Lol, imagine if he pulled up again with a dozen Astels and Fallingstar beasts with him. Sure, those were the things he wanted to keep out of the Lands Between, but this Radahn's already lost his wits.
I love how Ranni's team was just a stereotype MMO squad, they had Iji as a tank, Blaidd as a warrior, Rennala as a mage, and Tiche as a rogue/debuffer. And it worked super well too lmao
Every other team: "Yo let's just get our biggest, fattest hitters and wail on her!" Ranni's team: "Okay, let's strategize with roles for a well-balanced team that can make the best of everyone's abilities."
Godrick: Couldn't dodge roll his way out of the rot Radahn: The smartest one - got the hell out of there once the rot showed up again Rykard: If only Malenia had brought the Storm Ruler instead of the healing sword Margaret: He fell Mohg: They were both nihil by the end Ranni: Of course she won, she had four times as many arms as Malenia Maliketh: Proved that even when you can heal an unlimited amount just by attacking, you still don't have enough healing for Maliketh.
@@mertontaylor5052 Rennala is not Ranni as far as I know. The Rennala you fight in the second phase in Raya Lucaria is an illusion CREATED by Ranni to protect her mother, but Ranni is a separate entity.

Yeah but why do you think he started grafting and lording? This very much makes sense. Base diluted Godrick < Demigod form Malenia. Grafted Godrick & Co > Demigod form Malenia < Goddess form Malenia. It's kinda beautiful how well the lore matches the gameplay.
@@TheStraightestWhitest oh that makes sense now actually. I just thought he started grafting much earlier due to his weskness compared to the rest of the golden lineage
@@domesticcat1725 I also originally thought so mostly because I felt like it would be utter insanity to challenge Malenia when you're Just Some Guy (although a demigod), but if you look at the monument documenting his defeat at the hands of Malenia, you will notice that it says "Godrick the Golden" - a name nobody except for Morgott uses. Everybody seems to have started calling him Godrick the Grafted as soon as he started, well, grafting. So the monument implies that this whole ordeal happened before he started grafting or only when he had like...two extra limbs maybe, ie so soon after starting that people still used his original name.
Radahn got afflicted with so much scarlet rot, he magically regained his wits and decided to start up a shop with Patches. Together they shall kick down plenty of fools down holes and keep the stars where they belong: in the sky.

But I kinda want the halligtree.* Maliketh: bitch ima bout to solo you remember your uncle

