Movies are such an amazing blend of so many different art forms. From the writing of the book, to screenplay adaption, to cinematography, to set design, to character design, to visual effects, to acting, to writing the music, musical performance, and so on. So many skilled, talented people have to come together to create a movie like this.
Everyone bashing the hobbit needs to pull back a bit. Peter Jackson wasn't allowed to make those films because he "HAD" to sue New Line Cinema who was not paying out a lot of contracts they agreed to pay. New Line said and i quote "We will never hire Peter again" But a year later the hobbit director Guillermo del Toro left because the project because it couldn't get a green light (Mind you two years of pre production from locations, costumes, effects, props, and the screen play were all done and ready to go. Desperate for a director who could handle the work load New Line begged Peter to take the helm as he was the ONLY director who could handle this project. The hobbit was Del Toro's project not PJ, and Jackson has said many time i would have made the movies differently if they had given them to me. But instead he had to use what Toro had already spent two years putting together. Mind you i really dislike the hobbit films, but PJ tried his best to salvage it, no need to bash him and his crew in.
Dude, what are you even talking about? PJ was involved since DAY ONE and worked with del Toro as one of the screenwriters for the entire film series from the get-go. It was even PJs push to make it a trilogy. There had been no filming done up until del Toro left (del Toro left because there was so much delay and continuous re-writing and no filming had yet started). Everything written and filmed began and ended with PJ. There was no handover or salvaging something that he was involved in creating from the very first day. I would MUCH rather have seen del Toro's version.

None of the video essays or critiques and similar stuff I've seen ever bash PJ. GdT could've made a wonderful series of movies for all we know, but the studio fucks it up at every turn, and everyone who's worth listening to seems to realize that.

This is my favorite scene in any movie. I remember seeing this in concert, I knew Gandalf would come back, but I can't help but crying when he falls. The emotions are just too real. Thanks for uploading this.
I'm going in September to The Lord of the Rings in Concert in the Netherlands. Watching this already gave me tear. I can't wait to see this live. I think live this will be so much more spectacular.
When Aragorn and Frodo jumped over the falling staircase to ''safety'' a triumphant melody is being played, immediately you know what's coming: the most intense moment of the whole sequence. At 4:10 the intensity starts rising exponencially once again from silence, you know that Gandalf is going to have to face this demon all by himself. The entire orchestra is playing at maximum power; the strings, the percussion, the brass instruments are going all out and the chanting elevates the moment even further for the final showdown. The epicness is beyond belief. Impossible not to get teary, especially when the lady starts singing at around 6:42. The emotional rollercoaster is too much to handle if you are fully invested and the body gives in. This experience live must be simply undescribable.
This trilogy and its music has been my life since I can remember. I don't say this lightly, but without it I probably wouldn't be alive today. Absolutely changed my life.
The child of two missionaries grows up to learn what war and industry can do to a country's people and land from the perspective of a soldier, and then raises a family and tells a story that has stood the hardest test that any story has ever been put to; the test of time. And then this collection of wonderful people come together just to remember it live in concert. I've always loved this story since I first read and watched it as a child, this was simply amazing! God bless.
I've seen this movie, specifically Fellowship, 50ish times by now. It's impossible for me to get to this scene and not rewind at least a few times during the part of this girl's solo!! Her voice, even if there were no context behind it, is enough to make my eyes water up.
Movie (and my favorite of all time at that) WITH Live Symphony?! 😯 How did I not ever know this was even a thing that existed until now??? 🤯 I usually never use this phrase but literally just take all my money. Seriously though how often do they do this and how can I get a ticket? P.S. and that girl???? THAT BEAUTIFUL girl with the voice of an absolute ANGEL?! My goodness!!! I’m awe-struck. I mean what can I say? I’m left completely speechless by her haunting yet angelic voice that pierces right through my very soul. Wow what an absolute gift she has. And I love the emotion she not only conveys through her voice, but also just the look on her face while she’s singing really drives it home even more...the sense of despair...and you can really tell she is feeling the music and connecting to the story as she sings and just really letting that empathy and sympathy for the characters guide her voice so that the audience can therefore also feel it and relate to it even more strongly that way and it makes it hit that much harder when you see the expression she has on her face while singing. She must not be a stranger to the loss of a loved one (or ones) if I had to guess, just based off this performance/video. Incredible. Absolutely brilliant and magnificent and beautiful. Great, very great job to all involved and thanks to the uploader of the video as well!
I’m 33 years old and watch trilogy twice a year as I can miss it while I’m eating or walking, so I watch them, but, will feel incompetent to tell to anyone that this what I do, coz someone may not understand and they mock and laugh,…. (Experienced truth) Let it be my love secret for the rest of my life to watch them every year …. ❤ Just to add on : it’s the same with first 3 part of the Pirates of the Caribbean ❤😊
The whole staircase scene would've seemed really goofy and pointless were it not for the music. The chanting and the intensity and everything about it just amplified the tension a millionfold, making the entire scene that much more epic and amazing. The soundtrack to these movies were brilliant, but this scene's score was perfection.
I think it’s because of how intense the dwarven chanting is! The “HILVAAA HILVAAAA” as I remember the dwarves are chanting the demon comes fire fire shadow and flame and stuff like that at this point
Words can't describe this and would make me look ignorant and clumsy if I tried. Thank you for posting this clip and the others. Very special moment in time.
Never have I felt sorrow so deeply than when I saw the look on Frodo’s face and heard her singing , together it made me cry like I was there too. Very emotional scene!!!
Watched this in Florence a few years ago. It was outstanding. The male chorus at 1:23 and 3:13 was really strong! You don't pay attention to that when you watch the movie on tv.
It’s such a rare instance where movies have this level of quality. From the story, the perfect casting, perfect design, perfect soundtrack, perfect cinematography. Where everything just falls together perfectly. I love these movies. I wait decades for movies like this to come out. That isn’t watered down and pandered for the masses, a movie that stays true to its art and I can fall in love with it for what it is. Gladiator, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars.... these kinds of movies are so far and few between, but such a blessing when they come out.
Simply beautiful! There's no other way to describe it. It's one of my favorite scenes from the entire trilogy, it's always a huge mix of emotions and with the live orchestra it feels even more. The best story forever ❤️

