Darien did promise sailor moon no matter what happens he'll be on her side. I see it as that small part of him that still wants to protect the princess shining though.
Johnny B Actually, Vincent Corazzo came in so very late after the Four Specter Sisters mini-series replacing Tony Proctor as Tuxedo Mask during the production of the "lost episodes" from the DiC dub of Sailor Moon. Aka, the remaining 20-something episodes of the Black Moon arc from the original 90's anime series. But yeah, Corazzo should've been brought into the game so early and voice Prince Endymion in the earlier episodes. That would've been even cooler for him to channel in his inner Zexion from the Kingdom Hearts franchise. In which ironically, he was the English voice actor of Ienzo/Zexion from that video game series.

I do really like Robbie's version in the VIZ dub. I started watching it recently and the dialogue is better, and I think the acting is really good. Although the original english dub will always hold a special place in my heart as that's what I grew up with. I do think Robbie has that evil chuckle down really well.

Ashley S i think the ViZ dub is until now The only dub that kept the whole cast the same till the end from all dubs there made from any language, even in the japanese dub the voice from usagi swapped out at the end of the first season and the begin of the second, I know why but still. The dutch dub almost had it the same too, but they swapped jupiter’s voice actor after 2 episodes
For the Diana video, I think you got the wrong Loretta Jafelice image, the one that appears first beside a Wikipedia article is a image of a women with blonde hair. The other one you have didn't seem to have a connection with the voice actress as I searched up :P
I found the picture on a podcast interview page about her comedyabovethepub.com/?p=2717. At first, I did think the same thing when I was making the video, until I did some more digging (read: used the Search by Image feature on Google LOL) and found out that the blonde actress was actually someone else entirely. She turned out to be Kim Poirier, not Loretta Jafelice.
How can any one say Proctor is a bad actor after listening to these clips? Proctor has emotion and comes across as prickly to even his evil allies, which he is supposed to. He also retains that element of dorkiness Darien has, reminding you that he's not supposed to be evil. I'm not saying his performance couldn't be topped, but it fits. Daymond sounds like he's just reading lines when he's evil except in his last few clips here, and he also sounds ten years older. There's no sass, no flair...and keep in mind this is a guy who goes around as an evil tuxedo-wearing clown. How can anyone call this a good performance? At best it's miscast. At worst it's just bad.
LOL no, Proctor was approaching the part completely wrong, making Endymion sound like a whiny dullard and a complete joke. Robbie Daymond played it the way it was written to be played as.

That and his voice is a dead giveaway that he's not "supposed" to be evil. By contrast, there are times like 11:06 where there is literally no emotion at all in the line readings. NONE. Whispering isn't an emotion.

Robbie Daymond definitely fits the role better. His deep voice resonances better with tuxedo mask for some reason. Also, Both the Japanese were good.
