Its so nice to see Jeff took time to pass down skills to his daughter and for her to pick up on the. And enjoy most of all working outlong side her dad !! They should make a youtube video teaching this new generation on how things done!! Simply amazing!!
Great work young lady. Never seen a young lady with so many talents as you awesome! Great to see young people work hard it’s what makes this country great. Y’all have a good one.
When you are installing or working in fiberglass insulation, take a cold shower afterwards. The cold water closes your skin pores and rinses the fiberglass fibers off you. I spent many years as an electrician being in contact with insulation all the time it seemed, and that lil “secret” worked for me.
Hannah you're doing one hell of a job! I enjoy all your videos. You need to go big! Send some of these videos to National TV stations. I can definitely see you on TV. You and your dad make a good team
You are one lucky young lady to have a father like you have. I'm sure any man you date knows what's coming to them if they mistreat you! So many young people missing out on having that father in their life.
One thing that can be said about the dad in this video is he obviously loves his daughter a lot. He’s always working on this build. She leaves the work site, he’s still working. She comes back to the work site, he’s still working. She gets there in the morning, he’s working
I've loved every video you have ever done. The one thing i want to really say is what an AWESOME Family you all have together. You have the world in your heart. Thank you for sharing this with us all. Preciate ya'll :)
I know that I'm a year late but, I really love this building! My little spot in the woods is getting one just like it (hopefully). Thanks for sharing this build.
I visited Enterprise for Christmas 1967 when I was stationed in Memphis in the Navy. My friends father was a flight instructor at Fort Rucker. The Army needed lots of pilots back then.
Maybe too late to help but you can cut the insulation easier if you put the fiberglass side down on the deck and use a utility knife to cut it. Use a board as a guide and press down on it to compress the FG and it cuts well. Also take a cold shower to help remove the FG from your body. Hot water opens your pores and it will attach itself easier. Always were a dust mask so you don't breathe that stuff as it's very harmful to your lungs. Goggles help keep it out of your eyes too. Years of doing FG insulation teaches some good tips. Building is looking great!
A bit late now but a cheap hospital type mask is a must. Also, when finished, shower in the coldest water possible so pores don't open for glass fibres. Great job. Love the new breakfast.
Y'alls gym house is looking Great keep up the Great work and videos and you did amazing job on putting the insulation up you are a very hard worker Hannah
Hannah you are one smart beautiful woman. Daddy is a lucky man to have such a great person around. Love your videos. Keep up the hard work. Looks great.
Hannah, what the heck, girl ?! You need a mask when messin’ with that insulation . A hat and gloves will make it a heck of lot less itchy later on. Tell your Daddy to get some ear protection when messin’ with that saw . I feel like Mr. OSHA for cryin’ our loud 😂
You can get those disposable white suits with a hood, and all you have to wear is shorts and a light top, yes you should be wearing a mask with that fibreglass. 😍😍 from New Zealand.
I was curious about your breakfast choices. Usually seems to be Reese's peanut butter cups, mountain dew and granola bars. I was thinking to myself, I think Hannah has found the key to happiness...lol...Love watching your videos. You and your Dad are awesome and amazingly talented. ✌❤
I don’t know how I missed thisun till now, but I saw you an your mom. I agree I hate fiberglass, but you sure bring the nanny out of men sometimes, half the posts were wear a respirator and hard hat. I love your knife and bet she’ll need sharpened after that. Future tip when you need to cut some place it between two boards to mash it down and cut down the edge of top board on the second board. I’m glad the Hurricane missed y’all.
There's this spray glue that we use at the company I work for that's a hell of a lot easier than staples. And we use the snap blade utility blades since it dulls knives so easily

Lay the insulation paper side up and kneel on a piece of one by and compact it then just make one easy cut and your done. Really keeps the dust down and it's fast.
I typically recommend stapling the paper flange to the edge and not the interior face. Leaving plenty of air gap between the eave edge and the ridge is important for ventilation.
the best thing you can do is put baby powder on your skin so the insulation doesn't get in your pours and make you ITCHY ,great video Hannah thanks for sharing
Run a few rows of string all the way across, top, middle, bottom of the walls, rafters. It will allow you to slide in all the insulation and then come back to secure it
2 things that will help you when doing insulation-1. use baby powder on exposed skin or areas that you think might get fiberglas on you, helps with the not itching. 2 wear a mask when doing insulation, better for your lungs.

You can rub baby powder on your skin before handling insulation and you won't itch, so you can still wear a t-shirt or shorts when it's hot, a professional insulation installer told me about this trick and it works! :)
When you wash up afterwards, use the coldest water you can....it will help to close up your pores so the fibers can't get in.....at least that's what I've heard from the pro's and it's worked for me.
A way to keep insulation off you is to rub baby powder on all exposed skin it wont stick to you and safety glasses those little fibers get into your eyes and will cause big problems a paper mask wouldnt hurt either builfings coming along great yall are a good team
Hannah, you live in high humidity area which means moisture id gonna get trapped in your walls and ceiling. Normally when a professional does work like that they insolate and put plastic on as a vapor barrier. That way when the mold comes, it doesn't get past the plastic and make you deathly sick. Then the wood go's up. So if you read this, you might want to think about taking all the wood back down and putting up the plastic. I got a good friend who's daughter went through a lot of surgery for sickness that could have been avoided if he had just known the builder decided to ignore the vapor barrier rule.
It appears you left a gap between the roofing and insulation which is good if you have ventilation on the soffits and the roof peak to move air or you will get condensation and in a few years mold.
I'm just throwing this out there, old, old orange or red insulation was the itchy fiberglass type and not manufactured anymore, the insulation today is mostly paper and some glass insulation combo they manufacture it to higher standards today and not like old school stuff BUT you are a woman and a young woman and your skin is soft and fine hell just air could make you itch......LOL no offense intended..........I'm very proud of you jumping in and getting it done you will go far Hannah.
