Tapi ya pelan, safety kurang (tapi tetep lebih aman dari motor), jarak dalam kota. Lebih cocok tu buat negara ini.
Yg pastinya di indo gak akan apresiasi bisnis macem gini. Yang diagung2kan adalah bisnis bersih depan komputer: contoh gojek, bukalapak, youtuber. Mereka zero risk, modal laptop+server. Kalo gak laku yaudah bikin app lain. Very cheap business

That segment isn't a product pitch. He was being interviewed by WSJ. WSJ readers want insights about business and financial management than product ads. A different entrepreneur with different experiences would share different outlook, etc.
I guess if you take out the user's battery replacement costs, then it might be worth it. The problem with anything electric these days is that battery durability is just awful and replacing them costs at least half of your vehicle's price, it's simply not worth it in the long run. Still, $4000 is a bit much. Take out the "smart" functionalities and make a much cheaper and simpler scooter with the same battery exchange stations at half the price.

A Cadillac is more expensive than a Chevrolet. A Yamaha scooter is more expensive than a Chinese scooter. Pretty sure the Gogoro is a much better scooter than a $200 Chinese scooter in every way, other than price. You get what you pay for...
Gogoro are obviously more interested in fashion than what users might be able to teach them. How about carrying stuff around? Are you just going to attach something to the frame so it sticks out? Nice slick looks do not compensate for utility. I run a firm delivering parts and maintenance all around the city. I need electric vehicles that provide a modicum of customisation possibilities for tool cases and carrying.

5 years later, they've released 4 series, and Taiwan roads are now almost 20% Gogoro's.
