Crucibles on the ebc 900 have 12 pockets for more chemicals to be added. Didnt see Zarkonium?

Wow, nice video man! I'm building a high vacuum chamber for aluminizing telescope mirrors and I would also like to make AR coatings for other stuff like old lenses and home made lenses. Do you think that I can achieve that with only evaporation boats? Like, putting all that stuff in evaporation boats that you have in crucible? Is all that material expensive? Do you have any sugestions where should I start? Your video is very enlightening because there is no many info on the subject.. Is there other method to achieve good AR coatings? I'm not very interested in durability of a coating because nobody usualy touches the lenses, and they are cleaned very rarely, but I would like them to work good... Thanks man!

Im no process engineer, but do know our machines... they use a very high voltage EB gun that forms a beam of electricity to burn the materials. I don't think just a boat with heat would be able to evaporate the metals in order to deposit them. There is a form of coating called sputter coating.. doesn't use as strong of a vacuum, and uses targets to evaporate the metals.....not very familiar with the process but it might be easier to build a sputter machine... You also may just buy a sputter machine for a reenable price there are a lot out there and are not very big

@@mhopticallabs4616 yes, I will make make magnetron for sputtering, I already made one for a friend. Thanks anyway! :)

Recommends that everyone get AR coatings on their glasses...........well except for him. His glasses are uncoated.
