Yea, there are 6 (if I recall correctly) npcs in the entire game that don’t heal. They are all very strong for the level you are intended to encounter them at. I guess Hodrick’s the exception (but only for the Mad Phantom) because his Mad Spirit variant is pretty tolerable for the intended level and only really requires one Phantom for a new player. Love how havel just walks away like, yup just another day at the office
Havel would've stomped if Hodrick didn't have estus.
And Hodrick woulda clapped Havel if he didn't have batshit insane Health/Defense/Stamina
For everyone who says that Havel should be able to heal:
The only reason he is not allowed to heal is because it make the match more fair and it would make him OP
Just to clarify, I am not against Havel, he is a rock and I like him
Yup bro we all like Havel and if he heales its make him a little bit casual
@@Memesnotgonnameme yeah but then there's no match against Havel with his defenses. Havel can take a full hypermode machinegun round without even dying... scratched... Btw here's what a hypermode machinegun round looks like: ruclips.net/video/mn4A_233DJc/видео.html
@@randmgenericname5077 omg what did u just showed me in that video bro the bow glitch is op
While the ‘Host’ variant (end of Siris’s questline) is intended for higher level players or more skilled players. And since 2/3 of the variants are okay with heals, they gave him estus.
@@randmgenericname5077 4:06 Havel survives a riposte from Hodrick buffed with RTSR and power within - it actually does less than half his max HP as damage. That kind of defense would be insane for another NPC to overcome without chugging.
Told ua guys Hodrick won 3-2 great match tbh both played well
Why Hodrik used ESTUS. IS HAVEL NO?
Obviously without ESTUSES it would have been 5: 0 in favor of Havel
@@HunterPlayStream yup buddy i did answer u in that comment if Havel used estus he ll win easily
@@HunterPlayStream in the lore, havel does not want to use estus cus its for the weak
@@ertanfranzl788 yup exactly
@@HunterPlayStream and? havel has an stupid high resistance and nobody say anything
I fear no NPC invader... But that thing... *Looks at Madman summoning sign*
It scares me.

For real though, Hodrick is a better PVPer than most casual players ever get. I'm not surprised at all that the parry king did so damn well again THE ROCK, I still worry about fighting him.
2 things I will never understand
Hodrick beating Havel
Creighton surviving Gael twice
I was jumping on my chair the whole fight. In the end my favourite won!
Excellent match!
For once, Someone is better than the Rock Himself, the Mad Lad Hodrick.
1:35 CAN'T STOP THE ROCK! CAN'T STO-
Just look at how they massacred ma boy....
Why Hodrik used ESTUS. IS HAVEL NO?
Obviously without ESTUSES it would have been 5: 0 in favor of Havel
Heard that in Vito's voice....
I rather have notifications on this channel if im staying up late
Hodrick chugged like a desperate drunk, buffed, did all kinds of things and even then every win is always by a close call.
I'm sorry but in my book Havel won.
cope
Whats it like having a book full of lies?
This goes to show how much of a beast havel is, hodrick had estus, area heals, and a absorption buff, havel had one short absorption buff, and it still went 2-3.
Hodrick my boy
Why Hodrik used ESTUS. IS HAVEL NO?
Obviously without ESTUSES it would have been 5: 0 in favor of Havel
@@HunterPlayStream you just copy and pasted this on every comment that says hidrick wins
i love how youtube thinks this is skyrim
Nah, without chugging Hodrick wouldn't have stand a chance against THE ROCK. Still think Havel is the winner, IMHO.
you could see this as a metaphor of what PVP in these game usually boils down to
there is the one guy who employs all sorts of stuff and utilizes a wider arsenal such as weapon arts, spells and even parries and then there is the other who just wears Havels and swings until his bar is drained
unfortunately the latter has a habit of winning a bit too often in reality
Guess I'm not the only one who struggles with Hedrick.
These two certainly know how to entertain! Best of 5 was the best decision for this. Havel has been a legend since Dark Souls 1, but Hodrick is definitely a worthy wonder even at the end of the series. For future battles, I'd like to see Sif vs. the Sanctuary Guardian, and I wonder how much sheer damage Quelaag and the Gaping Dragon can do with their lava and stampede against bosses. I feel they would be excellent for Best of 3/5 battles.
2:49 nice parry
Havel's like "You wouldn't be shit if you couldn't drink!"
Hodrick ftw

@@HunterPlayStream tbh you are right if Havel use estus he ll not win he ll win easily but Havel think the Estus for casual that's it, for me i lovr both of them but Hodrick more buddy 😉

@@HunterPlayStream just chill man take it easy

This shows that Havel is 50% rock, 50% deer; he really enjoys wasting time encasing himself and just stops all he's doing as that bright ball of warm light comes out