At first I thought Ranni's party seemed too weak ("Does Ranni even have battle AI?"), but then I realized she actually has a really well-balanced team comp. Iji and Blaidd are tanky and aggressive enough to hold aggro while she and her mom hang back and spam spells, and I know firsthand that Tiche is really strong in this fight
Tiche is broken enough to basically handle her first phase solo. Also, not sure how “lore accurate” the groups are. Radahn and Godrick both use the lion things, which seems weird, but Radahn doesn’t use Redmane Knights and Godrick doesn’t use the Stormveil ones. Black Knife Tiche does make sense for Ranni, though
@@eXJonSnow yeah the Mohg group especially was off - Elemer seems to be part of house Marais who literally worship Malenia, and the Fire Prelate worships the Fell God which is in opposition to Mohg's Formless Mother.
Tbh Godrick did way better than I expected. He was so close to beating her but that flower explosion just so powerful. Turns out grafting does have its benefits
The Godrick fight was kinda crazy. As much fun as it is seeing Malenia get gang-banged into the ground, she basically won the entire fight off two uses of Scarlet Aeonia, which is broken as fuck
What an interesting battle. Sadly in my game, team Ranni only had just me and let’s just say it took about 100 or so deaths and hours of frustration before being able to kill Malenia.
I used dual great hammers and no summons I dont know how many deaths it took but it took me 9 hour straight of running at the boss over and over to beat malenia.
Took me dual Blood infused Colossal Swords with the claw talisman and Mimic Tear for extra stagger and bleed to beat her ass. My right hand weapon also had Bloodhound step because JESUS her anime move is unfair as hell. She acts like a heat-seeking missile. It lasts longer in phase 2 also. Malenia kinda sucks in overtuning and that anime bs move replaced an actual really cool and beautiful no bullshit super move. Look it up.
Just summon help, nobody will bully you if you summon other players to help. Fun trick I've learned, the less clothing the player is wearing, the stronger they are.
So interesting to see the continuous tick damage from Maliketh can counter Melania's healing. Right before phase 2 Maliketh hit 2 sword blasts and one dead on stab. She lost like 1/3 of her health at the start of phase 2. I never realizes Maliketh's attacks are these devastating, a mere tarnished usually don't have this kind of health and will die in 2 hits.
i modded after my1st playthrough to have like 500k hp and let me tell you black flames and malikeths red and blakc flames FUCKING HURT. They do HP% DMG so they dont give a fuck HOW much hp u got they will eat through it
Pretty sure that health reduction thingy is bugged too, once when fighting Malenia with the Tiche spirit summon, Tiche hit Malenia with one of those ranged attacks, her poise broke and I could critical hit her, after that, Malenia kind of just stood there for a second before entering second phase, where she had about 10% HP left. Couldn't replicate it in later attempts sadly, but maybe if someone finds out how to do that consistently it can be an easy way to cheese phase 2? (and yes, she did kill me with only 10% HP)
Thats why I went and killed Maliketh and used his weapon + the spell he gives you for Malenia. Hitting her with either one burns her HP away like this, and if you hit her with the weapon art of Malekith's blade is absolutely ANNIHILATES her.
@@kylehendricksilveralvin5376 I think you had a similar experience that I had, where they might’ve been stance broken before phase 2, were you locked in the critical hit animation when phase 2 started? Or did the black flame hit her as it started? I think it might be a health lock bug, I uploaded the clip to my channel if you wanted to see if we both experienced similar things
Gotta say, someone needs to mod bosses being able to grab each other so that we can witness HORAH LOUX, WARRIOR nuclear DDT Malenia from the stratosphere all the way down to Deeproot Depths
The issue is Malenia also has a grab, and it does way more damage than any of horah louxs. So Malenia would get slammed and then Horoah Loux would get impaled on her blade. She'd still win even with grabs implemented.
@@hello-gy6xk she only has the one grab, tho, that she does not use often. Also, she is VERY staggerable compared to other bosses, and Horah Loux is easily the most aggressive boss in the game. I feel between his grab every other attack, him comboing the f* out of her, and his arena wide stomps, Horah definitely has a chance.
honestly the mohg v malenia one was the most beautiful to me, with their wings and how they felled each other at the same time. can you imagine an animation of her showing up at his palace, in full phase 2 fury after finding out what mohg did to miquella? this is the closest will probably ever get to that
@@landoncook2782 actually mohg stole miquela from the haligtree before maturing and hope that by supplying blood he can make miquela mature with himself as the consort using him to gain power

@@Iceyy3x when she uses her Scarlet Aeonia she becomes the goddess of rot. It's temporary until she does it for the third time, but she does become equal to Marika, roughly
Yeah it fits lore quite well, how radahn could beat her first phase but then would of possibly lost to her second, her scarlet rot is truly only second to destined death.
@@putent9623 lore wise he doesn’t lose to her second phase, he’s so powerful she has to poison him and he can’t retaliate because he’s a mindless beast and then she gets carried away
It just shows that the "optional area" bosses and zones are relatively tougher than the story zones. Volcano manor, blood palace, and our moon waifu's family all did excellent jobs.
This actually kind of makes perfect sense. We know everyone fears Maliketh, so it makes sense that he can win. It also makes sense that the god devouring Rykard and his god killing godskins could win as well. And finally it also makes sense that Ranni, Renalla and the cosmic power and mysteries around their families could win as well.
@@Gorthnag Yea I honestly thought Mohg and those enemies he came with were going to mop the floor with her given how strong some of those enemies are but it was pretty funny that they killed each other.

