On behalf of everyone in League One, thank you Plymouth for staying right where you are. Good job lads.
John Eustace is far more of a gentleman than I would have been in his position. Birmingham are down because of their moronic owners. "No Fear Football". It would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic.
John Eustace is a great manager all the blue supporters loved him and I know is going to do a great job at Blackburn. John once a blue always a blue
A class act. Understood the club and us fans, was always 100% honest with us, knew the limitations of his team and did a really good job. I'm sure he'll go a long way as a manager.
Imagine where we would be if we didn’t bring in Wayne Rooney
You would have been better off. Sacking Eustace when in 6th place was nothing short of ludicrous .
You would probably have been in the play-offs, mate
Lower table maximum. The players are still poor.
if we hadn't brought in (not 'didn't bring in')
I mean if Mowbray was healthy we finish mid table comfortably.
Big commiserations from a QPR fan. I can imagine how you feel, and rightly so. I can't understand why John Eustace was sacked in order to get Wayne Rooney. It just doesn't make sense, considering that if John Eustace was still in charge that Birmingham would be in the play offs. I truly hope you will bounce back and be bsck in the Championship next season.
Actually there on the down
They looked awful all season
'they're ' not 'there'
Awfully sad Wagner made a catastrophic error sacking Eustace for Rooney The Blues fans are among the best in the land Birmingham city are chronic underachievers yet the passion and commitment of their fans is unquestionable I hope blues return to the top flight soon genuinely sorry to see a major club in third tier football i wish it was abu Dhabi rovers aka man city in league one instead like millions of other fans yours truly regretful a London based cov fan respect to the blues and their fans true fans like sky blues fans
Why do you hit the space bar four times between every word
To be honest Plymouth, Wednesday and Blackburn have pulled off some results where you didn't expect them to. Where do we start with the inquest? Was it the 3-3 draw at Plymouth after being 3-1 up for instance? We shouldn't really have been in with a shout today , we were talking must-win at Millwall and every game since. Well done Wednesday, you seemed dead and buried at one stage, Eustace got some good results away for Blackburn, and Plymouth getting that win against Leicester and Hull today, well deserved.
Just one result going our way would’ve done it, certainly weren’t down and out. I think if we’re looking where to point for the team, 2 points in 2 weeks against the other relegated teams isn’t good enough.
Ultimately it’s the owners who are to blame. Ridiculous decision to sack Eustace to bring in Rooney whose managerial claim to fame is barely surviving relegation with Derby as well as being someone the Yanks have heard of from his stint in MLS.
"the club is on the up" - relegated
He is clueless
Long term, Rowett is stating something he will not be part of nxt season, so why would he lie??
@@whatayear he is probably correct but the timing is wrong
@@valuetraveler2026 Fair comment, but he has nothing to do with the club as of today.
Have Blues ordered the 30,000 mannequins they're going to need to fill their new stadium.
Blues average 20000 which in my opinion is excellent considering they have been fighting relegation for 10 years, had points deductions, an owner jailed and a MD offering the fans out for a punch up!
To all the supporters of the blues, I hope that you know that all it takes is having the right man in charge. Ipswich Town's meteoric rise is enough proof that it can be done. #UTV
You couldn’t even get in your school 11.
So go back to mummy
Here's hoping for back to back promotions and some brilliant second city derby games again! There's been a gulf in quality between Blues and Villa for too long now. What funs a rivalry when you never compete with each other?
Actually mr rowett the league table says the club is on its way down you muppet😂😂😂
Not his fault. He did his best, definitely the best they had this season after Eustace.
@@saralgupta5250 He needs to stop telling lies though!!
Rowett is clueless
He's on about the long term future - you muppet
There's a lot of delusion at Birmingham at the minute (not the fans). Dangerous times for them
Sack John Eustace after beating rivals West Bum when they were SIXTH IN THE TABLE. He goes on to Blackburn…. Only 1 of these teams will be playing in the Championship Haha. Great for Eustace and his staff!
Just hope Brady and company are good to the staff that are going to be impacted by this relegation. No layoffs please
There won't need to be layoffs. Birmingham have the revenue of a midtable premier league side. The most revenue generated in the history of the football league. They will be fine.
Brady and Wagner are monumental prats.
It's no big deal we move on. No more poor board decisions. no more poor players. We learn from this. Looking forward to league one Tbf something different... Up the Blues 👌💙
Typical of Rowett he used to come out with this Bol/ocks when he was the Millwall manager. He has just got relegated and he is spouting
Bol/ocks about this clubs on the way up. What a muppet
Off the field with massive plans and the land already purchased it is on the way up.
Unfortunately 10 years of stagnant growth has resulted in relegation.
Not Rowetts fault we got stronger with him in charge. If Mowbury can’t return I hope Rowett stays.
I agree
Nice words from JE top bloke cook go now
Wagner thought it would be easy, like buying a McDonalds franchise. Sacking Eustace because he wasn’t glamorous enough for the ‘new’ Birmingham cost the club dear. Good to see Eustace (who knows football inside and out) put Mr Showbiz in his place. Wagner thinks he bought a sleeping giant but long suffering Blues fans would have advised him it’s more akin to a coma.
Same would happen to Chelsea but it’s big enough to survive (some help from Saudi doesn’t hurt either 😂) American owners need to understand football first.
