This is a remake of an even older movie called < Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World > (1963) a huge ensemble cast of stars including Jerry Lewis
One of the best American comedies ever. Without a doubt.
@@reservoirdude92 The plot of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World might have been the more solid of the two in narrative but the gags in Rat Race are so well-written and performed. Both movies are worthy of multiple viewings.
Fun fact: Those are not John Cleese's real teeth. He put them in without anybody knowing each day and nobody questioned it until about halfway through shooting. He thought it made the character more eccentric and over the top.

think the hardest laugh I got here was the part with the dad trying to explain what happened in front of all the WWII veterans... that and also the part immediately following where Mr. No Personality meets up with that escort in the hotel room xD

1963's "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" is another race for the money. Major stars of the day plus many famous cameos. Very big movie in its time.
Rat Race is loosely based on It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Definitely worth watching, though you may not catch all the cameos in it.