Also the walk of the Balrog as they run away - I saw this live at the Royal Albert hall this year, was an outer body experience must be said aha
Literally crying
I thought ANGELS DOESN'T exist I was wrong WOW!!! 6:35
They live on the moon of Iego I think
I'll always think of my grandmother when I hear that solo. The angels are calling her into heaven
Carl Mahape
Hope you're doing well, man.
That choir had me ready for battle....... AWESOME
Did anyone notice that Asian kid near the woman in the red dress wipe his tear
He thought gandalf died
And can you blame him?? That angelical voice can give you the feels man.... THE FEELS!!
darthvader0219 7:18 for you folks
not only him. This 1 step higher also had tear
I cried a river always when I hear this!!! And I hear this maybe fifty times
If I could be there, I would cry an ocean!!!
Holy crap, I was here, in this exact concert, I almost cried during the female solo.
the best epic song in the history of the humanity on a movie
Erick Maneiro this score isn’t epic at all. It’s supposed to reflect the amount of despair the Fellowship is feeling.
Rowen Starchild imagine what shit will Amazon do with this tolerance stuff and today’s trends, when people don’t care about quality of the project but about money and how to be polite with these “minorities”. I’m so scared about LoTR now, damn.
4:58 , the fellowship has witnessed probably the most important and unbelievable key moment in the third age.
Essentially two gods fighting. This is exactly what Gandalf was worried about Frodo experiencing. This to the hobbits after only leaving the shire months ago ( in the film ) see this. What the world really is.
Kaitlyn Lusk voice is overwhelming !!!, beautiful voice!.
Simply the best movie made!
the greatest one
Perhaps no the single Movie but I would defend it to be the Greates Trilogy ever made.
i wish the vocals went longer
Think thats part what makes it so good.
Me too.
Movies are such an amazing blend of so many different art forms. From the writing of the book, to screenplay adaption, to cinematography, to set design, to character design, to visual effects, to acting, to writing the music, musical performance, and so on. So many skilled, talented people have to come together to create a movie like this.
YES! You exactly explained why I love film so much.
I just want play this in every lotr actor's funeral
I've even made a list for every LOTR actor if they leave this world.
@@combineadvisorwithinternet6040 can you write it in there?
@@combineadvisorwithinternet6040 write it please if you can :)
Great Goblin of Goblin Town could you please write it here?
Christoper Lee has already left us unfortunately
I know this is just a movie, but for me this is so much more. Best trilogy of all time
Everyone bashing the hobbit needs to pull back a bit.

