- Military bands play 'Aey Mere Watan ke Logo' as part of the Beating the Retreat ceremony being held at Vijay Chowk. After the song, National flag is slowly brought down and band march towards raisina hill.

It took us 75 years to acknowledge that Indian tunes resonate with the audiance better. Let such nationalistic changes become permanant. Hats off to the ones who took this decision.

A song that Was poignant , is and will be forever. If we forget the supreme sacrifice of a soldier we are worse than the lowest animal . Totally ungrateful and undeserving of the freedom we continue to enjoy . This song never fails to make me cry ( as it does many others) . Totally deserves to be included. Thank you. Sombre end to a beautiful ceremony. Thanks to each member of the band. Thank you for your service - Indian Defence service. Vijaye bhava . Jai Jawan ! Jai Hind.
