@@whitefrog3814 as a hugeeeeee Nintendo fanboy and switch fan, I pulled the trigger on a steam deck and it has been amazing. I still love my switch and will be first in line for the switch 2, but I have started to only use the switch for Nintendo exclusives. Everything else better on the deck!
My gf was the one who got me into stardew valley on switch. We would play for hours together on our farm. That lasted a good while and then we found out about mods and decided to get it on steam along with steam decks, it’s been a blast ever since and the experience has been enhanced further with mods. We can’t wait for haunted chocolatier to eventually release!
Stardew has become my favourite game of all time. I love the mechanics, the stories, the characters and ConcernedApe is a treasure. I own it on multiple platforms though playing it on the steam deck is my favourite way to enjoy it. Finding out i can mod on there has been a game changer for me. I'm excited for Haunted Chocolatier too.
My personal take, is that Stardew gives a sense of "emotional purpose" where other cozy games fail. Ive been playing Roots of Pacha, basically a Stardew gameplay clone set in caveman times, and its not sucking me in in the same way. Everything is too nice, too perfect, the people have no worries, the resources are infinite, spirits are always helpful, and the other tribe's gripes boil down to "i think that one person is a meany-butt". Sure the gameplay makes you want to upgrade your tools to make farming less of a chore. Or breed animals for a faster mount, but to what end? Everything is already ideal. Compared to Stardew where the NPCs give you a reason to care about them, hate them, love them, hope they do better. And those characters evolve as people!
I still remember the day i lost the save of Harvestmoon friend of mineral town due to hdd failure on my PC I wish why there is no game like harvest moon but on Pc 😅 When Stardewvalkey out many include me doubt that it could fill the big shoe HM left in fanbase I bought my copy on Steam and many years later still be the best game of the genre it started on PC What you could ask from a lonesome dev who basicly still trying perfect his best hit 😊
Stardew is probably the best game in the Cozy game genre, in my opinion. Its been in the Nintendo Switch top 5 since its release on the Switch and I own this game on steam, switch and mobile and the fact that this game still gets FREE dlc/updates that has only added and made the game better and better. There is nothing wrong this game does. I would happily buy more versions of this game to continue to support the dev. I can happily wait for Concerned Apes Haunted Chocolatier because if he takes his time like he did with Stardew, it will be just as good.
Believe it or not coral island got me into stardew valley. One thing that helps if you don’t like feel attached to stardew is make new game plays and keep playing over and over 😊
One of my favorite games of all time! It’s like a relaxing parallel universe! Thanks for putting together this beautiful love letter to help recollect my memories!
My bf is actually the one who got me into stardew! He said that since I liked animal crossing so much he wanted me to try out stardew and he sent me the money to buy it on switch and we played together until we reached year 5 or 6 I believe and then we started a new file on pc and yeah! This is a game I don’t think I could ever get tired of
This would be an extremely good video to explain to people why Stardew is so good and people should try it... if everyone i knew hadnt already played it too 😆
After waiting for months for 1.6 To update on switch I finally bought it on my MacBook and I regret waiting so long cause it’s so good 😭 I wish we would hear some news about it coming out on switch soon though cause it’s just not the same playing it on a laptop
I do and don't want to dive into this game again. I love it. But getting old sucks. I'm playing real life capitalism and that shit is hard and time consuming.
I thigh the exact same thing but I couldn’t deny being curious about why ppl loved it so much so I bought it on sale. 2.5 years later I’m still obsessed and it’s the best game I’ve ever played and I love the art style now!
These videos are bitter sweet for me as I patiently wait for 1.6 to come to Switch.😂😢
my thoughts exactly 🥹 still always appreciate love for this game

stardew is the game all cozy games want to achieve but they can't. because it's already been made.

I wish we got some info on the 1.6 console release 😭
@@EdinMike no fr! I keep checking his twitter everyday for the past 2months😭
Same and I even play on PC
Crazy how it's taking so much longer than the 1.5 port which was a MUCH larger update. Something must've came up.
@@bogdweller27 as far as I’m aware getting it all stamped and green lit by several companies takes time. But it shouldn’t be this long.
ConcernedApe just dropped a tweet recently, still no release date though. I'm guessing 2-3 months. 3 months at most.

I absolutely love playing stardew valley, on my 1st farm I'm going on year 3 and I started another farm just yesterday and the mine is now open

Pink bunny best bunny.
I've always thought of playing this game as it looks very peaceful and just a chill game. I think I'm going to give it a try :)
Maybe I should play this game someday
definitely should!
Play on PC if possible even if you have a very cheap PC ( I run the game on my $300 4gb ram hp)
i just hit year three!!!
This review is a perfect explanation of why stardew is my favorite game of all time! thank you!
9:04 What got me into Stardew Valley is the customization and the fact I can date someone!
He listens to his fans and the community, updates are free.
Lots of videos listing games like Stardew, but nothing really compares.

The day cycle is way too short for it to be relaxing.
@@Frank_42 it is relaxing if you don't try to absolutely max out each day
Stardew Valley has what other farm sims and comfy games lack, things like GAME MECHANICS and THINGS TO DO.
