  • This is my favorite large slab rock saw cut of agatized wood! I still remember finding this piece eroding out of a hillside right above the Yellowstone River. Thank you to my subscriber Randol who sent me these great crazy lace/laguna lace agates to feed my Beast!

      hey couldn't you cut sort of a wedge from one side to preserve the druzy pocket and then finish it by cutting it straight from the other side?

    I think I heard Drogon burp, which of course means that he's had a very satisfying meal. I certainly enjoyed watching him eat! Glad he could get his mouth around that magnificent petrified wood.

    Well heck! Those were all exceptional rocks and a heck of a meal for Drogon! Those crazy lace slabs were so lovely! My goodness they were pretty. I love crazy lace, and those were exceptional beauty's!. And the colorful jaspers and the mossy agates and plumes! Absolutely gorgeous rocks! Drogon must be stuffed! Lol! Thank you for sharing the beautiful cuts! After a meal like that, Drogon is going to need a nap! Lol! Thanks Kim!

    Cut, cut, cut. You and Drogon make the best team ever. I've always said you have the best honey hole for rocks on the planet and now you have your friend Randall with one too. Each piece had it's own beauty and colors of the rainbow. Eye candy comes to mind when seeing this. Thank you and Drogon for exposing beauty that took millions of years to create. Wonderful!     Oh man, I don't think that I could have cut that first crazy lace. That druzy pocket was too cool! I absolutely love crazy lace, and that last one had some intense color! And the green agate, wow! Dragon had himself a 4 star gourmet meal this time! Thanks to you and Randall for sharing 😊

      I agree with you!!! But Randol really wanted me to cut it! I kept the druzy part and put it on my shelf, it's so pretty. I have a soft spot for Druzy!

    A Pleasure as always Mom! Petrified Wood is about my favorite due to variation and the different expressions it has. Also the fact your holding something that was alive and elegant some millions of years later is Deep.
    Think I'll have to go fire up the Greasy Gecko and nip at a few pebbles 😜

    Dimensional appearance. Like looking into a pond…….. and the lace agates you could stare at for ever and continue to see new patterns. Thank you. I/we couldn’t experience this beauty if you and others didn’t share🙏

    Dang!!! That crazy lace right around the 6min mark was truly amazing! So rad how you film in 4k too so we get the best detail when looking at these pieces of awesome! :)

    Montana rock mom, you are a Drogon slayer! You always seem to place the rocks so perfect to get such beautiful cuts! Those agates were breath taking and the agatized wood was so beautiful! I wish we had petrified wood here in Minnesota! Or I wish I knew where it was if we do! Lol 😊

    Loved the green moss and the plumey agate after it. Stunning rocks. You find some real cracking rocks. I'm quite jealous. I didn't expect you'd be so fast to put rocks up for grabs. I thought you'd be months, so i ordered some stuff from the rock shed and can't afford to buy any if your's for a while. I'f i'd known you were gona have em so soon i'd have held back, but i was dying to get some rocks to cab. Sorry 😔

    Your saw is really nice. You could put a piece of 1 inch foam in the tray for the pieces to fall on and not chip then up

    Okay mopping up the drool. Such incredible rocks and the lacy agates were awesome but honestly the green mossy agate stole the show for me this time. Thank you for taking the time to make the video Kim and for showing us how well you feed Drogon.
    P.S. i finally am in Turkey and going to explore Derinkuyu the 2000 year old underground city and then go rock hounding tomorrow. So excited.

      @@MontanaRockMom I'm 10 miles from the Cascades. My river, the Skykomish is up 20 ft. One day 80° next 49°. Now raining on the snow and in a week 90°. Spring in the PNW.

    Some looked like a Butterflywings Beutiful. At 4.20, that is the most beutiful Agat I have seen, and very special. What shall you made from those slabs?Really really some very beutiful and colorful Agats. My stomach turnes, because I WHISH I had some, or MANY of those slabs

    Nice stuff. What do you use to glue the rock to the wood? And how do you remove it after?

      Just use a small amount, let it dry a couple hours. When you're done, you can soak the wood in warm water overnight for easier release, or use vinegar or acetone to dissolve the glue.
