He's said in interviews basically because he's training to play a bodybuilder in his next film he's working out sometimes 2-3x a day while eating 6000+ calories of clean food, but has cheat days every week, or every two weeks depending on his working schedule. He's been in great shape for years so don't let the internet tell you this happened overnight and came out of a bottle.

Not really in terms of being in great shape for years. White boy rick he’s was a regular dude. It wasn’t until magazine dreams that he started to change but I figure he’ll stay this way because like the Rock his facial structure benefits from the added muscle and definition.
