Society only teaches and programs that we must go to college, learn general knowledge for 4-7+ years and then have us work the rest of our lives earning a paycheck and then retire at like 60 for a pension or 401k plan .... I always thought screw that and that I was gonna be a part of the 3% of the world living their dreams, but I’m also going to be making a difference in everyone’s lives around the world .... Thanks to this amazing man, we can all become apart of the 3% just don’t give up and don’t be okay with being average we all have purpose in this world

A thought of building an app pop up on my head while I was working and searching for some tutorials and lessons online was the first thing I did when I got home. Lucky I found your channel, so helpful. Thank you so much! I hope I can manage to lunch my own app soon.
Follow your dream and just take it one step at the time! Even if you code "only" one hour or two in the evening after work, it is still one or two hours more than the people who just dream about the next Million Dollar App but never take action. @@CodeWithChris You're totally right. I don't often come online due to my heavy work but I will try to fix my schedule for this. This is what really matters to me right now. I'll surely taped that not just on my desk but to every corner of my apartment to make sure I won't missed it.

This was such a great lesson, thanks Chris for on-boarding me on my journey of building my first app. So easy to follow and understand the concepts and basics of the Xcode tool and how this will help a beginner as myself!
this is really good for the most part. If you dont have a mac book and you download the site he suggested at 1:55 well it costs money to get for as low as $55 per month. thats after the 24 hour trial
Hahaha, ok, Mr. Philsopher! You don't really use an app to make an app. You use IDEs like Xcode and programming languages like Swift to develop iOS apps. Thanks for dropping by! :-) -Arthur
I came to this because I heard a kid talking about how he can code on ted saying that kids cant find coding lessons easily. So I googled: "how to make an app" and got this vid.
The newest version of Xcode have slightly different settings so it took some time figuring everything out. The downloading process was brutal as it took hours. However, this lesson is so informing, clear, and concise that you've gained a new subscriber and I will be moving onto your next videos! Thank you so much!
I'm just trying to figure out how I would go about making an app to help me actually get up in the morning because I am really bad about shutting off all my alarms and then missing whatever thing I needed to wake up for lol. And I feel like I have a pretty unique idea but I don't know the FIRST THING about app development 😅😂
Thank you for this video, I honestly haven't even finished it yet, but I do know that I think what you are telling me to install and do are the hardcore basics of which I really need. I guess an eleven year old like myself probably could not build a decent game, but I am about to see for myself to see what I can do with my hands and a PC. :D Also good luck to everyone here, I hope your apps succeed!!
I’m very happy I’ve came here bc I’m very interested in making apps and just having fun being creative with code but yeah the problem in that is I don’t know how to code sadly but understand how everything works

its my lucky day! ive been watching your last series on xcode, but i have been trying to convert some pieces of the lessons to the new version of Xcode. so this is great! thanks for teaching us!
Hey Chris, just wanted to say that I think I am really going to like your teaching style. I have tried before to use the Swift Playground or other "beginner" tutorials that basically give you the code and words to use, but don't actually explain what the practical use is. I like that you go into more detail to explain what it is to code and how to use what you are teaching down the road instead of just having the student memorize code. As far as why I am here. As I said, I have tried to take on learning to code apps before. My wife has a few good ideas for apps related to her field, she's an artist, and there are a few things she has searched for that shes would like to see in an app and hasn't been able to find. In addition, I have been a gamer since the early '80's, and have found that I like mobile gaming. I can see the potential that building apps has to create passive income and turning it into a serious business with the right idea and marketing. I am a CAD designer by trade, and am tired of working for someone else's dreams, so I am here to learn to code, and work toward my own dreams and to be my own boss eventually.
Jack Sellers I know ppl (as above) will all tell u positive, encouraging things in response to this type of comment, and they will continue to do this yr whole childhood. But I'm going to do u a favor & tell u the truth. They will NOT tell u this in school they'll just keep feeding u a bunch of nice fairytales. Cuz truth is no one wants to believe this, the shit ain't easy to accept...but sooner or later we got to stop believing they're BS. First I want to say, thank you very much for this video! Very informative. Also I apologize if these questions have been asked before but: 1) How would we know if we should build our app as a hybrid app (working on both web and mobile) or as a iOS specific app like your showing here? 2) Is there anything that you would say has changed in terms of technology as I’m a software engineer myself and I know things change fairly quickly x

I have been trying to figure out how to create a game app for the android. All that I found was drag and drop programs that really didn't teach me much about creating my app game. Since I know how to code a bit, I want a program in which I put my designs in, edit here or there and start inputting commends in. Thank you, Chris, for showing us this.

Wow, from what I can tell so far, these videos make the whole process seem so digestible and straightforward. Thank you for doing this! You've probably led to the creation of a ton of cool/useful apps.
Way to go!!!!!!!!! Keep that motivation up and let's get coding! See you at the finishing line!

Im here to help my parents with this, due to the pandemic Im scared we might end up struggling so I wanna help out any way i can. Thanks for the vid Chris

Bryan Chiclana if you don’t mind me asking how did you learn coding?
@@czar2074 I am still learning. But, I have learned from Tutorials and books I have bought myself. You can learn it yourself. AS long as you have the passion and desired to learn you will make it!

In no time your app will be on the App Store and will also be on hundreds of devices!

The big damn question: how does the people make an app that makes an app
Hahaha, ok, Mr. Philsopher! You don't really use an app to make an app. You use IDEs like Xcode and programming languages like Swift to develop iOS apps. Thanks for dropping by! :-) -Arthur

Before watching your tutorial I don't have any confidence about my idea but after watching this I gained confidence thnks Chris🥺

Thanks for sharing! Glad that Chris's teaching style resonated with you. Hope you enjoy the entire Beginner series. :)

And maybe if I knew this at your age things coulda been different.

First I want to say, thank you very much for this video! Very informative. Also I apologize if these questions have been asked before but:
1) How would we know if we should build our app as a hybrid app (working on both web and mobile) or as a iOS specific app like your showing here?
2) Is there anything that you would say has changed in terms of technology as I’m a software engineer myself and I know things change fairly quickly x

I have been trying to figure out how to create a game app for the android. All that I found was drag and drop programs that really didn't teach me much about creating my app game. Since I know how to code a bit, I want a program in which I put my designs in, edit here or there and start inputting commends in. Thank you, Chris, for showing us this.
