Whistle is my favorite b-side if that album and co 2ed fav overall b-side with Poison Love. They performed it during their Midnight Halloween Circus concert with Choreo- chairs. The JiU-Siyeon-SuA to Dami rap section is probably my favorite part of the song. A Heart of Sunflower is in my top 5 ballads. The story behind AllDayLong is very heart warming… JiYoo for the world! BEcause- spooky summer Airplane- the expected summer song vide Whistle- wanting summer beach nights with starry skies back. EDM/ Electic House bop AllDayLong- chil City Pop vibe of just wanting to be with someone. A Heart of Sumflower- vulnerable break up song that is also of perseverance. I love DC lower ranger/register just like I love DC soft, vulnerable, airy/breathy vocals. The dynamics.. for example Siyeon’s airy/soft vulnerable gets me just as much as those power high notes/belts.
A few things: The Primavera Sound performance of Airplane is really fun😁 Whistle. Has. Choreo. A Heart of Sunflower rips my heart out every time, but I love it 😭
The only safe assumptions about a Dreamcatcher album are: 1. No matter how different it is from the previous albums, it will still be very Dreamcatcher 2. Whatever you expect will be subverted 3. What I've also read is that the last word of Yoohyeon's final line on A Heart of Sunflower comes before what was supposed to be the "joa" of previous lines, translated as "it's ok". I can interpret that as them finally accepting that what they are hoping for (for the other person to come back) is not going to happen, so not clinging to that anymore makes them lose that comformity with their current situation to fully embrace the sadness of the breakup.
I always go back and forth between this album and apocalypse save us for being my favorite dreamcatcher album I love love looove a heart of sunflower so much, it might be my favorite kpop song! Its between it and another song called Universe_ by ONEWE. It just hit so close to home, I related to the lyrics so much and that absolutely destroyed me and I loved that so much LOL If there was one dreamcatcher song I'd want to see live its this one for sure! The last line from Yoohyeon is just like the most PAINFUL thing AAHH Alsoo there's this one part its at 56:57 Yoohyeon's part there has made me cry WITHOUT FAIL every time i watched a live performance of it, she puts so much emotion into it when she goes from that falsetto into belting it's so heartbreaking but I cant help but replay it over and over again
Airplane is so underrated. To me it's the perfect blend of summer pop and Dreamcatcher's style of music. it's bright but not too bright, it's funky and also fun. Also the way Dami's rap perfectly captured the feel of the song is so good✨
My interpretation of the songs in the Summer Holiday album is that they showcase different types of love between people Intro - Crush BEcause - Obsessive Airplane - Summer Whistle - Longing Alldaylong - Comfort Heart of a Sunflower - One-sided/Jealousy Funny seeing how you feel like crying at the lyrics being so cute without knowing that JiU was inspired by Yoohyeon's back hug that comforted her when she was having a bad day. JiU is such a romantic 😭❤

The first one to have one of their compositions on a Dreamcatcher album was Siyeon (with Paradise), but that was a solo song (and it was first released as a solo single). The first one to compose a Dreamcatcher track was JiU with Dear. So JiU was indeed first, but not with All Day Long.
my fav interpretation of this album is one that portrays BEcause as its own standalone thing while the other 4 tracks represent ... well ... a summer holiday! lol a 2 day 2 night holiday specifically, because that's the vibe I get from the songs Airplane: arrival at the island at noon Whistle: first night at the island at a rave near the beach! Alldaylong: break of dawn of the second day (or alternatively the sunset!) Heart of sunflower: the last night at the island after which we'll have to say goodbye and leave it
Even though i've listened to A Heart of Sunflower a thousand times, it never fails to make me cry. A grown ass man, crying over 7 women telling me "It's okay if you don't love me anymore, but in the dase you wanna return, there's still someone waiting for you." FUDGE.
It's best to be OT7, with a rotating lean. Right now my lean is to HanDong, cuz she has been ruthless this past year. Can't wait for you to get to HanDong's Chinese Medley which includes Jazz Bar and Heart of Sunflower (and others).
