Penny Hardaway Greatest Games: Triple Double (35/10/12) vs Bucks (1994)

  • The Orlando Magic had a simple philosophy at the Bradley Center: Let Anfernee Hardaway touch the ball as often as possible.
Every time Hardaway had the ball in his hands, something good seemed to happen. The second-year guard had a huge first half to put Orlando up for good in a 113-105 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, and tied the career high for points (35) he set the previous night in Boston.
Hardaway also recorded the second triple-double of his career, recording 12 assists and 10 rebounds as the Magic won their seventh consecutive game.
''Penny's a basketball freak,'' Magic guard Nick Anderson said. ''Just give him the ball and get out of his way, that's what I say.''
This Orlando Magic team (94/95 season) went all the way to the finals that year and they were the best offensive team in the league (110 ppg)... Such a shame Penny was destroyed by injuries and Shaq left to Hollywood.
    Orlando won the game 113:105.

Anfernee Hardaway was a talented basketball player. He stood six-seven, and was playing like Magic Johnson, Pistol Pete Maravich and Jerry West-but with athleticism like Michael Jordan. Penny was one of the most exciting player in the NBA to watch when Jordan retired. I really hated to see his career diminished because of injuries. I always thought that he was going to be the man when Jordan retired. He was special-there aren't any players that I know of that displayed that kind of talent like the the way Penny has.

@@pCOCKPRO11 Jerry West was averaging 27 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, and 6.7 assists per game. He was that good. That is why he is the NBA logo

There is no similarity between west and penny from what I assessed. Definitely a magic & Jordan hybrid. He was rangy/long like young Kobe physique wise. But his impact was like a magic or Jason Kidd.

@@youngblood4127it's weird. Penny only had 4 or 5 great years. I know he got injured but his highest avg ppg per year was 22. Holl came back after he was hurt for 3 years and was at 17 ppg and finished his career with 15 5 5 whole penny was 14 4 and 4 . Very close still. Penny could hit the 3 better. Penny made 4 all star games while Hill made 7 and Penny once Shaq left got eliminated in the first round in 96/97 and his career was over pretty much after that.

Thanks for the upload man... Penny is my favorite player, or I can say favorite athlete of all time. If only he stayed healthy for 5 to 7 years, he could be over Kobe and Lebron.

How do you get all of this basketball film? I could benefit a lot if I could get my hands on all of these tapes that you upload. I'm a student of the game, and I would love to study these legends.
