- Today I'm joined by friend and fellow RUclipsr @LoganBeck . Logan's been living and raising his family in Taiwan for over 5 years. He's joined me on a trip to the outskirts of Taichung City to visit 龍莊烤乳豬 a restaurant famed for its Hong Kong Cantonese inspired roast suckling pig!

Lechón/ roast suckling pig/ 烤乳豬 originates from the traditional cuisine of Castile, Spain.
The key to the deliciousness of roast suckling pig is its crispy skin.
That sugar taste is 麥芽糖/ maltose, and the role of cucumber is to help relieve greasy!
I believe that the roast suckling pig roasted by yourself must be very delicious! Thanks a lot for sharing！👍😄👏

It's not really so that it doesnt burst. Asian suckling pigs are very different from german/european ones where they want the skin to puff up. It's a lot more like the spanish kind where the bubbles are viewed as undesirable.

Went here based on this recommendation. Was highly disappointed. Mediocre food at an expensive price. Pork was crispy, but that was really about it. Nothing special about this place in terms of food and what we ate was hardly Taiwanese food. More towards the Hong Kong palette if anything. I would not recommend this place and I’m not sure why so many RUclipsrs and celebrities think this place is so great. But hey, I’m one person with my own opinion and not a RUclipsr, celebrity, or social media influencer so what do I know? I do know that, like I said in the beginning of this comment, I was highly disappointed.
Taiwan (=republic of china) will be the same fate as South Vietnam in the past. I am South Korean, interestingly, in South Korea, South Vietnam was called Free Vietnam and Taiwan was called Free China.
You notice how the west split up each coastal Asian country to create internal conflicts amongst themselves so that nobody got time to challenge the west. Plus the central international banksters IMF can lend money and charge interest from both opposing sides not to mention the the weapon dealers selling lucrative deals on top of that

I wouldn't eat that if I were you. He cooked it over a gas fire which is not healthy. This is so that he can reduce the cooking time. This process should be over a charcoal fire.
