didn't have guns in the first place. At least have some homemade pipe guns like in FO4 or scavenged guns like in Metro, and there could be ammo smiths that not only make regular rounds but special ones like fire, explosive, and armor piercing

In the lore, the government took away all the guns from the citizens, used up most of them and hid whatever little amount was left to recover later but the world ended. There was also already one makeshift gun in the game before this update
The game did have guns, not the traditional ones, but stuff like the boomstick existed which you could craft as a makeshift shotgun
@@comfyphoenix but why would the government take away guns in a zombie apocalypse that makes no sense. People aren't allowed to defend themselves against zombies.
@@jokerm5035because the government is missed up and wants to stay in power in a apocalyptic world. They don’t care you can’t defend yourself because “they will protect you” and plus there is factions

They can break but you can repair it in shop.

Am on ps5 and love the game the problem the down sight comand doesnt work for me it just does the survivor sense
Edit: also the survivor gathering quest of th ñe white boards stunlock/softlocks you even if you finished the mission
The convoys dont have guns it had ammo in the crates

yes provided that you are willing to grind or cheat said grind then i see it possible. I've seen comments where players have defeated the final boss with ease using guns.

You don't need to go to the metro to fast travel.
Adding guns just completely destroy's their whole argument for taking them away.

Nah, they were all taken away and stored away by the military so technically they were just sitting in storage. The guns aren't going to magically disintegrate over time, eventually someone would have access to them. Guns were in the first game so it makes sense that they are in the second one.
@@theducker7158 Nah, how about we understand that it makes sense since the first game had guns. Since dying light 2 first released, there are always talk about the guns being taken away and put somewhere by the military, this add-on simply allows your character to find out where they were stored and have access to them. Not sure why that's so hard for people to understand.
@guitarsandcars2586 I'm not complaining about guns being in the game, lol. But the entire reason that's guns are in the game is because other people complained about them not being in the game and now that their in the game people are complaining.

yeah? that was one of the biggest issues ppl had with the game
There was a gun tied to a stick and it was used to pistol-whip zombies. Bows and crossbows were the main ranged weapons next to throwable items.

They were trying to go for the realistic" ran out of bullets narrative ,after years of an apocalypse".
@@arkhamknight6371 and somehow metro series has guns with ammunition despite it being set 20 years after a fuckin nuclear apocalypse with literal demons roaming the world
They carry on improving this game, hopefully we'll get a third game or another dlc at some point!
I'm hoping they will focus on small details like flashlight, lighting, dynamic environment, sfx improvement, physics to be better.
So much great updates i just hope they change ng+ having everything being lvl 9 and 2 shot you even on easy is crazy😂

Didn’t they add guns to dying light 2 light months ago? Maybe even last year?
they had a little sidearm called the boomstick but it works like a tool, similar to the grappling hook. so not quite a gun that you can equip like a regular weapon
When they make dying light 3, i think it should be set not too far in the future. Maybe they should set it around the same time as dying light 1.

They shouldn't have added guns just because people begged and whined for them. The game world was not made with guns in mind Techlands whole argument for not wanting them is just completely ignored and forgotten about now

They removed the guns in DL2 because people complained the guns in DL1 were too OP, but the community has alot of hypocrites so for some reason they wanted them back

The First DL is still better and has a much more Fair Price.
Especially becouse the Amount of content that the First Game Has.
And every other gun is locked behing annoying and grindy ass challenges🤡
The update is crao tbh, nothing is balanced, enimies are way to tough, missions dot let you loot zombies or areas and dont give back expended resources meaning they just drain you.
Everything is inconsistent, sometimes glitcing againts you often, such as dodging zombies, inturupting zombies, and shoving zombies, all for normal virals and infected mind you.
And vendors still only sell handfuls of scraps at a time, you have to grind imposible missions that are difficult in base mode on a team to get ammo, when of course your going to want to shoot a ton, and then on top of all that they give you limited lives, in a dark night time level, on a limited map that kills you if you go pitside the mission area (and count it againts you) while asking you to re-emberse your immunity at the same time as not letting you go to most blue-zones nor collect blue mushrooms.
And yet after ALL that the narrotive is "they added guns, gamers will never be satsfied" DUDE THATS BECAUSE THE GAME IS UNBALANCED AND PUT GUNS BEHIND THE WORSR FEATURES!!!
It added guns but seems like they keep taking all the ZOMBIES OUT THE GAME!!! I can only find like 4 zombie roaming the street now. Night time use to be scary and fun now it’s a boring walk with a 5 crack heads slowly chasing you now. lol
They should make an easy mode for all the players crying that a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE GAME SHOULDNT HAVE ZOMBIES IN IT!! Or that’s it’s to hard to parkour lol. These new ducking light players are annoying

Too bad the game is just dead dogshit in comparison to the first game, which was actually good. DL2 was the biggest disappointment, the fact they've had to go back on their own words (we don't want guns) and overhaul THE ENTIRE GAME just to start trying to get people interested, shows how bad it was, and how bad it still is. It's not worth the money even on sale, shit it's not worth it even if it was free.
