One of the nicest, most genuine guys in this sport. Been squaded with him at Eastern Games. He will bend over backward to help anyone. Solid as they come!

I had the privilege of being on the winning 4 person team with Brandon at the 2023 CMP national smallbore prone championships at Camp Perry. When I was asked to be on the team I had no idea of his background. But as he coached us and called wind I realized his abilities were at the highest level. When I returned to the hotel I read his bio and I was like “Holy S…” I just fired a match with one of the greatest marksman of all time. To say that was cool would be huge understatement.
    Thanks Brandon
    God Bless

Hey Philip. That was a fun match. Now we just have to convince him to come back next year.

Tom here, fellow Team Misfit Love member. Ditto to what Blake & Phil said! Need to suck him further into the cult of SB Prone. @@blakemakison5296

Brandon Green is a living legend, and the most down to earth guy. He is also a fantastic teacher. AMU does a great job at matches offering marksmanship clinics. SFC Green doesn't just present material, he drops gold nuggets along the way that would have taken me years to discover on my own, if I ever did.

Great interview! I know it comes across as the AMTU guys just shoot and go to matches but they also conduct training sessions at the unit level. I was privileged to attend the training they conducted when I was with the 4th Infantry Division. I put together a team to compete in the Commanding General’s Precision Rifle Match that the AMTU team would oversee. My team won the match. I would have given anything to be a member of the AMTU but that was not to be. I have great memories of talking to the AMTU guys and even to this day I wonder what it would be like to be a part of that great group.

Great interview Erik. Brandon is an amazing shooter. I see him at our local club when he come home. He has the eye sight of an eagle at 600 yds. Keep up the good work EriK!

Shooting with him on the 4-man SB prone team match was an incredible shooting experience. One of the best Camp Perry experiences that I have ever had! His coaching and wind calls were fantabulous. I just laid there and pulled the trigger when he told me to. I was the loss leader of Team Misfit Love, but every leaker was vertical (all me), no points lost to wind (some scratch 10's though).
Thanks Brandon, hope to see you on the range again soon.

I picked up a bronze EIC for pistol shooting back in 2007 and was B class in limited USPSA. Gonna try the rifle stuff now is why I’m watching. Appreciate it as always

Good thing you didn’t ask him about his secret reloading or tuning techniques. You would be pretty disappointed. Open the box, point it in the middle, shoot x’s. Do that 20 times in a row and set records. If he is hand loading it is most likely in a hotel room or on the tailgate of the truck.

I have seen him reload on the back of his pickup truck and on bleacher seats. I don’t know what that ammo was used for but he was at Camp Perry when that was happening.

This podcast reminded me of a question I wanted to ask Erik. I have heard you say that you have moved away from .3 charge weight variation to .5 and even 1gr during load development and I was wondering if that only applies to large case capacity cartridges. For something like .223 I would imagine that you would want to do .1-.2 when working up a load.
