Tagum City Mayor Rey Uy wants Congressman Pantaleon Alvarez expelled

The House Committee on Ethics and Privileges held its preliminary hearing on the ethics case filed against Davao del Norte 1st District Representative Pantaleon Alvarez on Thursday, May 16.
Tagum City Mayor Rey Uy, who led the group of complainants from the province, told reporters during a session break that he wanted Alvarez to be met with expulsion. Uy alleges that the lawmaker made libelous statements, seditious remarks, and claimed that Alvarez was negligent in his duties as congressman.