@@lucjeb9254 I don't think he can control where the giant meteors land, since they're like...sentient, or something. All he can do is let them slip their leash.
Weirdly enough, I think Maliketh would canonically be able to defeat Malenia. Obviously, the game doesn't perfectly envision FromSoft's vision but we do get to see that in the trailers. Malenia and Radahn are roughly the same level and are by far the strongest demigods compared to everyone. It's why Malenia and Radahn are the only ones who have actually fought because nobody else can stand up to them. The only exception is Maliketh because only Marika knew about him and since he controls the rune of death, it would make sense he could kill all of the demigods including Malenia.
*Maliketh, Queen Marika's loyal half-brother, bore a blade imbued with Destined Death, and there was not one demigod who did not fear him. Champions knew what was at stake. Indeed, that is what made them champions * yeah maliketh definitely would clap them all
Considering one item says that all demigods feared Maliketh it's fair to say he would canonically beat all of them, and i love how the gameplay mirrors the lore in this case lol
@@A123ftw also there's a weapon that was given to Rykard by ranni incase Rykard had to fight Maliketh so that Rykard wouldn't just get clapped instantly and might put up a half decent fight
No, it just goes to show that these bosses were meant to be fought in their own arenas, and the soldiers were added to compensate for how brutally nerfed they got without their own full health and moveset. Godrick: Missed a phase. Morgott: Missed his most powerful attack, specifically an AOE. Rykard: Missed a phase. Mohg: Missed a phase and a one shot attack that would've wiped either of Malenia's phases instantly if it worked. Radahn: Missed a phase and his strongest attack that takes 80% of Malenia's health normally. Ranni: Should be obvious why, she literally can't fight. Which leaves Maliketh, who got shafted the most. Half his moveset is gone, and the other half especially his most dangerous airborne attacks are glitching out constantly because he gets stuck on shit mid-air and falls down, keeping him from stacking up Destined Death and direct damage, and allowing Malenia to attack him freely for literal seconds to heal herself. Hell it got him stuck in her Waterfowl Dance and her thrust attack. Huge damage against him, huge heals for her. If he fights her in his own arena at 100% health, he literally wins 10/10 fights (and this is how it would canonically go). Even if he fights her at 50% health the way he fights us, he won 3/5 fights. Maliketh curbstomps her in lore and gameplay even when he gets shafted horribly like here. So I suppose you're not wrong about that last bit. That does certainly match the lore. But nah, Malenia isn't the strongest Demigod. That title probably falls to Mohg or Ranni.
@@TheStraightestWhitest I agree that the bosses were missing parts of the combat and of course they’re not in their own arena but if you have to base a characters winning chances around where they fight…. They’re probably not as strong as claimed. She was merged by getting outnumbered the other bosses were “nerfed” if you will, by unused phases or move sets. I agree that having things built around your move set in an arena helps tremendously but if that’s your trump card as a fighter it’s probably not the best argument on their behalf. Also I’d say Mohg isn’t truly a threat to her because in lore he had to steal Miquella away while Malenia was passed out after her fight with Radahn and Ranni herself says in the cutscene between Malenia and Radahn that those two were the mightiest demigods to remain. Not to mention Malenia is the only pure Empyrean in the game we fight and is the closest to God hood. I’d think it’s a safe bet to say she’s the most well rounded and dangerous character in the game.
@@YDD_Luke17 lord of blood mohg in his arena def wins off his second phase start up alone. For rykard you have to kill the snake to even wake him up and then he has a massive blasphemous blade with his fire spells. We already know rahdan nerfed himself and still went to a *draw*. Maliketh not being glitched beats them all. Ranni is strong but doesn't directly fight while her physical body is already dead.
@@YDD_Luke17 Dude you're arguing inside the lore against his points of programming issues. Of course if they were actually fighting there, Mohg would use his Nihil, Maliketh would jump all over the place, Radahn would've hit the Haligtree with his Meteor and Morgott would hit with his curse. Sure out of all of these, only Maliketh and Radahn still stand a real chance, even being superior when both aren't holding back. But still your counter-argument made no sense in context of what was the core of his point.
He very well might have one shot her if she was fighting him in an area where he could do his comet strike ... AND he's fighting her while holding back stars, so he might not even be doing it at full power.
I had a few other plans, but your suggestion is very appealing, and I spawned an idea from it. I think I will make bosses vs tough enemies my next video.
10:37 was such a badass moment. I looked away for a moment, expecting the phase 2 cutscene to play, but no, I looked back to see the waterfowl dance finally kicking someone else's ass.
Mushroom nuke. Someone in reddit figured it out. Scarlet rot is the "growth stage" of fungus, it's expanding, and when it has drained caelid, many mushrooms will "bloom" at the border with spire clouds to coat the remaining land in scarlet rot. Truly terrifying. Imagine if the fallout zone from a nuke just kept growing permanently.
This was a very good video. One of the best Elden Ring boss vs boss videos I've seen and a unique and cool concept too. It was hard to watch Malenia getting absolutely bullied at times but then she clutches with that scarlet rot aoe every time. Only one which she was never going to win was the Rykard one, and honestly I'm surprised Ranni's lot won. Malekith is no joke, for my money he's harder than Malenia and the only boss who can best her.
Ranni's team has the best strategy and the most pleasing to watched. I can't see a thing with the other team. Where's Ogha, the Redmane Knight? He should be in Radahn's team :'(
The lock-on could help reading the situation Malenia was in, I admit large enemies blocking sight is an issue. And sorry my bad Ogha isn't there, if I am gonna make another demigod squad battle video, he will participate :)

