Excellent instructions - clear, concise, easy to follow. My Bind-it-All has had minimal usage but now I'm faced with a project that requires PERFECT binding. With your video tutorial, I feel confident I can do it. :-) Thank you very much.
Great video. I haven't used it in years and you helped me to complete a project with ease. THANKS FOR GOING SLOWLY TOO. It's nice to follow instructions when someone isn't talking fast. Thanks again.
Great video Dan! I've not used my bind-it-all for about 5 years and had completely forgotten how to use it. This video was exactly what I needed, so I'm glad it's still here 9 years after you published it.
Thank you so much for this video! Every other video shows how to use it, but they don't cover specifics like you did with the wire (what direction to put it in and how to position it in the Bind It All when you close the wires). This was a huge help!
This was so clearly explained - thank you for making this. I couldn't figure mine out and threw it in a drawer years ago. Now I'd like to get my supplies and bind-it-all back out and give it a go.
Lovely clear instructions and you explain about wire sizes which none of the American ones I've watched do. Glad I have discovered you, now to find more of your videos.
So clear and easy to follow. I liked your tip on making the template. I always forget which end goes throughout the pages and this showed the answer clearly. Thanks for your help.
I didn't know what a bind it all was at first and I thought that it was going to be something extremely complicated, but you are clear, concise and informative in your video, thanks so much!
I have watched a few of these tutorials and yours is the only one that was clear and easy to follow! Thank you for saving me so much time and headache!
Perfect demo - very easy to understand and to follow - thank you for posting this video. This is the best I've seen and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you.
Thank you for doing this tutorial, I have been wanting to get a bind it all but was not sure how it really worked, you made it look so simple. Off to the craft sore I go
Great video! Other videos I've watched about Bind-It-All are way too confusing! Thanks for sharing this video. I might just have to get a Bind-It-All now-thanks to your video!
how i wish I had watched this before I used my machine the first time!! What was I thinking????? Would have saved me so much time. Thanks so much. Now I get it.
Great vid Dan ...... Nice clear easy instructions. I follow you on UKS and love how you take the time to explain things properly! Carry on the good work,, us crafters need people like you lol XX
hey! I didn't know you had youtube videos it's nice to put a voice to the blog lol I love your free SVG files, I'm off work sick so I can't afford to buy any now but I love your work it's fantastic :)
Hi Dan, I been searching for an hour to find a video tutorial to explain how to punch more than 6 holes. your's is deffo the best one. thank u so much ((-:
Thank you for this video, what I've seen so far this is a very good video on how to use this machine. Is wonderful machine though, I'm working on a project and I'm just dying to have one of this. Thanks for sharing :)
Also, the lines are extremely confusing. Are the guides supposed to line up with corresponding lines in the owire binding closing channel? And why don't the lines go straight across, but instead the front middle lines (have the measurements 5/16, 3/8 etc..), but lines are curved on each side. I don't understand.
Hello, I know this thread is old. However, I have a few questions. Please answer. I have the Binditall v2. How are the owire guides supposed to be placed inside the owire binding closing channel? When I tried to place the guides, the lines corresponding to the measurements, did NOT line up for several of the guides. Could the measurements and/or lines inside the owire binding closing channel, be misaligned. Therefore the measurements are inaccurate? Please advise. Thank you.
That's a tricky one - 7cm is an awkward size and you'll have to be very precise not to catch part of a hole on one of the edges. I'd suggest cutting a piece of scrap card to the same size as your page and draw a line at 3.5cm, down the centre of the card. Place that in your bind-it-all, with the line going through the middle of one of the hole markers on the top of the machine and punch. If the holes are correctly positioned, place your template on top of your pages and punch them in the same way. If the holes AREN'T exactly centred, you'll know how much to adjust when you punch the real pages. I hope that helps. I actually cut a scrap to 7cm myself and went to try it, only to find that my bind-it-all is playing hide and seek!
It was a 12" strip of cardstock, around 3" tall. Really, it doesn't matter what size you make it as long as it's wider than your project (so you can be sure you're not cutting any 1/2 holes at either end) and pokes above the machine when you put it in to punch.
Here 16 years later… thank you so much for making this video! It has been so helpful.

I'd like to punch these square notches into old hardbound book covers...will this work for such thicknesses/hardness.? Thx
I would have liked to see a 11 x 8 - 1/2 page punched!
The pitch on this is a 2:1 2 holes per inch
Do you know how to make your own Owires? I can't buy the size and colour I want, but I've got a fair bit of wire. Can you help?
GREAT VIDEO. TFS!!!!
Well explained
I've just bought a second hand Zutter Bind it All.

extremely helpful! TFS!!!
Hi! How do I punch only 3 holes in a 6" page centrally?
I'm afraid I can't think of a way you can do that with the Bind-it-all. I don't think it's possible, but if someone else knows better, let us know!
Ok, thanks!
dan99stamper you would have to use a crop-a-file or big bite punch for that few# of holes :)
Crop a dile?
What was size was the white page template?
It was a 12" strip of cardstock, around 3" tall. Really, it doesn't matter what size you make it as long as it's wider than your project (so you can be sure you're not cutting any 1/2 holes at either end) and pokes above the machine when you put it in to punch.
dan99stamper Thank you! :)
