What a great story!! I remember when they filmed the movie. My grandparents lived in Lehi and it was such a huge deal when they were doing scenes at the roller mills. Awesome memories from and awesome time in life.
I saw this story on Fox 13 news Utah at 9 I love this story. Thanks for doing this. The reaction from Bob Evans and Allison croghan was so cool I can't stop smiling. Bob Evans has been my favorite news anchor for a long time. And Allison croghan is awesome doing the weather. You guys are definitely loved here in Logan. Yes please Kevin baccon come back to the great state of Utah for the prom.
At 1:54, that's cool how they have pictures on the wall above the lockers. I wonder who is going to get Kevin Bacon's locker when they tear down the school? They should either give it to Kevin or put it in the Smithsonian Institution. I saw this in the theaters way back in the summer of 1984. I will always like this movie, I don't know what it is about it. Maybe it's just the innocence, or reminds me of my youth, or because of all the action scenes, or maybe the great music soundtrack that came from it. It reminds me of simpler times, people just enjoying themselves and having fun.
The church and the house was on my street in American Fork. It was fun to know that they were filming but kind of a pain because they closed my street.
Its beautiful it is part of the memories from a lot of people because it was filmed in the real world. Something almost unheard of nowadays with giant movie sets and CGI. He is going.
Y’all are killin’ it! Excellent work - in all aspects. I’m so impressed and I used to work at a high school for the last 10 years. Y’all have serious talent. Keep going! Congratulations!
My locker, my senior year was right where they walk in front. I remember being jealous, because I was in jr high, & the band students got to go to the high school during filming for class. We were all jealous of older brothers & sisters who were in high school & got to be extras.
Ah, yes. I remember when they filmed Foot Loose in Payson. It's hard to believe that was forty years ago. It was a fun movie to watch as well since most people would say to themselves, "Oh, that's the Lehi Roller Mill!" or "That's Payson High School." I don't live in Utah anymore, even though I would love to be back in Utah. I hope Kevin Bacon does come back for the prom next year before the school is torn down. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
Why tear down the high school if it's structurally sound? Save the school!!! I saw the movie back when it first was released. I don't remember too much but I loved the music.
Sadly it won't be happened like that, at least not for Christopher Penn (acted as Willard Hewitt in the movie). Chris Penn was passed away on 24 January, 2006 with enlarged heart diseases when he was 41.
Grandparents had a house two blocks from Lehi Roller Mills, Lehi was a nice quiet little farming community when I remember it back in the 60’s and 70’s and early 80’s then California showed up and ruined everything
You said you have'nt met Kevin Bacon well you'll get your chance I encourage one and all to meet Kevin Bacon OK??!! Have fun!!! Ya'll have. great time now!!!! Ya Here!!!!

This past May marked the 40th birthday of this film. 2 months from now will be 40 years since it;s theatrical release.

Love this movie and I’m so proud to go to that school

It’s sad that they are replacing Payson High School with a new one. All that history and nostalgia gone.
Payson High will live on in Footloose ❤

I never watched the film except for the inevitable clips of the leading man. I'm glad the town enjoyed it so much
Lucky students and those great people involved
A great story and he came to the prom❤
So cool!
A lot of my nieces and nephews went to Payson High.
I think all the stars of Footloose should show up for prom.

I was 20, now I'm 60 years old. 😂
The fact that Kevin Bacon actually came back to the school just shows how cool he is!
Great !!

I am still in Lehi, have been for 55 years. I remember the filming at the Roller Mills. It has definitely changed since then.

Was there when they were. Filming.
Does the city have a dancing bans days 😂
It would be cool to see the cut cheer scene.
Fitting that it was filmed in Utah. Since Utah is the “before” version of the town in the movie
So where are the pictures of them at the club in provo where they snuk out dancing
Hope they save those lockers !!
❤👏🏻👏🏻😘
Better tear down Ogden High School. That place is getting too old as well.
I once dance now can not.
Have friend. Live cross street. From church. She stills lives In Payson in Utah
😂 that girl looks like Sarah Jessica Parker
Is. The camber. Still same. Gas station. Same what’s same. In Payson. In Utah
I would love to see all these deleted scenes.
What a shame the “Footloose 84” Highschool is gonna be demolished.
