Did you know that this pattern actually emerged from the folk people weaving little businesses in the countryside over a thousand years ago, and became popular at the end of the Genroku period when new laws on luxury forbade extravagant fabrics and especially painted and embroidered fabrics and certain colours deemed to luxurious and only allowed to the aristocracy. And so the Asanoha pattern re-emerged as it went around those law while allowing people to wear something else than just plan colours or stripped fabri. And became especially popular in the sashiko style because it allows to create the pattern using tension rather than complicated needlework while at the same time making the fabric stronger hence also its philosophical image that it also makes the wearer stronger because it makes the fabric more resistant to tears and ripping. And it was a favourite pattern during the edo period for firefighter to bring them strength and resilience. Here is an example of it on Japanese embroidery ruclips.net/video/XiLdsM3s2xo/видео.html Here is how this pattern is drawn in Japan. ruclips.net/video/7_R9UBFFUiM/видео.html
I used to be very unconcerned with mathematics and geometry in high school, but ever since I've discovered esoteric knowledge and its ties to sacred geometry and learned to incorporate it into my art, your videos have been a great source of creativity and inspiration.
Same here, I don't remember a single thing they were trying to teach in school, but I'm pretty sure they never mentioned it's the language of absolutely everything in the universe. Glad you're feeling inspired! 🙏🏻
Hi from Australia. You explained that well. By the time your microphone picks up the construction noise and my phone emits the sound it doesn’t sound bad at all. I came across this clip as I’ve been looking up Furoshiki wrapping material. I’d like to see more Japanese patterns like this. Thanks.
??question?? what do you use on your work surface under your paper? for the constant metal tip poking holes......just found you and love your work....thanks

I have to mention that the background noise is barely noticeable. I often hear RUclipsrs apologize for some noise that I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. I prefer videos with voiceovers but this wouldn’t ruin an asmr. Also have you been living in an air bnb for 2 years??
@@ZKorvin that’s a new one for me! I thought they were just temporary. ANYWAY. I’d never thought about how these drawings were made which is weird cuz I’m an artist. I guess I thought they free handed until they finally got it lol
Hi! I'm Japanese!
I always enjoy watching your videos!
What a beautiful pattern! Thanks for showing us how to draw it.
My pleasure!

This pattern is also used in Sashiko Quilting which is also from Japan as well.
Beautiful stuff! Really appreciate your sharing these Geometric designs - Interesting how the Mistubishi logo is also contained within this pattern!
What's your favourite pattern?
Flower of Life is the coolest in my opinion. It contains so much within itself.
Asanoha all the way!
The Flower of Life 🙌

Thats the Asa no ha. Its cannabis which the samurai were very fond of. Nice.
Man, this was a challenge but once you find your rhythm it’s not bad. Just have to have total focus which is why I love doing these.
Stunning....as usual...
I could swear I've seen this pattern in synagogues I know
Great channel :)

@@ZKorvin 🌹Awesome!
ZAC YOU ARE AHHH!MAZING. What’s the best measurement to use with the protractor?
30 or 60. I'm not sure, I don't use them. 🙏🏻
I think I need to make some of these.
??question?? what do you use on your work surface under your paper? for the constant metal tip poking holes......just found you and love your work....thanks
I just put a couple pieces of paper underneath. 🙏🏻
@@ZKorvin ahhhh smart....I am going to try to use a cutting mat
What pens or markers do you use my guy? My felt tips soak too much. Need something that doesnt soak into the paper.
Cheers 🙏

Here I'm first
With due respect, this is actually Islamic geometry art and these patterns could be found on many buildings and mosques all over the world.
True but I imagine other cultures stumbled on the same pattern back in the day without any outside influence.
Sacred geometry was around before islam was created.
