Hi Bobbie and John, that peanut butter looked so unique that I bought a half a pint for less than $4.00 at Amish Country Store online. You know, Ohio Amish country looks like a lovely place to live in, I wouldn't mind living in a nice apartment either there or in Pennsylvania Amish country. My friends live in a lovely apartment complex in Millersville, PA which is Amish country, and they just love it. It is rural and the farms and lands are just beautiful, and it is a more simple and wholesome way of living that I really like. I live with my 84 year old mother who needs me to help her but one day I would consider retiring to Amish country if the area has a church that is alive with God moving and is thriving with worship and good preaching.
I’ve only been to Amish country once a long time ago but your videos really make me want to spend a vacation up there dining and enjoying the fresh country air
On our bucket list….We discovered a small Amish community near us in Union Grove NC. They have a general store, so we will take a day trip there soon. But, traveling to PA and OH hopefully in the next year or two. Always enjoy these videos especially.

That buffet looked delicious and plentiful! My mom used to make liver and onions back in the day (only wanted the onions) and I was quite surprised to see it there. I grew up with my mom also making an amazing kugel. Her kugel was only made with Pennsylvania Dutch Noodles from the market. I didn’t realize noodles was a big thing with the Amish until I watched your videos. Thanks for including us at your table! 🤗🕶🕶

Ate there many times with my parents...we would take relaxing drives down thru that area with our 2 puppy dogs and all the resturants in the area are great! Im from Canton the Pro Football hall of fame city...

The dessert looked very good, just a great meal. If I ever get to that area I would definitely try Mrs. Yoder’s kitchen😀
haha, ok, so, i got a much needed giggle (thx to my long day) at him saying “my grandma used to try to make me eat it” about the liver and onions. but wow, do i love that stuff, as did my mom. but like your wife said.. “you just have to like the taste.” but my hubby wont touch it with a 10 foot pole so i only eat it if he works late, lol. ok, back to the video, but i have to pause time to time to post if something hits me, lol
You folks spend A LOT of time in the Amish country. Nothing wrong with that, but you're making me want to move there! 🤣Have you ever seen the movie, 'For Richer or Poorer' with Kirstie Alley and Tim Allen? If not, please do. Funny movie.
This is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Amish Co. I had never seen the meat balls on the buffet before. I'll have to try them next time I'm up there. I also want to go visit that colorful pizza place you all did the review. Hopefully one day I'll run into you all in Amish country or Pigeon Forge TN.
I think me and the wife could definitely make up for the price in just eating that chicken! That looked amazing and I lost count at the number of pans they had because I started drooling so much. I do feel a bit sorry for the bird population in that area but a person has to eat and that chicken just looks amazing. Thank you for the video and God Bless!

i was gonna tell you guys because of your videos in amish country i went and ordered the peanut butter they eat on bread and i even got my nephew addicted to it and he usually doesnt like peanut butter my whole family loves it
If you like Amish places, you might want to check out Sarasota, Florida, someday. The Amish have gone there on winter vacations for many years. They have neighborhoods there and of course some restaurants (Yoder’s and Der Dutchman). The pies at both places are amazing. Strawberry pie at Der Dutchman was really fantastic.
Broasted chicken is a favorite of mine, though I'd pass on the Liver and Onions. That Broccoli salad looks so good and the rolls with the Amish Peanut Butter, yum. My husband would love the pickled eggs and the banana pepper eggs, I'd take a pass. The pie sounds delicious as well, I'm a little surprised that the dessert isn't part of the buffet price, but I don't think the price was bad. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
I'm with you Bobbie, I love liver and onions. Growing up my Mother always got the baby beef liver which is different from calves but don't know the difference I was too young to ask and I never see baby beef only beef. I do know the baby beef had a milder taste. Haven't had any in years and also Mom cooked it until there was just a little pink in the middle. Yum, so tender. What part of Ohio has the Amish communities in it, I couldn't find any of the cities you have been to on the map I have. I've been through Amish country in Pennsylvania many years ago to attend a college friend's wedding. The food at that buffet looked delicious and fresh. Pays to get there early and the food must be good for so many customers filling it up so quickly. I love when John goes through the menu and I pause quite often to read the details. Interesting what's popular in different parts of the country. I'm used to New England and Yankee type foods so enjoy seeing what is popular where you live and enjoy through your experiences.
There are pocket of Amish all over Ohio, but the biggest communities are in the Holmes county area (northeast of Columbus) and Geauga county (east of Cleveland). And just over the Indiana border in Shipshewana is an Amish flea market and shops that are popular.
@@scruffy0928 Thank you for the information. I follow a cat shelter in Defiance Ohio and was wondering if they were near that area. Will have to check on map. Love that type of living of home and family oriented ways.
I wish the Amish would move down south in my city so I would be able to eat their food. When we lived up north went to the Amish Country quite a bit and it was good

