House to investigate ethics complaint vs Pantaleon Alvarez on May 16

The committee on ethics and privileges of the House of Representatives will begin its investigation on Davao del Norte 1st District Representative Pantaleon Alvarez on Thursday, May 16.
The former house speaker is facing three allegations, namely: making libelous remarks against fellow public officials in Davao del Norte, his “habitual absences” from duties as congressman, and making seditious statements.
