On top of the water, you just think of the surface, the waves, the calmness of the water. But if you let your imagination go, you might think of how deep & wide the water is beneath & how many really big things are swimming underneath. Some are hungry. Being on a kayak brings a closer connection to the water & ramps up the experience with nature, but leaves you quite vulnerable to a horrific, terrifying ending. You guys should've seen it, it was Awesome" and the other sharks laugh and tell their stories about the people they freaked out at the beach that day by swimming by with their fins cutting through the water to see how many people would run out of the water stumbling, falling and rolling around screaming "shaaaaarks get outta the waatterrr!!" ...😆🤣😂

Whats exactly the point of going into waters notorious for huge aggressive great whites in tiny boats that an adult great white could easily capsize if he decided to? I mean, why not just buy a small boat? The risk:reward ratio in cases like these just don't make sense to me.
Have any of you people actually ever done any ocean kayaking ? Have you researched the statistics on shark attacks on humans ? The fact is you are way more likely to be seriously injured/killed taking a selfie or driving your car ! I know quite a few divers who regularly swim with large sharks. They truly appreciate these magnificent and grossly misunderstood creatures that have been demonized by ridiculous "Jaws" idiocy.
I have a couple of great comments and suggestions. Firstly, I applaud anyone who gets out of their super-safe supermarkets and hunts their own food. It helps the planet. Secondly, very clever to put a rope on your paddle in case you lose it. Third, a suggestion. Install a sharp thing onto the end of both ends of your paddle, so that when you poke the shark, you're pricking him and giving him a little sting. Just weld them on or something. (XD) It will need to be quite thin, strong and sharp, because that shark skin is very tough to get through. You want something basically like a needle to the shark. Might need to be about as long as a large nail, but much sharper, and probably a thinner. More long and thin in dimension than a standard nail, and much much sharper. You want it to penetrate the shark, but obviously like a needle-prick, you don't want to be giving it big gaping wound like a knife or harpoon without reason. I think the best description for what I have in mind, is a 'spike". Install a thin sharp 'spike' onto the end of your paddles. Pretty good idea eh?! Final comment I have is: That was a pretty big shark! 5-metres? Whoah! I have one more final comment: If a shark attacks anyone, don't then go out and hunt it down. That's wrong. Humans' dying isn't the end of the world like we make it out. We need people to die all the time, it's necessary for the quality of life of our own species as well as the whole ecosystem at large. Dying prevent over-population, it's a population control-measure. Humans aren't sacred, and we shouldn't have this attitude of 'making safe' the whole land as well as the ocean. That doesn't mean we create viruses like AIDS to take out human populations. It just means that we accept a more indigenous way of life that involves natural risks and natural deaths. Without risk and death, there is no freedom. Cotton wool is prison. If I had to sum up the sentiment, it would be "Stop being so precious and vain." Earth-life is supposed to be dangerous, and we have to accept natural human death with sanity, objectivity, and equanimity. Not with Divine Retribution. That's psychopathic. Do you want to be psychopathic? Well you ARE.... (talking to humanity as a whole there) Yeah alright, make safe your house and immediate surrounds. But not Everywhere.
Arahorn - I agree with you. Humans *DO NOT HAVE TO play in the ocean.* I'm trying really hard to remember which kind of shark it was.... The one that heaved its huge body up on the shore and all the way to a beach volleyball game, wrapped their teeth around one of the people, and hauled them back in the water to eat them. Ahh, I just can't remember it's name! Oh well. Maybe someday, someone ELSE can tell me which shark does that. In the meantime, *if people decide to go and PLAY in a White Sharks front yard* and get hurt or killed, be sad, grieve, but *DON'T GO KILL A BUNCH OF SHARKS, JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE SHARKS* and THEY DO WHAT SHARKS DO; *SURVIVE* in *THEIR* OCEAN *HOME!!!*

I wonder if the shark had a drink with his friends later and was like"duuuudes I did the circling bit around their boats and once they got the go pro out I bit the boat to see what they would do!
TheArtistsHeart Studio ☝🏼 this is HILARIOUS!! 😂 😂😂😂

Damn carl!!! That looks absolutely terrifying...have you seen the vid of the kayakers and the white shark where the shark is attacking the kayak while the guy is swimming for his life? Crazy stuff...your lucky my brother....how big you think it was? And do you take any precautions now when you go out?
Great vid...thx for posting...
Hi Jay we reckon it was 14 to 15 ft . I have upgraded to a 14ft skiff with a 8hp . We also don't fish that spot so early anymore lol
When you go in the ocean you are in the great white place where they live in and who in the right mind would ever go in a shark infested waters just to fish hello no I will fish red on the dock or own land nobody could not pay me to get that much goddamn water and deal with the God damn short new and the shark is trying to single them out to find out which one he want to breach and kill that's a predator surgeon what the shark is doing so they doing a good job pushing the shark away and stand together but once the short go underwater and do that Outburst of speed draws open there ain't no saving nobody hell if I was them get the hell out the goddamn water
Delmer johnson we are first week of August cape cod mass woooohoooo we are LUNCH.
Does having a certain color kayak make it prone to more shark attacks?
Whats exactly the point of going into waters notorious for huge aggressive great whites in tiny boats that an adult great white could easily capsize if he decided to? I mean, why not just buy a small boat? The risk:reward ratio in cases like these just don't make sense to me.
We fish an area that is easily accessible by kayak and you can't get to it by boat easily. Also we couldn't afford a boat at that time
The adrenaline rush knowing you’re kayak fishing with monsters
(XD)
It will need to be quite thin, strong and sharp, because that shark skin is very tough to get through.
If I had to sum up the sentiment, it would be "Stop being so precious and vain."
Earth-life is supposed to be dangerous, and we have to accept natural human death with sanity, objectivity, and equanimity. Not with Divine Retribution. That's psychopathic. Do you want to be psychopathic? Well you ARE.... (talking to humanity as a whole there)
Yeah alright, make safe your house and immediate surrounds. But not Everywhere.
Haha
You're a lunatic drunk for sure! So easy to tell
Jarpies..... some of the toughest people alive .... amazing vid you guys just incredible...any chance the shark picked up a minute blood trail ? Anyhow that's a survival epic
Dam..... next time take some hand Grenades to scare them off.
This is brilliant, kayaks, fishing, sharks, but I do admire the way they tied the kayaks together. Now, off to drag a few salmon through the woods in grizzly bear country....😏
This is comparable to having a grizzly walking around outside of your tent. Just makes me think how brave humans are to have traveled across the wilderness thousands of years ago, to cross rivers with crocs, oceans in a large wooden canoe, with only sticks, rocks or spears to defend themselves.
Just accept the fact you can't buy a boat... Don't do this.