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Amish Co. I had never seen the meat balls on the buffet before. I'll have to try them next time I'm up there. I also want to go visit that colorful pizza place you all did the review. Hopefully one day I'll run into you all in Amish country or Pigeon Forge TN.

I love liver and onions!! I really want to try that peanut butter, here in New Zealand our peanut butter is a little salty, not sweet.

I love liver and onions too! With my wife it's a no go but she'll fry it up for dinner. Yours needed more onions and yes the brown gravy over it too.
Most people do not like liver. Mom always made brown gravy with it.😎😎
I think me and the wife could definitely make up for the price in just eating that chicken! That looked amazing and I lost count at the number of pans they had because I started drooling so much. I do feel a bit sorry for the bird population in that area but a person has to eat and that chicken just looks amazing. Thank you for the video and God Bless!

i was gonna tell you guys because of your videos in amish country i went and ordered the peanut butter they eat on bread and i even got my nephew addicted to it and he usually doesnt like peanut butter my whole family loves it

If you like Amish places, you might want to check out Sarasota, Florida, someday. The Amish have gone there on winter vacations for many years. They have neighborhoods there and of course some restaurants (Yoder’s and Der Dutchman). The pies at both places are amazing. Strawberry pie at Der Dutchman was really fantastic.

Broasted chicken is a favorite of mine, though I'd pass on the Liver and Onions. That Broccoli salad looks so good and the rolls with the Amish Peanut Butter, yum. My husband would love the pickled eggs and the banana pepper eggs, I'd take a pass. The pie sounds delicious as well, I'm a little surprised that the dessert isn't part of the buffet price, but I don't think the price was bad. Thanks for sharing this one with us.

I'm with you Bobbie, I love liver and onions. Growing up my Mother always got the baby beef liver which is different from calves but don't know the difference I was too young to ask and I never see baby beef only beef. I do know the baby beef had a milder taste. Haven't had any in years and also Mom cooked it until there was just a little pink in the middle. Yum, so tender. What part of Ohio has the Amish communities in it, I couldn't find any of the cities you have been to on the map I have. I've been through Amish country in Pennsylvania many years ago to attend a college friend's wedding.
The food at that buffet looked delicious and fresh. Pays to get there early and the food must be good for so many customers filling it up so quickly. I love when John goes through the menu and I pause quite often to read the details. Interesting what's popular in different parts of the country. I'm used to New England and Yankee type foods so enjoy seeing what is popular where you live and enjoy through your experiences.
Mom always made mashed potatoes and brown gravy with liver. Not everyone likes it. We always try to get to a restaurant as soon as they open. 😎😎

There are pocket of Amish all over Ohio, but the biggest communities are in the Holmes county area (northeast of Columbus) and Geauga county (east of Cleveland). And just over the Indiana border in Shipshewana is an Amish flea market and shops that are popular.
@@scruffy0928 Thank you for the information. I follow a cat shelter in Defiance Ohio and was wondering if they were near that area. Will have to check on map. Love that type of living of home and family oriented ways.

I wish the Amish would move down south in my city so I would be able to eat their food. When we lived up north went to the Amish Country quite a bit and it was good
