    How did you introduce ammonia in the fishless cycle? Mine is current showing 0.2. Do you think that might be ok for the gloop?

    hey! I just used this in my fishless tank that I'm currently cycling. I don't have a huge tank (110l) and I was recommended a goop of 150l if I wanted to get this cycled for my future Axolot (aim is 4ppm to go down to zero in 24 hour period). I used that but I now have a lot of goop just sitting down at the bottom of my aquarium. Is this normal? I don't want to remove this excess as I'm not sure if it just needs time? Or can I do it later on with water changes? Great video!

    This looks like a great product. I'm a massive advocate of fishless cycling by dosing ammonia (although I dose to 4ppm). You can then, pretty much, chuck your full stock in straight away.

    • @TANK-TV
      @TANK-TV  2 года назад

      2ppm of ammonia. It is produced on and can handle up to 4ppm but you wont be throwing 4ppm of of ammonia in the tank when you add fish so just work to 2ppm..... (not 0.2)

    Hi, just wanted to ask, when you used Dr Tims Ammonium Chloride what levels of dosage did you use to get 2ppm on your 650?. Not used Dr Tim's and just wanted to pick your brain for my 560lt. Thank you in advance Sal.

      Yeah Dr Tim’s if it’s a small tank and all instructions are on the bottle but larger tanks it’s going to cost a bit.
      If you UK based get on the APC website and get the tub of 99.9% pure ammonium chloride and dose 5mg per little of water… that’s milligrams not grams 😂

    hello,
    I have recently changed my tank from gravel and artifcical decor to complete planted tank with auqa soil in it. I added 6 drops of dr tims ammonia which is availble in the market to add th amonia source to start fshless cycle. Now, till past 3 days everything was ok like i had ammonia 0.50 ppm nitrite was 0.5pp, and nitrate 20 ppm. Being a fishless cycle i used to add the ammonia , but suddnelt now the ammonia is gone to 0 and nitrite and nitraye are at the highest peak. I did a water change yesterday night and checked the water today morning jsut to c how things are going. But there was not change in the result. I believe my tank cycle has collapsed. what can i do get it back on.
    PLease advice

    • @TANK-TV

      3.14(mg) pure ammonium chloride (powder form) per litre is what I did to achieve 2ppm

      @@TANK-TV it will be the case of transferring over from the 400 litre I have the fish in now into the 1500 litre. Would rather put fish in sooner than later as the tank has been delayed by nearly 2 months now so I am eager to get in new tank. Mine is a media wall build so ideally I need to get the build done also before adding fish due to noise and vibrations of tools etc.

    Question. If you have a brand new tank, with conditioned water. No fish. No ammonia, can you use the goop and it’ll be ready within 24 hours before being able to house a fish?

    • @richyc3697
      @richyc3697 Год назад

      No, the goop needs Ammonia to feed off otherwise the beneficial bacteria will die polluting the water. Speak to the manufacturer but fish and goop are supposed to be added together ideally, as long as your water is conditioned and stable.

    How does this stuff work on a fish in cycle mate?

    • @TANK-TV
      @TANK-TV  2 года назад

      This stuff cycles the tank for you so you don't need to fish in cycle. Dose the tank to 2ppm ammonia and then add the Goop, continue to feed the 2ppm ammonia every 24 hours for 4 to 5 days just to strengthen the bacteria and then add fish once ammonia has dropped to 0 after the last ammonia dose.
      Only reason I say to feed the bacteria for 4/5 days is because there is going to be a period once fish have gone in where the ammonia needs to build up so the bacteria wont have any food source for a week or two unless you stocking silly heavy straight away and feeding heavy.