However in the story she should have the fragment of the death rune on her and her knife which also theoretically a one shot weapon.
@@zacharybosley1935 Destined Death is "death" but for the gods. For others, death is just death but Merika removed the death rune from the elden ring so no one can truly die.
@@KKKuma destined death is Death separated from the erdtree. In the lands between that just means that only people killed by the black blade truly die, because everything else is consumed by the roots of the erdtree unless they decide to do something truly fucked up.
Key takeaway: Maliketh AND Radahn are capable of defeating Malenia, and the only thing that makes her capable of really beating them is the rot. That says nothing about her skills with the blade though. I think she only lost to Rykard's group because he had a Godskin Duo backing him up, which is practically cheating, and with Ranni's group having Rennala for support it was a really bad matchup for Malenia. Same with Mohg. I'd like to see a one v one with him and Malenia, his bloodflame just ate through her healthbar. Of course, we all know that Radahn was the true winner in all of this.
I would like to argue that in solo case Radahn wouldn't have win against Melinia, but I think that has already proven in another match up video somewhere.
Neither of them won, there's a reason that it was a draw in the lore- even though they fought to a standstill, both ended up humiliated by the scarlet rot. The broken needle in the swamp seems to be Malenia's, which indicates that Radahn accidentally broke the needle, and she lost control over her desire to spread the rot. Millicent invades us for no reason when she's rotted, says something about nightmares due to the rot, and mentions that she has to find Malenia to return her strength of will to resist the rot after the fight with Radahn, and Malenia's dreamlike state when we encounter her makes me think that the needle breaking severely fucked with her perception of reality and self-control. She's essentially just a victim to her own curse at this point Which is actually more tragic if you think about the fact that the origin of the rot was an outer god- it means that two great warriors were felled and humiliated because something outside of their control thought it was funny. Radahn especially got the short end of the stick, bc he ended up dying as a bloodthirsty raving beast in what he thought was an honourable battle.
Funny thing is that Ranni/Renna was a trap card. She let her mother and servants fight, but the moment she would be attacked, it would have only granted her opponent instant death.
Out of all of the squads I expected Rykard's to win which he did. The whole concept of his army is to deal a buttload of damage and Rykard himself, if you let him hit you, does a good amount of stagger with his lava and a lot of damage on top of his health pool.
@@TheStoso2 Radahn can't solo Malenia, If you mean the video with 3 rounds where her Ai gets bugged during the second round and she loses than it was the mod bug which didn't make the summon attack appear and she was stuck in the air was a bug, Every other round he lost.
@StarSimp In their prime? You mean the small clip we got in the opening? She was holding back the rot her whole life, She let it out for the first time and he lost his mind and Caelid is a mess, Physically he is definitely stronger but overall hell no, Radahn is not weak at all but we don't know much about that fight and what we do know is The Rot Goddess won cause except for the rot eating her away weakening her, Radahn didn't really beat her much, Also Radahn isn't holding the stars or something like that as a burden Idk why people assume that, He took them over and again Prime is really something you can never use for the rot goddess cause she is dying from the rot the whole time and weakening as well.
@StarSimp malenia was suffering stage 4 everything cancer, she doesnt have legs or eyes, and just one arm, both are incredibly strong, both carry inmense burdens, but thats the thing, malenia never reached her prime, the scarlet bloom its yet to blossom a third time when it does she will become a goddess, and lets be real, look at radhan, one scarlet bloom to the face and he is as good as dead, he is still alive, but that makes it even, if anything she was slightly stronger, at least lorewise,
I love how Ranni sat there and didn't do anything. I imagine she doesn't have any combat mechanics. But I love the idea that she had so much faith in her mother and warriors (or little faith in Melania) that she just stood by on the sidelines.
What Fini said, 2nd phase Renalla is an illusion made by Ranni. And I think It's quite fitting tbh. Ranni not wanting to kill her step sister. Especially with how Ranni's whole endgame is to become a Goddess so that she can take the Greater Will and leave the cosmos. Allowing everyone in the Lands between to reclaim their Free Will and not be governed over by the Fingers, Greater Will & Outer Gods. She doesn't want to kill her sisters, just free them from the imposed will of the Elden Beast / Outer God
Godrick: Did way better then I thought he would. Had the attack power and raw defense for her normal attacks, yet couldn't endure the blooming attack. Radahn: I felt he would have won in the end if he pulled off his dive bomb attack. We'll call it a draw. Rykard: Just too tanky and his fire aura counters her regen hits. Margaret: He's versatile but doesn't matter much against Malenia who just out damages. Mohg: I personally considered Mohg the hardest boss because of his mechanics. Was a narrow win but a win none the less. Ranni: Didn't expect her group to win, even if she just sat there. Does show how powerful magic just is along with Blaidd who really rushed in with the attack.

