    The fact that they didn’t check her water heater should be a crime in itself. Didn’t even attempt to verify her story.

      Exactly. I actually had this happen when my son was little. He was 5 and I had 5 kids and getting them all ready to go see the easter bunny. My son went to get in the bath and turned on the water, he stuck his foot barely under the faucet and the water was scolding hot! It was smaller than the one on this episode and he didn't need skin removed but it blistered and was bad! I took him to the er and they gave him burn cream. Luckily the Drs didn't accuse me. They did ask him questions and looked at his body to make sure he wasn't being abused but that's understandable! So yeah, first hand... I know this can happen. Oh and the landlord sent someone in to look at our water heater and it was turned all the way up. It just needed to be turned down... Incase anybody reading this has water that gets really hot!

      How does that make any sense at all?

    • @keab9929
      @keab9929 4 года назад +2

      @Shanell Wyche The doctors are mandated reporters so they had to report if not their medical licenses are in jeopardy and CPS had to do their job to see if it was intentional or not. Do you know how many family members that will not take in another family’s member child when a CPS investigation is going on and that is why some of them are placed in foster care. CPS typically wants to place the child with a family member. CPS workers has had family members in the same city as the child victims and they wouldn’t take the child. They found relatives in other states that would take the victims. Don’t get me wrong the system is not perfect but some people don’t understand the ins and outs of it and they only go by what people tell them that the system did to them.
      They have to do an investigation and it is an ongoing investigation. The CPS worker has to go before a judge within 24 hours of removal in which a judge has to agree or disagree with the removal. It is a lot of legal work involved in CPS cases. The parents are appointed attorneys, the child is appointed a guardian ad liem. It is an entire process.

    All I can say is I personally have experienced nurses and hospital staff genuinely over doing things when my son was born. He was born via c section, I had a very risky pregnancy bc of an auto immune disease and was monitored closely and medicated as always by my doctor the entire pregnancy. My son was born healthy, fine for 3 days and suddenly I had an disagreement with a nurse who tried to shame me for bot breastfeeding and literally an hour later she was claiming he needed to be in the NICU bc of withdrawal from my prescribed meds during my pregnancy. Which was an absolute, whole hearted lie. My child cried when he was hungry like any other baby, cried when cold, normal stuff. Never wasnt able to be soothed, never had one single symptom of any type of discomfort, distress withdrawal, nothing. So then my child was placed in the NICU for literally 6 weeks straight. My husband and I didnt miss one day, not even one hour.. we took 12 hour shifts there every single day and night. Everytime he cried, the nurse would put his "score" down more.. he supposedly wasnt allowed to leave until his score was a certain number. We had to literally spoil our newborn, not put him down for a second in fear if he cried or made any sounds the nurses would make his score go down. It wasnt until we finally said no, he doesnt need to be here, we ARE LEAVING with out child is when a doctor finally released him. The doctor had only seen him 2 times in the 6 weeks and went solely off of the nurses notes. My child never needed any medication, never needed anything, no monitoring, no breathing things, no special formula... *NOTHING* . He never needed to be there and literally all of it was based around a bitch. And years later we read she was fired for stealing a vile of dilaudid from the hospital, go figure.
    Point is, mom could be right. The doctor says whatever they want and no one will listen to mom.
    Also.. my own hose sprayer on the sink sticks all the time.. you let go of the sprayer but it keeps spraying until it's ready to stop.

Bias, prejudices and stereotypes are rampant in the medical and social work field. POC are unfairly treated and accused a lot. I’m not saying they’re always innocence. Same happened with my daughter and her kids. My grandson had three vertical burns on his arm...looked like a toaster burn. We dont know if it happened at his father's house but we knew it didn't happen in her house or mine. My daughter didn't have a table or chairs in her kitchen plus she had baby gates on both the bathroom and kitchen doors so he couldn't get in. Her partner at the time was OCD about child safety so cords were tucked away, the toaster and kettle were pushed to the back of the bench, locks on the fridge and the cupboards and draws all had child proof latches put on. The TV was safety strapped and everything. The heater has a gaurd around it too. No-one from DHS ever came out to inspect the house to see if she was telling the truth, they just took the kids and placed them in temporary foster care then placed them permanently with their father and she ended up doing supervised visitation. After they were placed with their father the injuries continued but even though they were reported to DHS nothing was ever looked into. We later discovered that the fathers girlfriend at that time was the one abusing them. Thankfully he dumped her sorry ass and has been a brilliant dad ever since. She has custody of 3 of the 5 kids. The 2 are still with their bio dad and we're happy with the current arrangements as she and I get to see them whenever we want with no restrictions now.
