We're celebrating Black History by honoring the legacy of community builders. We're drawing our inspiration from Martin Luther King's concept of 'beloved community'.
Building a community is no small task, and a community intentionally built on equality can be even more challenging given the failures both past and present in areas of racial justice and reconciliation.
We invited Dr Pat Price from Virginia University of Lynchburg and Lynchburg Virginia native to our studio in City Hall and asked her two questions:
1. How have you witnessed community in action in Lynchburg?
2. What are some ways that we can build a beloved community today?