I love that difference between (most) other demi-god and Ranni. Others wanted power (mainly) for themselves, they consider themselves the strongest of their forces, but Ranni found strong loyal followers she helped grow stronger so they can fight for her (even tho she is very strong herself as well). Marika has used and abandoned her subordinates before. Given that Ranni killed her own step-brother Godwyn for her ambitions, I'm not sure if the divine royals of the Lands Between are that pure of heart.
yes strong and loyal seluvis, and strong and loyal shadow literally factory made to serve by fingers. Only legitimately loyal follower ranni had was iji
Melenia is an accomplished Swordswoman. She at least earned her strength and made a detrimental curse into a power she can wield. Ranni is intelligent and knows the power and benefits of unity which earned her loyalty and respect among her followers she considers family.
Best thing about Ranni is that, if she was part of the battle, she'd have won. She's the only character capable of just one-shotting the player with literally 0 effort.
It is interestingly enough why he began grafting in the first place. He hid from Radahn, and got into battle with Malenia and her army who humiliated him.
Better than garden of eyes, was able to predict a Rykard win and a Mohg win (even though Mohg's win was way closer than i thought). Surprised Renala's team won too, thought Iji was gonna be a punching bag and heal all of Malenia's HP. Other teams like Godrick could have faired better if anyone attempted to not eat the Scarlet Aeonia at point blank. Still, shows how amazingly OP Malenia is
You don't win if you die in the attempt. That's a tie. He did kill her FIRST though and then died of the rot so he's it's actually the 'winner' of the draws I think?
The only one there that could've probably solod her and won without dying was Rykard, and it wouldn't even be because of Rykard's own power, but because of the God-Devouring Serpent portion of his body.
The fact that maliketh is the only sole being "before our appearance" that can apply death to people is the reason why everyone and everything is scared of him
Ranni one spell = Rennalla phase two. Ranni is indeed, super powerful, she even became a god at the end, or already is one at the end. Implying that she is on Malenia level of divinity after Malenia turned into a goddess. Ranni ~ Malenia, you just never get to fight her seriously. Everyone of these boss vs. Malenia fights it’s always the same thing: They completely run right through her in phase 1, but in phase 2 she does that stupid scarlet rot flower bomb and obliterates them.
The Morgott-team battle freaking killed me 😂 All that firepower just raining down in waves and STILL Malenia is just like, NOO! Also, I respect that Maliketh was the only one that could win on his own, albeit at the cost of his life. I think he and Malenia are the strongest warriors in the story. One is an Empyrean with celestial powers and the other is the master of Death itself, with a history of having killed an Empyrean in the past.
Maliketh in lore is more than likely the strongest creature outside of Marika herself. Even the demigods feared the black blade. That being said, Malenia and Radahn before he got super aids could have prolly killed him in a team up, but he’s still in a league only comparable with Marika herself.
@@austaryxthelastofthesane3870 Yeah, with Death at his command, I think he simply had something the others didn’t. @@avdima5000 Yeah maybe it was that one! Interesting. And yeah, Radahn is definitely the strongest demigod, but the characters I mentioned, Maliketh, Malenia, and Marika are not demigods. This fills me with great confidence for my future attempt as this boss. O_O; Also I love that the only times she lost was due to spell spam, tick damage (after she won no less) and the magic pixel of health. Malenia is the player in these fights. ^_^
The funny part is how much worse this would have gone for Malenia if Ranni herself fought. Awesome video dude would love to see a recreation of Radahn v Melania with clean rots and Remanes in the wailing dunes. Also feel like radahn got kind of robbed really wanted to see him nuke Malenia with his mandrop lol so maybe that arena would allow him to?
The fight has been done with Malenia beating him even after tanking the meteor with her face... The only time it was competitive it was when Radahn was given 3x his normal hp and Malenia 40% of hers.
I thought Renalla's battle might be close due to her being a zoner with high DPS who can hide behind minions, but the moment I saw Tiche on the lineup I knew they had the win. Tiche is incredible vs Malenia, and can hold her own for extended periods against everything short of Waterfowl Dance (which usually does around half her health give or take). She staggers Malenia with almost every hit, can dunk her out of her jumping moves, and dodges an extraordinary number of her hits just by spamming her drift dodge. One of the few exceptions to the "don't summon against Melania" rule, alongside Mimic Tear cheese strats.
Tiche's AI is also incredibly intuitive. You can clearly see she dodged the scarlet bloom, and I know she did because even in my fights with Malenia, Tiche always dodged the bloom. I honestly believe that if you take away Malenia's healing attacks, Tiche might actually beat her 1 on 1. People always pick Melina or Ranni as the best girl in Elden Ring but man, Tiche is my ride or die and I would gladly be her consort. LOL

