I think y'all should cool it some. It's not like her or her daddy do this all day, every day. This is a home project that decided to share with us. The long term effects of fiberglass in the lungs is something professionals need to worry about. Yes, she can and did breath a little of it. But not enough to be shittin kittens about. Now that that is taken care of. Hannah, you should really consider safety glasses when working with that at eye level, and above, at least. Gettin a splinter of fg or wood in the eye can happen to a project guy/gal just as easily as it can to a professional. Whether you do or not though is a personal choice. Thanks for sharing. btw I love the sped up parts.

When you are installing or working in fiberglass insulation, take a cold shower afterwards. The cold water closes your skin pores and rinses the fiberglass fibers off you. I spent many years as an electrician being in contact with insulation all the time it seemed, and that lil “secret” worked for me.

Maybe too late to help but you can cut the insulation easier if you put the fiberglass side down on the deck and use a utility knife to cut it. Use a board as a guide and press down on it to compress the FG and it cuts well. Also take a cold shower to help remove the FG from your body. Hot water opens your pores and it will attach itself easier. Always were a dust mask so you don't breathe that stuff as it's very harmful to your lungs. Goggles help keep it out of your eyes too. Years of doing FG insulation teaches some good tips. Building is looking great!

It brings back memories of the first house I built and installing that stuff in the attic with the temp and the humidity both around 90. I've since built 100's of homes but when the insulation is going up I refuse to even walk thru the house until the fiberglass is covered with vapor barrier. :-)

Just wondering why the Americans didn't have a diffusion-open tarpaulin on the roof? This film lets moisture inside out but not inside from outside. Moisture can now penetrate their insulation despite the metal roof. This means that the insulation no longer has any effect. Humidity in the insulation also causes mold.
