DPP could have put back more Chinese history coverage that's true, but during KMT days, we were only given less than half semester of TW geography and history and less than a year of world history and geography during 3-year of middle school. DPP could have put back more Chinese history coverage that's true, but during KMT days, we were only given less than half semester of TW geography and history and less than a year of world history and geography during 3-year of middle school. China is indeed big and important to TW, but it's only less than 20% of the world in all aspects. Forget about the 5000 year Chinese history claim. Up to now only 3800 years with track record and most early days not even significant, compared to those in Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilization. Students need to know the whole picture how civilization evolved and only deep dive into individual topics when interested.