@@SamuelPierce115 you're missing so much stuff bro he is the coolest not because of his stats(they are pretty good tho) but because he can do a weird spell where you do extra damage to the boss
Fun fact: Malenia is only 'undefeated' because she hasn't fought 90% of the cast. She beat Godrick who as we all know is a joke in terms of dueling power. Radahn is questionable. Simps from both side gonna eat my head if I make a statement so ignoring him. But besides those two she hasn't fought anyone worthy enough for her moniker of being "undefeated" to even matter. I'll list a few people in the lore who would stomp on her - Radagon, her daddy (and mommy?) - Godfrey, arguably stronger than Radagon since as Horah Loux he was monstrous enough to become elden lord and his power was actually sealed via Serosh and his grace taken away since the greater will considered him a threat if he turned against them. - The black knife order, literally people who are skilled in the art of slaying demi gods. - Morgott, this is a theory/speculation since he never took part in the war. However, if you watch the opening cutscene it shows him destroying Radahn 1v1 to protect the capital from his advance. He literally came out of the sewers and bitch slapped Radahn into submission (back then Radahn wasn't the starscourge and wasn't a master of gravity magic and also was hence much smaller in size) - Malekith. He is the shade of Marika herself, implying he was capable or at least had the power to kill Marika/Radagon if he ever wished to do so (same logic as Blaidd being stronger than Ranni).
Lore wise, she is the only Demi-god offspring that has achieved godhood. Unless you count Rykard because he lets the serpent devour him and assimilate himself into it or Ranni who only became one at the end of the story. Mohg got power from the formless mother is probably very close to godhood as well, also it is also implied that Ranni is indeed, quite powerful, her mother Renalla is a mortal that has power comparable to a demi god, Ranni 's illusion magic alone is Renalla phase 2, that's just 1 single spell from Ranni lol. Radagon/ Marika is probably the same person, that or Radagon is a hidden god chosen by the Elden beast. Isn't it weird that only Malenia and Miquella suffer from weird divine syndrome while the other demi-gods don't? Close blood offspring or selfcest? Also both of them are said to possess tremendous divine power, to the point Miquella was trying to grow into a real god, and Malenia is the only one who actually ascended (well except Ranni at the end of the story). Radahn was told to be the strongest of them all (but that was a really long past, he practically only roaming the battle field and eating coprse after the war with Malenia, if anything that version of Radahn only decline in power, and Radahn power grown after Morgott beat him, and so can any other living demi-gods). And Malenia at that time is still one of the youngest demi-gods. Maliketh is actually a possibility because he is Marika/Radagon shadow beast, he is, in a way, hold a part of an actual god. And his power is meant to kill everything, as a symbol of the order power, it was not merely a normal power, but power granted by the greater will, a representation of power to uphold the order in its will.
@@clorkmagnus Malenia is not demi god but empyrean, since she's born to Marika/Radagon who is the same person. so that make her empyrean and not demi god. so she's way stronger then everyone else. also can't wait to have an DLC with Miquella as a boss would be insane
I love the idea but when you said ''elite soldiers'' I was expecting enemies you fight to get to that boss or those he could potentially recruit to fight with him. Enemies that could be associated with like the area at least if not the boss himself. 2 of Mogh's ''soldiers'' would have made way more sense for Rykard or Morgott for instance since they're found in Altus and Mt. Gelmir.
Great video. I was trying to guess the carian family squad. I had them all except the Tiche. Thought it was gonna be that carian warrior who guards Rennalas Elevator.
By the end: "I wonder if there's anyone that really can defeat her? Maybe Maliketh?" Rykard, who wiped the floor with her and still had over 90% of his HP left: "Am I a joke to you?"
Kind of interesting that the same concept holds true for your fight against her as it does for the bosses fight against her it all depends on whether she decides to waterfowl or not.

