Man, if the next time Ren did blood work it showed he was in remission for his ME-like, MCAS crap from Lyme disease, he'd throw himself onto a tour bus and tour.
Because he can write music while sick (at the level of sick he's at presently), and he can record albums while sick, and if he's careful about it he can film videos while he's sick... but touring/having a schedule of COMMITTMENTS to perform for ticket sales is the aspect that doesn't work.
And yet, from the footage we have of him busking, we see how ALIVE he is when he's performing (which only ever happens on his GOOD days currently).
That remission tour would be an inferno of joy and creativity.

❤Ray, your kind heart always shines through. Ren is the same, he connects with so many of us because like you said, even though his story is heartbreakingly true, he shows us that perseverance and belief in yourself are a stepping stone for greatness. I know you love Ren as much as I do, it makes me so happy❤️

Lost my dad at 48, primarily from stress. Lost my mom 2 years later, also 48, to a broken heart and drinking. Then I lost my husband 20 years later, I was 40, he was 34, to pancreatitis, from drinking and working 20 hours a day in the music/club business. I tried to work myself into an early grave before he got sick and missed so many amazing moments we should've, could've had.
If you are still reading this I implore you: don't work yourself into a heart attack. Your job will go on just fine without you. Don't drink yourself thru the stress because your significant other/family won't be able to do that. Love your life, love yourself, love your partner, your family, the flowers you see on the street, the moon, your health (regardless of whatever it may be). Cherish the time. That's what's irreplaceable. It's ALL that's irreplaceable. I'm a mess and in pain with my own health shit. But I am grateful as hell that I'm here for this. For this story of the alchemist, of Ren. Making gold out of rust. And Ray who brings us sunshine despite his, our, myriad darknesses.
Find what you love and do that. It's what makes all the difference. Ray and Ren prove it on the daily. With all the love in the world, let's gooooo! Xoxo from Chicago

I knew eventually you would get to my eventually Everybody Drops request Ray… this song and video had so much of an impression on me when I first started going through this Ren journey over a year ago…I think that it means more than just having an addiction… I took it as letting go of whatever it is that stops you from moving on in your life… some have addictions but also personalities and habits that keep us mired in sadness and the ability to move on with our lives and get to the next level whether it’s anxiety or depression etc. Ren grabbed me by the ears and shook me so hard the day I met his voice and talent… i resonated with so many things he seemed to want to share with me and everyone else… not once did i question his sincerity ever… I loved him almost right off the bat as he told us by all his actions that he loves us too… he wasn’t or isn’t a perfect person, he is though someone with a pure heart and intentions… something that also made me drawn to your talent… yes you are a big goofball but you connect with us through your humanity and humour while being sincerely concerned with your viewers… I know you love Ren that is also what makes you great… you are one of us with the exception you get to tell him and us on camera… thank you Ray… your listeners love you… 🎶♥️🎶xxx

Ray, you are spot on. Ren gives us 150%. It shows. I think many of us are in love with Ren. He is amazing on so many levels. Nobody even comes close to what this man is doing musically. And the messaging brings so much hope, connection, compassion.
Ray, I’m sorry your wife also suffers with an autoimmune disorder. That’s got to be a tough road. But getting to know you, you are there for your family and are the rock. Obviously you have huge work ethic. And your humor can pull the dark clouds from the sky. Bless your heart. You are already helping so many people with this platform. Maybe there is someone that really needed your encouragement tonight to reach out for help. It’s exciting to stick with you and see what you will bring in the future.

Hey Ray, thanks for being your magnificent self. Thanks for loving Ren the way you do. We’re all a little in love with Ren. He’s deserves all the love and respect that we have for him. He has more than earned it. For all that he does for us, and shares with us; I can’t thank him enough. The laughter he brings us. It’s so obvious he cares. He doesn’t have to post all the funny or interesting stuff he puts on Instagram. I think he does it to help the lonely and lost fans feel connected, and it works. It actually helps a lot. Great reaction Ray!😘❤️✌️

Crowd surfing is the scariest an amazing few seconds/minutes ever. You want out of a pit of bodies? Tap some big mofo and say "hi I want out" give the single for up and out 👆🦸 and watch how fast your feet leave the ground and you are thrown on top of others 🥹 depending on the spot you land people either keep you up or your in a new spot. Only time it's not fun when you are in the very front and security pulls people out watch for shoes kicking you head because they are fighting to stay on the surf and not get pulled out. ❤

I can relate to the struggle. I have multiple autoimmune issues, between hoshimotos, chronic kidney stage 3A going into stage 3B, a duplicate urinary system on one side i deal with constant kidney infections, then the hoshimotos is a thyroid issue, no cure for either just controlled through meds and diet. Due meds i am now showing signs of liver disease, those alone have me feeling like I am dragging 1000 lbs through a mud pit daily, then add in neuropathy, chronic inflammation, arthritis, fatigue, insomnia and migraines functioning and lower back/lumbar SI joint issues causing nerve issues down the legs. Every day is a struggle but I push through get up get dressed and push through my days with minimal meds while helping an elderly parent and elderly neighbor. I put on my smile and push down my pain until i am home alone. So for those out there with health and mental emtional issues I get you and get the pain you are dealing with. Prayers for peace in heart and mind whatever your struggles you are not alone.

