One addition to the referral part. When approaching someone from a big company (Amazon, Microsoft, Google etc.), do your research and find opening/openings that you are interested in and think that you will be a right fit for. There are always huge number of openings across various teams. It’s unfair to expect the person you are approaching to search for an opening that will fit your interests and experience. It may come across as disrespectful. You will have better chances of getting a referral if you share the openings along with a short description on why you will be the right fit.

To be very honest, I've always preferred the UX of Google services more than that of Microsoft. I think that's why they have to invest more in terms of talent in that area
The line which he said engineer mngrs would adore designers.. this reallllllly makes designers soooo motivated while working... but this is v rare too 😒😏🙄 very sad part.. but this was an amazing video i really loved it....
Microsoft many times ignore people who does not have degree (i am not talking about design degree here) I applied multiple times but they rejected me just because i am not eligible.
Microsoft have users . So obviously they need UX .Btw I dont think so Microsoft UX team is that great of place to grow . You need to work on a product and I think Microsoft is far fetched in that regard. You end up working as a addition in existing successful product . Meh , its just waste of time .
Hey Punit , I face a constant roadblock in my design process which is Multiple Design Options. Suppose there is a niche website , I kind of fall into the same trap or design result for any same kind of applications. How can we effeciently produce multiple viable options for a same kind of app?
Thanks for the feedback Shiva. To be honest I had to cut out a lot because it was more than an hour long. Wanted to keep it short and crisp. Will definitely look into it next time :)
You have interview from a interaction designer who is ex Microsoft... But still write UX/UI designer... You did that as the audience don't kno that or as you are confused that UX and UI are 2 different thing..
I do know the difference and we actually spoke about it behind the scenes. I used UX/UI because I understand that my audience connects more to that :). Also, his role was connected closely to UX and UI
@@PunitChawla Yes Punit, that's what I I thought, but don't you thing as a influencer with 50k subscribers don't you feel it's your responsibility to guide the audience that UX designer and UI designer are different role... Knowing and understanding both is a advantage but both are completely different fields... Teach your subscribers rather than using wrong term to just attract more audience... Thanks, Abhijeet

Honestly i feel like Microsoft has nothing to say about UX design, it's a dream job just because of the money
For me not because of money, but for the people and work culture.

If someone wants to see real UX design or what is the UX design just check Apple:) Microsoft?? Nah!
@@vi8946 True . But the experience working in a startup would get us more knowledge than apple .Just my thought .