Even before the Shattering, Maliketh was powerful enough to earn his title "Death of the Demigods".
@@A123ftw also there's a weapon that was given to Rykard by ranni incase Rykard had to fight Maliketh so that Rykard wouldn't just get clapped instantly and might put up a half decent fight
The fact she has to be nerfed to a 5v1 goes to show just how powerful and capable she is as an Empyrean. Kind of matches with the lore too in a way.

The lock-on could help reading the situation Malenia was in, I admit large enemies blocking sight is an issue. And sorry my bad Ogha isn't there, if I am gonna make another demigod squad battle video, he will participate :)

Joke aside, she never does anything in the game. However in the story she should have the fragment of the death rune on her and her knife which also theoretically a one shot weapon.
Ranni had a full ass raid party. Rennala the mage, iji the tank, Blaidd the warrior and tiche the assassin.

I love the boss intros! Really made it feel like a filmed raid boss fight.
Radahn technically won in my eyes, seeing as he is the only one that actually got out of there alive.
@Elliot Rose He had a Godskin duo he doesn't count
I would like to argue that in solo case Radahn wouldn't have win against Melinia, but I think that has already proven in another match up video somewhere.
@@xeseriesthepsycho Rykard is a scrublord for that.
She's essentially just a victim to her own curse at this point
Which is actually more tragic if you think about the fact that the origin of the rot was an outer god- it means that two great warriors were felled and humiliated because something outside of their control thought it was funny.
Also dudes a semi gimmick boss, just like yhorm, without the specific weapon they are op af
There's videos of radahn solo'ing her
@@TheStoso2 Radahn can't solo Malenia, If you mean the video with 3 rounds where her Ai gets bugged during the second round and she loses than it was the mod bug which didn't make the summon attack appear and she was stuck in the air was a bug, Every other round he lost.
The Rennalla we fight in the second phase is an illusion made by Ranni so Rennallas contributions here can be seen as Rannis.

