That's just straight up misinformation, my dude. Little Mac absolutely can, and Peanut uses it ALL the time to ladder combo opponents on PS2. He puts them in a tech chase situation on the platform, then wave dashes onto the platform to follow up (usually up-tilt into up-B).
He has to double jump or air dodge to get on PS2 plats
funny thing, peanut actually mentioned on stream that he’d rather platforms, especially against zoners like samus, the plats give him paths around the projectiles

Looks to me like PawnMaster over-emphasised grabs and under-utilised bombs here. Bombs can be very disruptive to ground-based characters like Mac.

Anyone else who absolutely hates facing Samus in Smash bros?
And before anyone says Samus is not that good, 2:07, and also consider:
10th heaviest character in the game, heavier than Ridley, and absolutely too heavy for her size and for being a zoner.
Great recovery: tether, Down B stalling, good air acceleration, pretty floaty and good Up B.
Combined, it makes her probably the hardest character to cheese in the game. I've almost never killed her early.
Charge shot setups lead to true combos involving launching ariels, or combo grabs. Also Samus' most damaging move at full charge, dealing *_35%_* .
Her ariels are pretty quick, and have great range too. All combo and kill.
And all her moves deal alot of percent (except jab lol, but we dont about that)
Her grab is not really spot dodgeable (most of the time anyways), and she has great combo and kill throws.
Her grounded moves are the only sane thing about this character. (Though Up smash needs fixing. A weaker but consistent up smash would be nice for everyone).

Pretty sure "30 seconds" is for taking the first stock. Ever since seeing him use it, I noticed he pretty consistently does just that
I wonder why PawnMaster was not using his missiles more often. It seems like an important tool to limit Mac's approach.
Why do they get up and walk in the center after a game?
They're picking the next stage they're going to. The player that lost the last game counter picks to a stage they choose and the one that won in the last game bans a stage/stages before the losing player.
