When u do take the braids or twist out do you have to wash it first before you see more definition

I usually wait to take out my hair until the parts in my hair start to get covered by new growth. Twist outs don't lsat very long so I save them for an event. Use a pick to raise only the ROOTS for volume. Oil on your hands while taking out to prevent breakage. If you wash your hair you will lose the look, I tend to wear my hair out then, go right back into twists. Hope this helps!!!

You won't completely clean your hair since its still in a style, I recommend wearing it out, then washing within a week or two
