Thanks for sharing your adventure. I camped there last summer and it’s my favorite place to camp not only because it’s beautiful, secluded but very peaceful. Absolutely no road noise just peace. LOVE your night video/photos!
Thank you. I really appreciate this positivity. I need to pack up and get out for a new trip. Vermont has impressed me each time so I should get over there this summer.
@@RachelWhelton i camped at Wilgus in May last year and took a ride with my buddy checking out several campgrounds and when we visited Coolidge I fell in love with it! We camped in the upper area but checked out the lean-to area and were impressed with the views where you stayed along with Hawthorn and Aspen. We scoped out 3 other areas and found that Townshend was pretty special too it offered platform camping. Worth a visit especially site 16 and 18, 19. Once again Thanks for the video!!
Logging NOTE: Husband informs me that the logging truck in this video is not used to pluck trees out of the ground with the claw. Instead the claw is used to pick up fallen logs and place them into a log carrying truck.
Yes, thanks for mentioning. Husband told me that after he saw my video and I felt pretty silly that I had guessed it pulled trees directly from the soil! Seems very funny now.
I have never had Lyme disease. My dog did get Lyme disease in a severe way but luckily the vet's antibiotic saved her. Of course she does use preventative medicine and I check her daily but somehow it got her. She is fine now but I keep a close eye. I live in a meadow of deer so I am not at all afraid of ticks and deal with them frequently. But I do respect the danger. For visitors, I recommend wearing light colored socks/pants/shorts and absolutely checking yourself, changing clothes, and even showering if possible after going out through tick areas, especially in the spring. I heard they are developing a new vaccine that works even after infection so let's hope that is coming in our future.
Been many times, my favorite place in the world
Yes, that is a special place. I would like to go back in every season!

This video is extremely helpful, thank you for making it!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the nice comment.
That claw on the truck is for stacking the logs into a pile until the transport logging truck shows up on the job to haul them away .

Thanks for the tip!
Has you ever got Lyme disease from walking through the woods in VT? Or has your dog got ticks?

Very nice! What was the ski area visible in the distance from your campsite?
