It certainly finds deeper targets than the garret 250. For me its a great starter detector for the price and uou will certainly be finding stuff.
Both TX-850 and TX-960 are good metal detectors.

TX 850 is much much better.
850 is exact clone of the Teknetics g2. Really nice machine.