@@jenniferchough You have no clue what your talking about. Do us all favor and go to your homework. You know nothing about the pre-production problems had. And if you don't know who the orginal director was, that tells me everything i need to know about you. Your just full of hot air and no facts.
@@jenniferchough Research before making a fool of yourself on the Internet... Del Toro was supposed to be the director of The Hobbit trilogy, not the screenwriter, although he did add some inputs to the script, like Tauriel's character... He left the project, just few weeks before the filming began and all the pre-production work was already done....
Смотреть свой самый любимый фильм под живую музыку - это просто запредельная мечта
Kaitlyn Lusk is just exceptional here. Her voice brings tears to my eyes. Bravo :)
Dude, she could sing me to sleep.
My favorite part hands down is the chanting 1:32

Actually if that is the extended version, the nets would love it! U know, cause they like it super s l o w!
Touché
Ratul Majumder Damn you and your beautiful logic. Well played.
i’ve watched this video since i was 12, 11 years later i watch it weekly. i love this video so much.
her voice is just.... amazing. Thank you
The minute the woman sings, i begin to cry, its so powerful. Love it.
Goblins and Fellowship are both like "who are those guys making the music?" XD
"Dunno, I like it though. Let's not shoot 'em"
Warren Lloyd I can see that happening 😂
This is my favorite scene in any movie. I remember seeing this in concert, I knew Gandalf would come back, but I can't help but crying when he falls. The emotions are just too real. Thanks for uploading this.
6:43-7:34 its like an angel is singing! its so beautiful! Moments like this makes me feel that life is so special! AMAZING!!!!
6:43-7:34 me too.
The whole Mines of Moria is edge of the seat stuff from beginning to end. What a BRILLIANT movie PJ made
That woman.... once she started singing, i burst into tears. it so so beautiful and accurate
This trilogy and its music has been my life since I can remember. I don't say this lightly, but without it I probably wouldn't be alive today. Absolutely changed my life.
Gave me the chills when she began her part. Outstanding!!!
One of the most beautiful videos i watched these last months.... Completely stunning and "mouth opener."
The doctor: You have 9 minutes left.
Me:
The child of two missionaries grows up to learn what war and industry can do to a country's people and land from the perspective of a soldier, and then raises a family and tells a story that has stood the hardest test that any story has ever been put to; the test of time. And then this collection of wonderful people come together just to remember it live in concert. I've always loved this story since I first read and watched it as a child, this was simply amazing! God bless.
I'm here after the Rise of Skywalker. I need the best cinema has to offer after that. God what a masterpiece of film.
This is the culinary equivalent of spending your life savings on the finest available dining after eating a piece of gum stick on a bus seat.

I've seen this movie, specifically Fellowship, 50ish times by now. It's impossible for me to get to this scene and not rewind at least a few times during the part of this girl's solo!! Her voice, even if there were no context behind it, is enough to make my eyes water up.
6:20 is the part you're looking for
So dam right.....! Lol
I was looking for this whole thing lol
:'(
I was looking for 3:12
Movie (and my favorite of all time at that) WITH Live Symphony?!
(Experienced truth)
Let it be my love secret for the rest of my life to watch them every year …. ❤
Just to add on : it’s the same with first 3 part of the Pirates of the Caribbean ❤😊
The amnount of percussions and choirs is definitely part of which all these tracks sounds so epicly good.
The whole staircase scene would've seemed really goofy and pointless were it not for the music. The chanting and the intensity and everything about it just amplified the tension a millionfold, making the entire scene that much more epic and amazing. The soundtrack to these movies were brilliant, but this scene's score was perfection.
That solo almost had me in tears at the cinema. Goosebumps stuff. Emotion overload.
Wish I could have been there ... It's amazing too see the movie with the whole orchestra playing the soundtrack ...
This piece is the single most emotionally moving piece of cinematic music ive ever heard.
I just cant this orchestra makes me tear up everytime. What a beautiful performance.
+Harvey RSMOO (류민규) give this man a momen't for pity's sake!
Truly a beautiful solo near the end.
Brings me back to when I first watched it.
3:15 my favourite moment. I don't know why, but I love that part.
SAME!!
that part because of the music, and you shall not pass, for obvious reasons
Ditto.
I think it’s because of how intense the dwarven chanting is! The “HILVAAA HILVAAAA” as I remember the dwarves are chanting the demon comes fire fire shadow and flame and stuff like that at this point
Thank you for sharing, this should be filmed as a dvd too, I love the music and how they interact with the rolling movie is outstanding.
Tears in my eyes, chills upon chills...I'm speechless.
You can tell everyone around Caitlyn on stage were as mesmerised by her performance as the audience were. My god the voice she has is phenomenal!
MAN! That was epic..
I am booked in with my girlfriend on the 10th December to see this at the Bridgewater hall in manchester. Cannot stop watching this video
her voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCKK
angel ?
Words can't describe this and would make me look ignorant and clumsy if I tried. Thank you for posting this clip and the others. Very special moment in time.
Everyone talking about Gandalf dying and nobody praising the mens choir for that amazing performance!
The voice of the woman is the voice of God...
6:48 what’s her name?
Simply beautiful! There's no other way to describe it. It's one of my favorite scenes from the entire trilogy, it's always a huge mix of emotions and with the live orchestra it feels even more. The best story forever ❤️
The choir & music of this film is truly a masterpiece that gives me chills, & always makes me cry!
