A much-needed update of Replay. I hope the option to save the replay for later release comes to Pro soon. I think it's more functional to add another OSD button below the Replay button to save a replay instead of having to choose it in a popup window. Pressing the replay button would work as it does now, and pressing the "Save" button (for example) would save the replay for later. I would even add a third OSD button to launch the last saved replay.
Can you reshuffle the playlist via drag and drop? that way you could f.e. move the first replay above the intro and then tap the intro to skip the first replay. but you can still quickly move it down again to play it. also what FPS are the replays recorded at? still 30 FPS?
Does the replay feature let you somehow add a text or graphic overly when a replay clip is playing? in a sports setting, i'd find it helpful if the viewer could be identifying a 'replayed' shot over the live current shot. I was thinking this could be as simple as a text overlay or maybe even a boxed border art with a replay design. thoughts? I've been thinking of getting an HDMI matrix to split my cameras / sources into an ATEM Extreme and into a different device that could be managing my replays. the Yolo box seems like it could serve this purpose, even if its just pumping the replays back into an input in the ATEM
My typical hockey set up is main camera wide angle, and two behind the goalie net cams. If I hit multicam replay only the main camera and only one goalie cam has action. Is there an option to skip over the goalie cam that has no action.
Right now it works two ways, either you can have it autoplay all the configured replay cameras, or you can not use the autoplay at all, and press the play button manually on one of the angles when you want.
@@gbstitanshockey Right now it plays through the rest of the replay playlist from that point. But you can cut back to the live cameras whenever you want. I also suspect this is a good feature request to make this behavior configurable, or switch it to only play that one clip then go back to live, so we'll see if they update it in the future.
Hey Aaron! Thanks for your great content. I freelance for Aloha News in Minnesota and we tried to love the Ultra using it 3 times to livestream debates/panel discussions and it froze up on us multiple times each event. I did have success using it as a switcher only…but adding the stream: no go. Can you share a contact at Yolo who can help us get a replacement? Because of your review, I’m looking into the Magewell Director Mini. Thank you!
It's a great feature... But does have limits in terms of number of inputs it can replay... Ie... You can't have a 50p stream, a 50p recording... And 3 inputs checked for replay.... It's too much.... Gotta loose one
Which part of the action does it replay from ? The immediate last 5, 10, whatever seconds ? If you want to scroll back a little bit further to a specific in/out point, can you do that ?
I'm getting frustrated with all the Ultra updates after dishing out 1200 for Yolobox Pro.... Might not ever support this company again with a purchase. Take a break from the ultra updates and go back to the Pro
They've been reasonably good at backporting the features from the new models into the older ones, at least as much as possible given the lower power CPU. For example the YoloBox Mini got a bunch of updates that are in the Pro long after it launched!
sell it and get the ultra its freekin awesome! my first yolo product and love it! if i wanted to get an equivalent device that is portable and bonds internet connections together I had been looking at the Teradek Bond 659 backpack and that costs £4000 !!!!! without the cell modems and attenaner which cost thousands extra!!!! my ultra can do the same but at a fraction of the cost!!!
@@speedbird737 the Yolobox Pro does bonding as well, I love it but lately all the updates are for the Ultra and that's what's bothering me. When they launch a new version of the ultra, will ultra users be stuck wishing? One of the selling points for the pro was the frequency of the updates and until the ultra came along., they were very consistent.. Maybe Aaron has a point of me being a little more patient and see if they circle back around after the new sales of the ultra level off. Osee has a much cheaper device that looks really good and I'm considering getting one just to try it out.
The easiest and most affordable multicam replay feature on the market to level up sports production! Thank you for the demonstration!
This is such an awesome update. Kind of unreal, honestly 🤯

I agree, the popup is a bit intrusive!
Pro needs same upgrade immediatly
Very cool! Best innovation in the streaming space in quite a while.
Thank you! It means a lot for us!
Yolo box pro cage or rig to mount on tripod and 2 cameras?

Yeah! You can give it an image to use as an overlay when the replay is playing! It'd certainly be an interesting use to use it just as a replay box!
@@aaronpk thank you!
Like a Stinger? Yes it’s on the plan as well.

@@aaronpk what happens afterwards when you press a single manual play.

Will be continuously optimized!
If video source is cropped into multiple video source. Will it allow to record all the source in replay?

Almost seems worth it as a dedicated replay box though - if you can multiplex your sources.
where did you buy the cage for YOLO ultra? give me the link please
It's from INUX3D! shop.inux3d.com/en/yolobox/194-295-pk1-prostreamer-ultra-cage-for-yolobox-ultra.html?aff=y226

There's a setting to choose how much to replay, but you can't scroll back further than that
@@aaronpk Thanks, I'll need to experiment with it. Hoping to cover some four camera ice hockey in the near future.
What’s the best website for date and time for the yolo box
Hello. Great video. I have a question: when you livestream to youtube through the YoloBox, can you see the comments that people post?
Yes, if you log in to your youtube account on the yolobox and create the livestream from there.
@@aaronpk thank you
Yolo box pro & yolo box ultra does it have web URL
I wish this video started with, "so, in case you didn't know, a YoloBox is..."
I will do that in the future! Here's a good overview though ruclips.net/video/aS3nuoWMm7I/видео.html