Hopefully, he won’t continue making poor decisions
@@saralgupta5250 exactly. 👍
@@DaBooster let’s hope so 🤞
As a Derby fan, I’m so happy for Gary Rowett 🐍
Bring back Wayne Rooney 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
if you say so Gary ! 😂😂😂
Villa in the Champs League places and a European semi-final. Birmingham on their way to League 1. A contrast in fortunes in the 2nd city.
4-2 lol
@@markb6086 If you are a Birmingham fan, I don't think you are laughing much😉
And still ultimately will win nothing.
@@whatayear True but the prize money and prestige of playing in the Premier League must be good
@@mondo9379 It's not everything, there's only 3 or 4 clubs who can win something. I'll support my club whatever league they're in.
The owner said that they’re the biggest club in town. Well one team is heading for Champions League and the other is heading out of Championship. Wannabe owners from America that don’t understand football should stay out of football. Bigger clubs would still survive(Chelsea) but smaller clubs will not.
CL where you'll get hammered every game, and ultimately win nothing again. Not just biggest club in town, the only club in town. 'Big club, small club' always subjective, but not to plastic glory hunters i assume.
The gall to claim they're on the up on the back of a humiliating relegation.
We're pretty chilled with it
We leave these clubs to go through it all over again next season.
Szmodics saved Eustace's job to be fair.
Ive never heard so much crap, how can you be on the up when relegated, Div 2 next term 😂😂😂😂
100% Reading have found League 1 tough and so will Birmingham. I'll be very surprised if they bounce back first time.
Owners with loadsa money, new stadium on the horizon, imfrastructure, there's lots of fans on here, actually most of them, who know f all about football.
Because we've been taken over by billionaires with ambition. Why would you comment without even knowing that?
At least Birmingham won a trophy more recently than Tottenham
Blues have been appalling all season. The defence has the spatial awareness, technical prowess and flair of a Sunday pub league team.Half the squad hides, is idle, and lacks any pride or determination. Cov at home was the only time I saw something resembling passion.
“You get what you deserve but we deserved to stay in this league “ hahahah what
Their owners are the reason why Birmingham are relegated
How do you sack Eustace for being 6th in the Championship
😢
Not with you Gary.Moaning at officials every game.
Weird thing to say on day you get relegated
That group of players fucked it big time
As a Villa fan this is the only time I've felt sympathy for the noses. How dare you f around with peoples team like that you houses!!! C'mon blues meet us in a cup round
They will In the johnstone paint trophy cup against our under 21s 😂😂😂😂😂
@@bugzystalone8915 And you won't turn up.
I don't want you in the cup you would thrash us. KRO
On the up?.........your delusional mate.
Rowett always has that "smug" look on his face as if nothing is his fault, and wherever he gets sacked from does not matter because he will always end up on the settee at Sky doing some analysing. All he needed to do was win a game on the road against one of the bottom 2!!!
Not gonna lie,Hearing ROOOOONNNNNNEEEEYYYYYY sung at Brighton away today a few times was beautiful. Always loved Wayne, love him even more now 😅😅
How is the club on the up.? It’s the team and results that count …
Don’t fall for the Hollywood sideshow, Rooney and new stadium.
Fans did no ask for either…it’s results that count that’s what the fans want…a winning team on the pitch to compete at a higher level not a lower one..😅
Points on the board , not how many pints the Board buy in the pub… that’s all nonsense in comparison to playing in the 3rd tier.
I admire your optimism but it is often misplaced when you think about the reality of the last 9 months…
League One Is an awful league enjoy
Same as the Champ, no fears.
Don't let the American Propaganda fool you. Many many clubs have heard this dribble before and never materialised. You think exchanging Premiership football or at least challenging for it in exchange for League One and a new stadium, concerts and a fan zone is a good deal? 😂😂. My priority is on the pitch... football. Wealthy Americans are not the same as Rich Americans.. if they had money they would have spent it... they had opportunities to spend. They could have ( if they are as ambitious and wealthy as they claim) bought top class players.. Premiership players... they could have done that and still build a stadium, host UB40 and sold a dream at the same time. When your business brain tells you the team comes second after a stadium and hot dogs then I really don't think you have your priorities in the correct order. Premiership football or new stadium, what would be your choice? If we need a new and bigger stadium, marketing and commercial assets then that worries me... maybe they are not as wealthy as they want people to think. Suspicious. You have either got money or you need to generate it.... which is it? One thing is for certain, a place in the Premier league would have generated money !!!
This may be the smartest comment people will read all day about the subject. Spot on
Edit: Grab me tickets to the UB40 show please 🤣🤣🤣 What a reference that is mate.
What a stupid comment Tom Wagner is worth 7 Billion believe me he has money the blues team has had to survive on loans and frees bad owners from the past and EFL rules cauld only spend so much we have had work done on st Andrews to say he has not spent money get facts right
Jealous Villa fans
Completely agree with this comment. Every blues fan has fallen for this new owner because of his promises. I won't be convinced until the promises become reality
Well said Christopher Paul Rogers…. We weren’t able to spend big due to FFP & can’t believe anyone doesn’t know that?
We have the best owner we could wish to have (imagine being relegated under the despicable Chinese who ran the club on a shoe string?) and a really bright future. 💙🤍👍
They're all standing there clapping you've just been relegated no passion at all
The club on the up? having a laugh do well to get in playoffs last season 🤷♂️🤷♂️