I love this song so much, but it really hits close to home. I have a 7 year old son who was born 13 weeks early and has had to live through more in his 7 years then my 45 year old self ever has. He has an auto immune disease that makes eating really hard and because of it he has developed a pretty severe eating disorder. He is legitimately afraid of new foods he isn’t familiar with. Asking him to try something new is the equivalent of asking you or I to eat a spider. Despite all of that he is the smartest kid I have ever seen. He learns things so fast and can remember everything he is told. The line “how many lessons in this life must I live through” reminds me of his struggle daily. He doesn’t deserve to be afraid of going to the doctor for a simple check up. He has so much anxiety around medical appointments. I can’t blame him. I hope as he gets older he won’t find it so hard. Thank you for your reaction and thank you Ren for your amazing song.

It's not very often I have no words, no ramble, no gibberish, hmm nope absolutely nothing wtfff....come on malc.... something....
What you just done....f**k still no words....1 word to start a sentence come on malc...
I know what's needed... A Ren and Ray fireside chat in a forest around a campfire for 4-5 hours...ren can bring his acoustic guitar, I know you said your wife is camera shy but bring her along as well, and just talk about anything you want...I'm sure you could rustle up some meat on the BBQ that he is able to eat...this needs to happen at some point I think... You both have a love of music, you have both had not the simplest journey through life, you have both overcome difficulties in that journey, you both have stories to tell, you both have a good heart to help others, and you both spread positivity where you can in what feels like a very dark world.
That would be a very special thing I think dude!

As much as I wish that Ren didn't have to go through what he went though and is going through with his sicknesses, and as much as I wish that you didn't have to go through your drug addiction and the consequences that went along with it; neither one of you would be who you are today without going through what you did.
We wouldn't have _Hi Ren_ or _Sick Boi_ or any other song relating to or mentioning his sicknesses. There'd be no *_Sick Boi_* album or #1 chart topper as an independent artist. He'd probably be signed to a label and who knows honestly where'd he be right now.
If you hadn't been a drug addict, got clean and needed a distraction from the daily struggles of staying clean, you wouldn't be Vibe Reactions. None of us would have been able to experience your Rants or Slap Happy Reactions; a large variety of musical artists/bands that I, personally, would have never heard of, never mind, listened to (I might have said that backwards, haha); your inciteful & inspirational speeches; your passion for music; your goofy-ass amazing humour; YOU!
...and in my humble opinion, both of those positives would have sucked not having (granted we wouldn't have known about them if they didn't happen, but I digress, 🤣).

I don't mean for this to be a criticism of what you're saying but as a Canadian, I have to point out that:
      Jann Arden
      Feist
      Tom Jackson
      Tegan and Sara
      Tim Buckley
      and Loverboy
are all performers from Calgary who've made it BIG
... and in the wider sense of Alberta outside Calgary, you can add:
      k.d. lang
      and motherfuckin' Nickelback
      to the list. ❤
(I promise you, I'm not being pissy about what you said, I'm just offering information to the conversation about the environment Ren's in atm)
Edit: just to be clear, you're absolutely correct that it's not a musical *epicentre.*

I didn't know he was Canadian), Joni Mitchell (also Alberta), Shania Twit, err, Twain, neil young, etc. etc. etc. aka a lot more. [for the record, most of these are off the top of the head or that I already knew - with exception to Sebastian, Terri Clark, and Leonard]
Holy Man! I'm finding out a lot more Canadian singers/bands too - Rolling Stone magazine has a list of the top 50 Canadian musical acts (Ignore # 28, turns out she's American) that I'm now looking at. I promise I won't list more! (Okay, one, I didn't know April Wine was Canadian, too!) lol

So-called "tough love" is nothing but cruelty. We would never advocate letting someone with heart disease hit rock bottom or someone with kidney stones tough it out in jail.
This kind of thinking is a remnant of Calvinism. It's ineffective, needlessly cruel and smug as hell. And no, I'm not hating, just trying to correct something said early in the video that might have felt good, but has no basis in science.