The only faction standing is Rennala's Carian royal family. At her prime time Melania wasn't born yet. So the golden order Rannala face had (Merika, Gadfery, Ragadon, Godwyn, Godrick, Morgott, Mohg and Malekith). I'm not saying she fought all of them at once. The only one Rennala is stated to have actually faced in combat is Radagon, but those two shacked up pretty damn quick, though I will grant you that she is said to have led the glintstone knights.
I love that difference between (most) other demi-god and Ranni. Others wanted power (mainly) for themselves, they consider themselves the strongest of their forces, but Ranni found strong loyal followers she helped grow stronger so they can fight for her (even tho she is very strong herself as well). Kinda like Marika herself. The Queen vibe is strong.
UPDATE: lol I don't know what half of you is trying to argue about in the comments, I claimed none of the things you just got pissed about and urged to correct me on asap.
Ranni is literally evil.
For all the shit that one may give Godrick, he almost got her with his grafted bois...
It is interestingly enough why he began grafting in the first place. He hid from Radahn, and got into battle with Malenia and her army who humiliated him.
also if she'd used waterfowl dance more she'd have won a lot more of these a lot faster, the amount of healing it gives her against groups is insane
I love how Ranni's team made swift work of her, and how Morgott's team just tossed her around in the beginning lol
The fire effects of Mohg, even out of his arena, are outstanding
Better than garden of eyes, was able to predict a Rykard win and a Mohg win (even though Mohg's win was way closer than i thought). Surprised Renala's team won too, thought Iji was gonna be a punching bag and heal all of Malenia's HP. Other teams like Godrick could have faired better if anyone attempted to not eat the Scarlet Aeonia at point blank.
Still, shows how amazingly OP Malenia is
Thing it’s the reason she wins most of theese fights is because of the ai not avoiding the scarlet aoenia and waterflow dance
Mostly the aeonia
I wouldn't even count mohg there as a win because he still died at the end
You don't win if you die in the attempt. That's a tie. He did kill her FIRST though and then died of the rot so he's it's actually the 'winner' of the draws I think?
The only one there that could've probably solod her and won without dying was Rykard, and it wouldn't even be because of Rykard's own power, but because of the God-Devouring Serpent portion of his body.
Ranni's group just works so well together like they where ment to fight together, no wonder their the only ones who won with one casualty
Everybody gangsta until the flower blooms.
The fact that maliketh is the only sole being "before our appearance" that can apply death to people is the reason why everyone and everything is scared of him

All that firepower just raining down in waves and STILL Malenia is just like, NOO!
And yeah, Radahn is definitely the strongest demigod, but the characters I mentioned, Maliketh, Malenia, and Marika are not demigods. Maliketh is a beast and Malenia + Marika are Empyreans. That’s why I felt confident saying what I said about Maliketh and Malenia being extremely powerful.

@@shadearca I mean malenia is a late game boss so that’s fair
Malekith: fine I'll do it myself
I wish so bad we could do the Tiche drift.
LOL

The presentation here was absolutely top notch!
Chad radahn left the fight to keep the lore consistent and to spare Leonard the fate of scarlet rot. What a legend.
I'll list a few people in the lore who would stomp on her
- Radagon, her daddy (and mommy?)
- Godfrey, arguably stronger than Radagon since as Horah Loux he was monstrous enough to become elden lord and his power was actually sealed via Serosh and his grace taken away since the greater will considered him a threat if he turned against them.
- The black knife order, literally people who are skilled in the art of slaying demi gods.
- Morgott, this is a theory/speculation since he never took part in the war. However, if you watch the opening cutscene it shows him destroying Radahn 1v1 to protect the capital from his advance. He literally came out of the sewers and bitch slapped Radahn into submission (back then Radahn wasn't the starscourge and wasn't a master of gravity magic and also was hence much smaller in size)
- Malekith. He is the shade of Marika herself, implying he was capable or at least had the power to kill Marika/Radagon if he ever wished to do so (same logic as Blaidd being stronger than Ranni).
I only agree with Radagon and Malekith. Everything else is stupid as fuck
agreed
@@clorkmagnus you said the same thing he did

I love the idea but when you said ''elite soldiers'' I was expecting enemies you fight to get to that boss or those he could potentially recruit to fight with him. Enemies that could be associated with like the area at least if not the boss himself. 2 of Mogh's ''soldiers'' would have made way more sense for Rykard or Morgott for instance since they're found in Altus and Mt.
